NHL 26 is a very, very good hockey game. That said, there's a problem that we run into here that we have every single year, and that's the online UT mode. UT is fun for about a season and a half, and then even if you're playing it religiously, it quickly becomes pay to win, as you run into teams stacked far, far beyond what it's viable for a player to earn without shelling out hundreds of dollars in cash on UT packs.
I'd like to see EA introduce a separate "no pay" UT that doesn't reward the whales, but given the money they're doubtless making on these guys, I don't see it happening.
If you're buying this to play off-line, you'll have a blast, but if you're drawn in by UT, you'll eventually be disappointed.
