The camera is great for someone who wants to easily parallel park

We bought this to install on our daughter's car. She is a new driver and we wanted to add the extra measure of security of a rear view camera and the extra simplicity of an auto dimming mirror. We had it installed at our local Bestbuy location and that's where the horror story started. I found out a few months later when driving the car at night that the mirror was not dimming properly. Upon further investigation I found that the green led was not lit and in fact the whole mirror did not power up unless it was in reverse. Assuming an installation error, I tried to reschedule with their roadshop. Finding that our local store's shop was no longer open, I seeked an appointment with the next closest store. That was a complete disaster as I was met with complete resistance and an utter disregard for my convenience. I felt that they were trying to blow me off because the other store did the install and that it was not their problem. When I finally got the car in I found that the tech on duty had no idea what he was doing and instead of retracing the install, he simply jumped the camera circuit to the park lamp circuit in the car. This meant that the camera would now be on all of the time when driving at night. Not only dangerously distracting, but also not at all addressing the concern. Not understanding the ridiculousness of his solution I asked for the store manager. That also proved fruitless as I was then summarily dismissed. I have since checked the installation myself and found that while it appears to be properly installed as far as the wiring is concerned, but it still does not work as designed. I would love for Bestbuy to not only stand behind the product, but more importantly their installation! We've spent thousands of dollars at Bestbuy over the years, but not another dollar will be spent there again until they help us out on this issue. While I'm sure that this product may be worth it, I either have a defective unit, or power relay. I would like Bestbuy to step up and make this right.

It's so easy to use. It has worked every time without issue.

Having a larger display in my other car it takes time getting used to the smaller display and having to look up to a different place. It is slightly slower bringing up the display, but it looks almost like the stock mirror in a 2006 mustang GT.

I hope that it’s better than the EchoMaster it replaced that became blurred shortly after the one year warranty expired. Somewhat overpriced.however the service tech was excellent.
