Quit working after only 2 months Cannot get anyone at the support line to answer

purchased this and it worked good for 1 week then it started asking me to turn on the camara every time i got in the car. very inconvenient to get out and open the little cover turn on the switch and then get back in the car.

Bought the camera on May 9th, completely stopped working by July.

Solar does not hold charge. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE

Installation was easy and camera works as expected. HOWEVER, a few hours after installation, the mount tilted forward because the adhesive didn’t hold. I’d cleaned the mount area beforehand too. Called AAMPGLOBAL and was told that I should’ve cleaned with rubbing alcohol even though that little detail wasn’t mentioned in the manual or the video. If that doesn’t work, they suggested that I use double-sided tape. It would’ve been SUPER useful if they included using rubbing alcohol in the manual. If double-sided tape doesn’t work, I will be returning this item.

I am happy with my purchase a month ago. After fully charging with the supplied cable before installing, it has been keeping fully charged via the solar panel in late summer weather. This is great because I would have to remove it to put the charger cable in. The manual explains charge levels and expected number of days use. It is on my 1999 Ford E-150 Van. At night the backup lights can diminish the video clarity. With the Van console, I like being able to hide the monitor in it, and just bring out and plug in when I want to use it. It is out of sight that way. The options for tilting the camera and adjusting the backup reference lines are needed to use it the way you want to. I did have to remove my license plate holder with a favorite saying on it.

Bought June 2021. December 2024, has stopped working. $200, 2.5 years of service. Not the worst.

Easy to install. Works as advertised. Nice to have a backup camera on my Nissan Z.

My wife and I love it. You need zero mechanical skills to install it, a screwdriver is all you need. If you can remove your license plate by removing the two screws, you can do this. The solar charger needs a initial three hour charge, with the included charger, before installation. So, if you’re capable of plugging in a charger one time and removing two screws, you can install this no problem.

Purchased the Wireless Back-up Camera Kit for the ease of installation for my daughters vehicle who has moved to a major city and has street parking. I charged the unit for 12 plus hours as recommended and installed it as instructed. The unit was great for about 2 months then quit charging itself so i removed it from the car and tried to manually charge it to no avail, it would no longer charge. Im in the process of bring it back so hopefully itll be easy to replace/return. Will keep you posted.

The placement of the solar panel strip covered the state name on my new mexico license plate, as well as the expiration tag. I was pulled over and given a ticket for obscuring my license plate. Had to remove the camera plate frame. Its now useless. Make sure your state name and/or expiration tag are not on the bottom. The ticket cost more than the camera.
