overall the product works ok, but I am extremely disappointed by the battery life of the sensor. the battery died after 2 months and customer support gave me an 11-step procedure to diagnose the problem (I simply asked them to stand behind their product and replace the battery). I replaced the battery and fixed the problem in 1 step. POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT...buy Nest!

I had to change batteries twice for some reason and is hard to understand settings of ecobee to set temperature. If given a chance, I would switch to Nest

Bought two of these Ecobee's. One for myself and another for my mom. Install was super easy thanks to their explicit instructions. setup after install was a breeze. so far it's been great to be able to control the temp from anywhere in or out of the house. It was a toss up between this or the Nest and I read that the nest has to cycle the house fan (run it) in order to charge its lithium battery. That wasa no go for me as I seldom run the heat or the AC, and the Electric company is already gouging me for usage. Seems pretty lame to have to run a whole house fan just to charge batteries. The Ecobee give you a power pak adapter that you run between the thermostat and control board and that powers the Ecobee without having to run anything. Two Thumbs Up!
