The Ecobee 4 thermostat is excellent for conserving energy. Their are many options when setting up to keep you comfortable and save a lot of money. The remote sensors are great to they measure temperature and occupancy, you can use up 32 of these sensors and use them to control temperature or just use them monitor,it’s up to you. It has Alexia too, so you can use voice commands adjust temperature and do most things you can do with an Eco Dot. You can also control and monitor your system and get detailed reports with your smart phone or computer.

If you don't have one of these, please get one asap

We bought this for a rental we owned. It was amazing to control the temp from my phone. I could adjust it to make guests comfortable without driving all the way there.

We had Nest in our previous home. In our new home, we decided to go with the Ecobee 4's after reading countless good reviews. The reviews were right. Incredibly easy to setup and use. Highly recommended.

I owned this in my previous home, and bought it again, when I moved. The fact is, that paired with the remote sensors (of which, I have one in the upper level, and one in the lower level), this is an awesome system, that you can setup to set your comfort levels easily, based on time of day, where you are in the house, and has excellent, and responsive, Alexa integrations. That said, I don't use mine for the built-in Alexa. I believe my standalone units do a better job, and I have a few "spots" to accommodate this, along with my Ring doorbell. I don't remember my reasoning for choosing this, over the other popular thermostats, but I have no regrets...

The Ecobee4 is my first smart thermostat. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed it. The built in Alexa is also a nice perk as well. I can control other smart devices in my own after hooking them up to Alexa.

Great way to be able to control everything from my phone no matter where I am. Was able to make heat/air more affordable. Alexa built in is awesome as well.

Awesome thermostat with alexa build in. Easy install, just be sure to label wires before removing old thermostat. Answers all kids questions, like sports scores, game times, weather and yes, it plays music.

Pros You can use multiple location sensors in conjunction with the scheduling feature to set the temperature in different rooms. For instance, I scheduled the main unit as the sensor during the day and evening so it's reading the temp in the living room, where we most likely are. But at night I set the temp using the sensor in our master bedroom, so it's the right temp where we're sleeping Acts as an input and speaker for Alexa. I haven't really used this feature since it's near where my Alexa sits, but could see it being useful if that we're not the case. Con You have to set the temp as a range of at least 2 degrees apart, which is annoying because the variance causes some consternation with my wife who doesn't like it as cool as I do. You can't just set it at a single temp and have it be set, it's most likely going to fluctuate 1 or 2 degrees from that.

The installation was very intuitive. I have had this thermostat for almost two months. The home is more comfortable. The sensors work great. The addition of Alexa within device is a major like.

So far the best smart thermostat out in the market. When I purchase this Best buy offered a $50-gift card and utility company also offered a rebate. Comes with Alexa and room sensor. Easy installation. You can download app to control temperature from anywhere.

I was a little hesitant about changing my thermostats to ecobee. However, now that I have switched, I wish I had done it sooner!!! They work much better than I could have anticipated.

Purchased this item when it came out in 2017 and I have been very pleased with the quality, options, and reliability. I can monitor and control the AC unit from my phone anywhere in the world :)

It works well. Connected easily with my iPhone through the ecobee app. I am not sure how the sensor is supposed to work but it connected with it no problem. The only difficulty I have had is getting it's amazon alexa features to sync to my echo dot.

This is by far the best purchase that I have made. Super easy to work with. Can set up schedules and built in alexa, I was able to link ADT, the front locks and camera to this system.

The Ecobee 4 is great. The room sensor makes climate control so easy. The thermostat is in one room and the sensor in another room helps average the temp for good control of all rooms.

I bought this because C|Net gave it nods over the Nest, but in retrospect, I may have preferred the Nest, as the nest is easier to control manually, whereas the Ecobee takes a lot of work to change the temperature (to be honest, I still can't figure out how to do this manually from the device). The Alexa skills also could be easier to use. As I have two Ecobees, she has trouble adjusting the temperature. I know this is not easy to program, but maybe if she could intuit "main level" and "main floor" are the same things, (or at least allow multiple names to be manually programmed into each device, and even have a "default" thermostat (so if I say, Alexa lower the temperature to 72 degrees) she would do that on the default Ecobee, rather than get all snooty with me. I like that it works with Alexa, if I were to purchase again, I'd invest in the Nest hardware rather than the Ecobee.

Love the convenience of being able to monitor the unit and control it when not at home and the ability to use Alexa makes for ease of automating room where echo is not present.

I'll start by saying I can't speak to ease of installation, we had our furnace/AC replaced and the company installed the Ecobee for us. As for the thermostat itself, we love it. The room sensors are fantastic for sliding cold or hot spots. The screen UI is easy to use, touch screen is responsive and accurate even to fast old fingers like mine. Alexa and geofence are cherries on top of a really good sundae. But really the best part is changing the thermostat or room temperatures from work or vacation. We recently left for 8 days and the cat that stayed behind causes my wife a bit of anxiety in case the AC or furnace went out. No such worries this trip.
