great product, technically and aesthetically. loved it!

This is a really nice option to add an Ecobee to a location where you don't want to spend the money on the higher end model. We have both, and while the fit and finish on the more expensive one is of course amazing, we needed a less expensive thermostat for this room and the Essential still does the job at half the price.

This is my second Ecobee setup. I went with the essentials after my Nest died, and I wanted something that supported HomeKit (Apple). It works well and does the "basic" features well, like changing the temperature from your phone. Additionally, it enables you to establish a routine and set the temperature based on your phone's presence or a pre-set schedule. If this is for an Airbnb or short-term rental, I would recommend installing a few smart sensors so it can detect when someone is home and turn on automatically. Overall, a great entry level smart Thermostat.

I prefer the 3 lite but they stopped making those and use these instead. While its still just as functional, its a tad harder to hook up if u need a cwire adapter or anything special.

Simple to install. Nice and straight forward controls. Clean design. I would recommend this Thermsotat to others.

Great smart thermostat. You will need to train it to accommodate your household. I can also get a credit from your electric company if I allow them to basically "control" the thermostat for saving purposes. Great purchase and easy set-up.

Love the app, and support team is great! This model did not come with a backplate. Seems minor but standard backplate impacted the ability to mount the digital face.

I have not yet installed it but it was recommended by the company that installed my furnace and I am looking forward to the features it says it has. the installation looks easy enough but I will try to update after. I bought it to control my mother's thermostat for her when I am not there.

Very happy while replacing our out of date Nest. The app toggles nicely between our two separate homes and in the zones for each.
