    The doorbell and camera work fine. Having some difficulty connecting the doorbell tothe ecobee thermostat.

    Installed fine but would be nice if the camera was controllable in the app. Also can not get it to connect to HomeKit

    Great doorbell, good support, and very slick app integrations. I like it, much better than the Ring, Skybell, and Google Nest Doorbells I've tried in the past. The added integration to use your Ecobee thermostat as an intercom is a nice gimmick as well

    It does not allow recording at Apple homekit.

    It does not allow to record at the Apple HomeKit It does not work as a camera. Even if you pay for iCloud to store the camera recordings, this doorbell doesn’t have the option for recording at iCloud. It forces you to pay for their cloud. I don’t recommend it.

      Thanks for your feedback. 30-day video storage, rich notifications, and package detection are included in our ecobee Smart Security subscription. Person detection, live feed, and thermostat live view are all included for free. At this time Home Kit Secure Video is not available but I am happy to let the team know you'd love to see this feature.     I really liked this doorbell, and I hated that it wasn’t compatible with my built-in chime! It provided all of the necessary notifications! If you don’t have a primechime2 door chime, this will be perfect for you!

    This is an addition to my 5 year old ecobee thermostat. I also added a couple of their cameras and sensors. I am learnings to use the ecobee home monitoring system and this fits right in.

    I was really looking forward to this since it has HomeKit compatibility. My previous camera doorbell was not compatible and this one is, My first observation is I really like the look and design of the doorbell. It is modern and sleek and fits nicely with the exterior style and colors of our home. Installation is really easy, my only issue was making sure I had the correct circuit turned off in my circuit breaker. I really wish it had its only dedicated breaker. This unit does require very specific doorbell transformers so be sure to research what you have at home before buying You will need to use the mobile app to set up the unit, which is pretty common these days with all IOT type devices. The app is good and walks you through the detailed steps to set up the device. As part of the setup you will get a 2 month free trial to the security monitoring so you can give this a full test drive and see if you want to continue that service later. You likely will need a philips head screwdriver and maye a drill. Otherwise all other parts for installation are included in the box. You can connect via 2.6 or 5.0 GHz to your home wireless. Thankfully mine main connection is right by the front door, even though my home is stucco, the signal was strong enough for the unit to connect without issue. I am really impressed with the video quality. I can see very clearly my front porch area, people are clear and it shows packages nicely too. Great job on the video. The camera show more of my porch than my previous one, it is nice seeing my entire porch now without part of it being cut off. You are getting 175 degrees vertical view and 115 degrees horizontal view. Great field of vision. I am very pleased and look forward to many years of use with this Smart Camera Doorbell.

    Worst choice in doorbell, do not buy this. I have the correct transformer, and went as far as installing a new wired access point ten feet away to improve connectivity. It takes 20 seconds for video to load when someone rings and you want to check the video feed. All video is routed from the doorbell to their servers then to your phone. This causes a huge delay. The dooorbell is not up to task to record the video while streaming it to your thermostat when someone rings. When no notification even is occurring, it takes 5-10 seconds to pull up video in app, while it takes 2 seconds in HomeKit. We have had to turn off all detection events as it falsely reported people, packages, and movements every 20 minutes all times of day. Customer service took 2 hours of troubleshooting to finally agree to replace the device and the replacement also has nearly the same issues

    Works well with homekit and if you have ecobee thermostats (a certain version) a ring at the door will have video feed to the ecobee thermostats. Resolution is good but could be better.

    I replaced another smart doorbell with the Ecobee doorbell and also replaced my thermostat with the Ecobee thermostat I really like how they interfaced with each other

    This doorbell is a Game Changer! I have tried several brands and this one takes it over the top with automatic zoom and pan and tilt. Those are most certainly welcomed features!

    Easy install, works with original mechanical chime, also rings phone and HomePod. Obviously integrates with existing Ecobee thermostats. Best option available imho.

    Love my Ecobee Premium Thermostats and desperately wanted this Doorbell Camera to work out. The doorbell would not stay connected to my network (a very robust network with multiple WAPs and all fiber 1.0 gig speed) on either 2.4 or 5ghz bands. Tried trouble shooting for a week and it just doesn't seem to have the bugs worked out and I returned it and went with another Ring doorbell. Zero issues with the new Ring.

    Doorbell was great until it lost connection. In order to restart because it is hard wired you must cut the breaker. This is super inconvenient. I have only had it 2weeks and it has already lost connection.

      ecobee recommends a minimum upload bandwidth of 2 Mbps and a constant Wi-Fi connection. This will help ensure the best experience when using the Smart Doorbell Camera (wired) to record events and videos, take snapshots, use Two-Way Talk, and stream the live feed. ecobee
