I have this new vacuum. It sounds like it cleans well, but the instructions are crazy. Bad it gives you how to put it together and you get to the point where you know that you push what button for start cleaning and how to pause there is nothing about how to use it as a mop and I’m even online with the customer service person. She apologize that there isn’t more information and material. She says it’s a new product This is creating

Powerful Robot Vac With A Learning Curve

Ecovacs N30 Pro Omni is a great smart robot vac for all types of homes. There are some ups and downs but in the end, I love mine. Powerful cleaning, decent mopping and an excellent app with many features make me give the N30 high marks. This was really easy to set up right out of the box. It was practically all assembled. Everything was there and everything seems to work just fine. Included is the vac, base station, power cord, a very disappointing instruction manual and the mop heads. All you really need to do is add water for the mopping function. We did order the cleaning solution to add to the water to make mopping more effective. Also download the Ecovac App asap for setup/mapping. I mapped and vacuumed/mopped my whole house so far. Before starting, I moved everything that was movable out of the way (ottomans, a painter's easel and the dog's food and step stools). Using the app, I let it map my house and it did a really good job. It was super easy to use the combined and divide to make sure the rooms were correct. It got most of the house right but we have some sections that are tile and some sections are wood and we want them to be mopped at different frequencies so we had to play around with it to get the lines in the right spot. The mapping is actually really cool. I like that you can name each room and give it a different icon. Like a little kid's face for the kids room or a picture of a bed for the bedroom. It's cool that they are different colors and now I have a floor plan of my house (minus 3 rooms I didn't map). We have a 2,800 ft² house and we didn't map to three of the rooms or any closets. So I would say we mapped about 2, 300 ft². It was able to vacuum the entire house on one battery charge. It did have to go back to the base to empty the dustbin (more on this later). I think my favorite part is the do not enter/do not mop zones. Our old robot would constantly knock over the dog's water and food. Now I can leave the dog's food in the same spot and put it do not enter zone around it and it will not get knocked over and I can feed the dog and vacuum at the same time. I also use the do not mop zone around a piano that we have. Because I don't want any moisture to touch it. So that allows it to vacuum around the piano but not mop. You can see in the pictures how it mapped my house and where we put the do not go to areas (in red). Cleaning logs are really useful. It will tell you what size area it cleaned, how many minutes it took to clean it and it will show you a map of exactly where it cleaned. You can see on the map the little circles how it went around the table legs. You can also see on the map where the dog was standing in front of it and it went around her. The only thing I don't like about the cleaning logs is that for some reason they're stuck in meters, but the display on the main screen is in feet. I wish it would just be all the same, feet or meters. So far no issues with the vacuuming and the mapping. It goes around obstacles really easy and doesn't suck up a random toy. I didn't have to tell it where the carpet was. When it mapped it didn't put the carpet on there, but when it did the first vacuum it mapped all the carpets. I like that you can set it to do one or two passes. I'm still trying to get the hang of the mopping. I did not have any issues the first couple times I mopped small rooms. It worked fine and got the floors clean. It did not get things that were stuck on though, like there was a blueberry that got stuck on the dining room floor that was hiding under the table and it did not get that all the way off. I would say it's great for light duty mopping only. Caked on dirt or debris still needs your elbow grease. Tip for mopping - Do NOT cancel while it is mopping and have it go vacuum or do something else. It WANTS to go back to the station and spend 2 hours drying the mop heads. For instance, I told it to go mop the hallway wood floors and then cancelled while it was on it's way and decided to vacuum instead. Then when I tried to mop, it kept saying the mop heads were wet and needed to do the 2 hour drying?? After checking, the heads were dry as a bone and no water anywhere. I either did something wrong or maybe there is a bug in the programming? After letting it "dry" itself for the 2 hours, it went on mopping like nothing was wrong. Waste of 2 hours, but that was the workaround I had to do to get it to continue. Another tip I want to throw out there is the vacuuming. It's amazing if you know what to expect. They advertise (no tangle roller) the brush heads will not clutter and get hair stuck (look at the pic), it totally does. Just be prepared for routine maintenance. The thing I want to say to make sure no one goes through what I did was change the setting from Auto Empty to Empty as Needed ASAP!! I thought the vac was struggling after a cleaning until I checked and found it clogged so it could not empty itself. If you keep it on Auto Empty, it'll wait to empty until the cleaning is complete as Empty as Needed will sense if it's almost full and go empty itself and then continue where it left off. I gave it 4 stars because since it is very new, I hope they can have better clarification on the mopping feature as the instruction manual is useless (it says NOTHING on it) or give it a firmware update to fix it. Also the rollers do get clogged even though they advertised as no tangle and in my personal opinion, Empty As Needed should be the default setting, not Auto Empty. Other than that, the Ecovac is still an amazing robot vac that performs superbly. It will get my recommendation.

Object detection needs work but vacuum is quieter

The Ecovacs N30 Pro Omni is a robot vacuum with a mop pads. It does wet your floors but it uses the mop heads to help clean the floors. It also has a spinning brush on the corner. The configuration was a bit tricky at first. There is an audio that plays to help you set up and tells you the status of the vacuum. One instruction says to scan the QR code. If you don’t look at the instruction manual, you may be spending time looking for it. It is on the top of the vacuum under a flap cover. You will need to download the app as well and create an account. This part was fairly easy. Where it gets tricky is connecting to the vacuum via wifi. The vacuum has its own wifi antenna. The app sees the vacuum’s wifi and fails to connect. I tried a handful of times. But you can connect manually and it finally connected. The next issue was it detecting a new firmware patch. It kept failing to download. I had to delete and reconnect the vacuum with the app and finally it successfully downloaded and installed the update. Even with this small issue, it is great that it checks for the version before letting you start using it. The app is easy to use. You can map the room you are in or just vacuum and it will map as it vacuums. There is a round sensor on top of the vacuum that maps the room and tracks the path it takes. As it leaves the dock, it tried to go around the dock area. My previous robot vacuum leaves the dock area before it starts to vacuum. I feel this wastes time as it maneuvers around the dock. The vacuum itself is quieter than my previous one. I started in the bedroom. It went under the bed and we have cables there. It got stuck. My other robot vacuum detects these and will avoid it. This vacuum tries to run over it. You really have to clear the floor in areas you want it to vacuum. After docking back, you are given an option to clean the mop pads. There are two water reservoirs. One for clean water and one for dirty water. You will need to use a cleaning solution and if you want to use one from Ecovacs, they cost about $28 for a 35 fl oz. This is not included, not even a sample. Overall, I like it because it is quieter than my previous robot vacuum. The app is user friendly. So far, my only complaint in terms of using it is object detection like cables on the floor. You really have to clear the floor. In that case, you may just want to sweep as you are clearing the floor.

The N30 Pro Omni is my first robotic floor vacuum and mopping unit. I have never felt the necessity of owning one and thought that it would be a poor investment given I have a German Shepherd who sheds an obscene amount. But I saw the Omni Pro and figured I would give it a shot being a premium tier automated vacuum. The build quality of the N30 is decent on the surface. The robot itself seems solid, not too light, not too heavy, has a suspension on it, an easy to use access bay to remove the dust bin and floor brush. The battery life on this is very good. It was able to vacuum my entire house on a single charge with 40% remaining, and thats no small feat considering that was about 2000sq ft. That said, while operating my unit was very noisey. It picks up little objects very easily that get trapped within the brush and it will make a racket the entire time its running. The base itself is pretty basic, with plastic pieces easily snapping together. There is almost no weight to the base station so its easy to knock over from the side from an inadvertent bump from my dog. The software for the N30 Pro is decent. It has a great user interface that is easy to navigate. When you first use the N30 it will map out your house and draw a picture. It automatically breaks down the house into multiple rooms which you can rename to your liking. You can also add areas to avoid as well. When there is an issue with the vacuum in operation, it will give you a notification so you can fix it. Now, in actual use is where the N30 falls apart. On the initial cleaning of just my living room area, it clogged up on dog hair 3 times. I expected this, but what it didn't do was notify me or stop, it just kept going. So I had to monitor it in order to make sure it was still vacuuming. For some reason it also tells you that if you pause it for more than 60 seconds it cancels its operation, which I find really inconvenient for trying to empty the dust bin in it. That said, it never cancelled the clean, so I don't know what that warning was about. Also on that first clean, it stopped and kept running in the same spot. I would have to pause it in the app and resume it for it to start going again. This happened multiple times. Again, without any kind of warning to let me know it was happening. The app doesn't work unless you're on the same network, and it doesn't give you any indication of that either. I attempted to start the vacuum from work, and the app responded, but the vacuum never started. So if you're going to use away from home, you need to use the built in schedule cleaning function in order to get it to work. I don't know if it will send notifications if you are away. Finally, and the biggest deal breaker for me on this is the "Solid Floor Cleaner" solution for this. In the instructions it specifies this requires a Solid Floor Cleaner and that its sold separately (none included with it). The problem with that is, they aren't selling it yet. I haven't tried to simply mix cleaner in with the clean water as it says specifically to follow the instructions in the book and I don't want to break this using it improperly. So as it stands today, the mop function on this is simply a warm water solution and nothing else. I haven't ran the mop function on it yet as that seems like a waste. I'll just wait for the cleaning solution to become available. I just find it a little misleading to sell a vacuum/mop combo that you can't actually use yet, and there is no date of availability either. All in all, I find that this is a very expensive product that should feel premium in comparison to others, but in the end you get buggy software and missing features.

    Superior Product To Its Competitor

INTRODUCTION The Ecovacs N30 takes the traditional robot vacuum and adds an excellent mopping option to hard floor surfaces. A newly redesigned mopping and vacuuming system comes within 1mm (about 0.04 in) of edges and corners for a more thorough clean and addressing one of the shortcomings of Ecovacs’ older generation of vacuums. SET-UP I give Ecovacs credit for continually refining their app. It has come a long way since I received my first T20. Initial machine set-up and account creation couldn’t be much easier. The app has useful links and instructions walking the new buyer through the entire set-up process. I chose to use the printed directions for assembly and machine set-up, but there are many, well-made videos that can guide you through the same process, should you so choose. Honestly, after having used the printed materials, I would wholeheartedly recommend using the Ecovacs app, as it is more concise and comprehensive without the errors associated in the printed instructions. The only hurdle I faced with set-up is Ecovacs’ own hard floor cleaner. It is a separate purchase and not included with the vac. That is the major problem. The printed directions are unclear and vague when it comes to using the hard floor cleaner. Printed directions reference the product, but do not spell out its actual purpose, how to use it, or how to obtain the product. To make matters worse, I could not find the product on the Ecovacs’ website for purchase. The only product available for purchase is the concentrated floor cleaner & I’m guessing that is Ecovacs’ plan for the N30, though the printed materials say differently. This is a fail on Ecovacs’ part. FIRST USE The best part about the Ecovacs N30 is its 3D mapping technology. Using a combination of lasers and LIDAR, it quickly makes an accurate map of its cleaning space. My modest 2000 square foot home was mapped within about 10 minutes. The vacuum travels around the house on its first power up, scanning all areas. Its laser designator is quite precise and easily identifies open doors and hallways from across the room. Once the Ecovac completes its mapping scan, it returns to its dock for charging and the app takes over. While it wasn’t initially intuitive on how to save the data and map layout, with a little fiddling, you can figure it out without too much drama. Once saved, the Ecovacs’ app allows you to name each room or area in your house. I find that it works pretty well, but not perfect. I still haven’t figured out how to edit the map manually, as some areas were grouped together as one when they should have been broken apart. CLEANING The Ecovacs app does a fantastic job at making cleaning tasks easy to use. The Ecovacs app breaks the entire process down into just a few steps. 1. Pick a room, rooms, or areas you want cleaned and highlight them on the map with a simple touch. 2. Scroll down and select what you want the N30 to do (Vac, Mop, Vac then Mop, or Vac and Mop). During this time the app allows you to adjust the thoroughness of the cleaning too. You can pick a quick clean, standard, or thorough, the suction power of the vacuum, the wetness of the cleaning pads (if mopping) and even the amount of time the vacuum cleans before coming back to rinse off the pads and get fresh water. Each setting changes the amount of time the vacuum spends on each area. It works great and makes a noticeable difference in cleaning. The app is very easy to use and with so many available options, makes a difficult process extremely easy to master. Even my older, less tech savvy, family members navigated the app with little to no training. That says a lot. NEGATIVES When setting up a product, I pretend like I have never set-up something like it before or have no experience with products from the manufacturer. Because of this, I must give the Ecovacs’ printed documentation a negative endorsement. Everything was smooth until a buyer gets to the cleaning solution set-up. The printed material appears wrong and out of date. There is no solid cleaning product available. The N30 relies on mixing the Ecovacs’ cleaning solution with clean water just like their older products, but it is not noted in any of the printed literature. The N30 fits the bill of having too much “junk in the trunk”. The mopping mechanisms are very heavy on the back of the vacuum and make it difficult for it to navigate area rugs. The N30 struggles with all but the shortest naps on area rugs. Something that Ecovacs’ primary competitor does much better. I have had limited success getting the “whole home” voice features to work. I guess this is an improvement because I have had ZERO success getting them to work with the T20. If buying, expect to use the app. It is easier. Lastly, while the app is easy to use for day-to-day chores, it is cumbersome during initial set-up. Like I mentioned earlier, the N30 navigated all areas of my home. When confront with bedrooms directly off a hallway, the app labeled the hallway and ½ the bedroom as 1 area, and the far side of the bedroom as a separate area. I would like to see the area map easier to break areas apart and combine them. PROS The new “Zero Tangle” brush and comb work excellently. Even after repeated cleanings, I have nearly no human or pet hair tangled in the rollers. The N30 is markedly quieter than my current vacuum-only product from Ecovacs’ primary competitor. During all aspects of the cleaning process, from traveling to its destination, to vacuuming, to emptying the dust bin the N30 is significantly easier on the ears and not nearly as intrusive as my current robot vacuum from the OG manufacturer. This is even with significantly more suction power. The new cleaning algorithm works slick! Compared to my prior generation T20, the new N30 has moved the mops closer to the edge of the vacuum getting them more out in the open. When the N30 reaches an edge or corner, it pivots the vacuum so the mops can get up against the edge or into the corner. Something the prior generation doesn't do. It’s slick, simple and works great! The Ecovacs mapping and obstacle avoidance technology is 2nd to none. Far superior to Ecovacs’ primary competitor. The competition only remembers where to go based on prior cleaning. Put something like a pet toy or pair of shoes in the way, it has no idea it is there until it runs into it. Not the N30. The N30 continuously scans the path ahead and can identify obstacles prior to hitting them and getting the obstacle stuck and wrapped up in the brush rolls. Ask me how I know. The Ecovacs’ implementation is FAR superior to the competition. FINAL THOUGHTS Here’s what it all boils down to: Would I buy an Ecovacs N30 or would I go to the competition that has been in the business longer? I would pick the N30, hands down, over the O.G. The N30 is a superior product. It does a better job vacuuming, it can mop and clean up messes, and its mapping and obstacle avoidance technology is far superior. As I sit here typing this, I’m watching my O.G. brand (which is at a similar price point but has less than half the features of the N30) product sweep the floor now. Compared to having just watched my N30 do the same job, it is a big difference. The N30’s grace and performance seems like it is several generations newer than the competition, when in reality, it is the competition resting on its laurels and brand recognition. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had the chance to use the DEEBOT N30 Pro Omni for over a week now and i did it thoroughly on the cleaning performance side as well on its connectivity and ease of software use. Keeping in mind that this mop/vacuum cleaner it is Ecovacs's entry level cleaning robot, which by the way comes at a very good price for it's capabilities, i believe it is an excellent purchase than can really make a difference in helping with keeping the floors clean. -It looks like will be a lot to wrap your head around in the beginning but it really is super simple to setup. I did downloaded the app, ensemble the station and everything else worked flawlessly making a great first impression. -I found it very quiet in its cleaning process with great suction power being able to tackle hardwoods/carpet and any dirt found in its way and did it very well. The transition from moping to vacuuming it was smooth and i was very pleased with its consistency in cleaning every spot and corner of the room. -The N30 Omni Pro comes jam packed with sensors and up to date technology that makes it simply amazing to watch doing its job. -It is fast, quiet, powerful and seems to always connect with ease and finish all the jobs i send it to without any hiccups. I really much enjoy it and it currently has replaced any other source of cleaning on my main floor where i have half hardwood and half carpet, and i'm really confident in it's capabilities it is an amazing piece of technology that works well!

The Ecovacs N30 Pro Omni would be a great addition to any household to help ease some of the burden of the cleaning. This powerful machine can help with vacuuming and mopping your floor while you knock out other tasks at hand or even sit back and relax and let this robot vac and mop work for you. Well let’s go over what the new Ecovacs N30 Pro Omni has to offer. Specifications: 21.3 Height 19.1 Length 13.4 Width 25.6 Pounds 10,000 Pa Suction Power Setup: Setting up the Ecovacs is pretty simple. You have to put a few pieces together, fill the clean water tank, download the Ecovacs app and let the app guide you with the setup. Once that is complete and the robot is charged up, you can start the quick mapping process which takes about 5 minutes to map out the entire floor. The base has your clean and dirty water tanks, which are very easy to remove and put back, and the self-emptying dust bag. I would highly recommend downloading the app because there are tons of features and option you can take advantage of such as the setting up a schedule, cleaning modes, suction power, water flow rate, cleaning speed, edge cleaning and so much more. Vacuuming performance: The N30 Pro Omni has a powerful suction of 10,000Pa, which is more than enough to pick up dust, dirt, and pet hair from all types of surfaces. It also has a variety of cleaning modes to choose from, including standard, deep clean, and edge cleaning. In my tests, the N30 Pro Omni did an excellent job of vacuuming up all types of debris, even from high-traffic areas and once the cleaning was completed the robot emptied out its bin and was ready to go for next time. One feature that stood out to me was the no tangle roller. With 3 women in the house, I must clear out the rollers at least once a week of my other robot vacuum cleaners and I have been using this robo vac for about a about a week now and I have yet to find any hair in the rollers, one less thing for me to do. Mopping performance: The N30 Omni's mopping performance is also impressive. It uses two spinning mop pads that are cleaned with hot water at the docking station at the interval of your choosing. The robot did a great job cleaning up daily messes, such as spills, removing stains and dirty shoe prints off the floor. The mop pad also extends out to make sure the edges are cleaned. This helps to remove tough stains and grime, leaving you with clean and sanitized mop pads. The N30 Omni also has an auto-lift mopping system that lifts the mop pads when it detects carpet, so you don't have to worry about your carpets getting wet or a dirty mop pad being dragged across. Once all the cleaning is completed, the mop pads are dried at the dock and ready to go for the next run. Battery Life: 5200 mAh battery for up to 320 minutes of vacuuming and 220 minutes of combined vacuuming and mopping. The robot has been able to clean my 800 sq ft. floor on a single charge but did return to the station to clean the mop pads in between. Pros: • Powerful suction • Excellent mopping performance / Auto-Lifting System • Love the edge cleaning • No tangle roller • Self-emptying dustbin • Hot air-drying system • Precise Navigation • Great Battery Life • Removable cleaning tray Cons: • Got stuck a few times with cords on the floor, so be sure to move the cords out the way before use. Overall, the N20 Pro OMNI is a great choice for a robot vacuum and mop that offers excellent cleaning performance. It offers tons of features and options that make cleaning your home a breeze. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable smart vacuum and mop combo.

Five features that standout in this unit are its efficiency to do what it does best, sweep, vacuum and mop. The well-designed app, that allows me to set up, configure, schedule, tune, almost everything you may have in mind. How quickly the job is completed. Its effectiveness on saving water and the efficacy of its cleaning capsule product. My wife is extremely picky when it comes about cleaning the house. For a long time, she refused to trust on any robot-cleaner, she thought that nothing can do better than she does when it comes to sweeping or moping. And we have a Golden Retriever and cleaning became more and more extensive and time consuming. But she decided to try the Deebot unit, and we are all very pleased with the results. The Deebot has saved us time, effort, and the floor looks clean and shiny, happy wife, happy life, and did I mention that this robot even cleans itself! Sometimes one is afraid to use these new devices because they think they are difficult to operate, or understand how to configure them, but the truth is that the Deebot turned out to be very easy to configure and start up. First, I would strongly recommend installing the Ecovacs Home app. Then, click the icon on the top left corner of the app, it is a scanner tool, where you scan the QR code located on the top of the robot, you will have to open the top cover to see it. Another way to setup is by selecting the robot you have on a list that will show you the app. Once you do that you just follow the voice instructions, set up your wifi settings, as a note you will need in the process to connect via wifi to the unit first, give it your login wifi credentials, and continue to finish your home wifi connection. It may ask you to update the firmware. Make sure to take out all the blue packaging plastics protectors. I counted 12 of them total, either on the docking base and the robot. The assembly is very straight forward, starting by the Docking base, attach the tray to the docking base, and there are 2 tanks, one for the clean water, and another for the dirty water. Before you attach both tanks, you will see a round cover lid on the right where you can install a capsule. This is the concentrated cleaner solution from Ecovacs, called “Solid Floor Cleaner”. The package has 6 capsules and they last one month each, or when the capsuleblue color starts draining. That means a supply for 6 months. This cleaner solution is not only very affordable for the price, but it is very efficient as well. I tested the robot for two days moping the floor with this cleaner product, and the floor really looks and smell clean. It is sold separately on the Ecovacs web site as “Solid Floor Cleaner for N30 Family” and its worths every penny. On the front of the Docking Base there is a compartment for the dust collection bag. And there is a light indicator to tell you the status of the different functions that the robot will be performing, like Self Cleaning, Malfunction, Sleep mode, etc. However, if you have the app, this will keep you very well informed with everything that is going on. The Clean Water Tank will fill with around 3 Liters. I have used the unit an entire week, and only half tank of water has been consumed. You have to keep in mind, that it is only using the water while cleaning the mops. The Robot assembly is simple and quick, just make sure to get rid first the protective blue plastics, attach the 2 mopping pads and the brush. Place the robot on the Docking Station and once you finish the set up with the app, you are ready to go. Now, lets talk about the app. I cannot think on any feature that has been missed. You can set up the cleaning mode for Vacuum only, or mop only, or both. For me this is a very useful feature. Because on the schedule you can set certain days to vacuum and other days for mop. Another feature that I found interesting is that you can set the unit to lift the mops while working on carpets, and just perform vacuum, and the suction power for carpet. Or if you prefer you can just skip the carpet. The app will send notifications when it need maintenance, like change the bag that collect dust, to fill the clean water tank, to empty the dirty water tank, or when it is a malfunction. It will show you a report or log when it starts or finish the jodb I am not planning to get into the technical features for this review, all the details about the technology are well described in the specs. I will be focusing on what I can see by using the unit and the app. The 3D mapping technology is nice and shows you a very accurate view of every single inch that the robot is covering. The first time it will map the whole area and will take about 20 min. You can name the areas and select the areas you want to clean. From time to time the robot will return to the unit, either to clean the mopping pads, perform a dust suction, or water recharge. In my case I noticed that it did this process around 9 times during the cleaning. And the whole process took around 90 min. I have around 1800 sq ft downstairs between the living room, the kitchen, the dining room, the visitor’s bathroom and a small reception area. The mapping and obstacle avoidance technology works great! I was concerned about the shoes or sandals that are always left at the entrance, or pet toys that my dog is always dropping off in different places, but the robot can identify and avoid them effectively. And sometimes I tested the robot while we were in the area, either watching the news or eating. And the robot was very successful avoiding the obstacles and it was really quiet as well. However, something that I strongly recommend is to keep the cables like the ones for the floor standing lamps close to the wall or wrapped so the robot will not get tangled and trapped by them. The app is extremely intuitive and easy to understand. Once you are familiarized with it you will find it very entertaining and pleased to configure it. The robot is very quiet while vacuuming, and while watching it mop in action you can tell why it is so effective covering almost every single inch of the area. The Deebot technology allows for the movement of the mops to cover as much as possible of the floor area and to reach the most difficult floor section and corners. Very clever feature and very effective when you watch it in action. I must admit that I am very impressed, and relieved, because I can see not only how clean my floor looks, but all the work and time this little fella is saving for me. The use of resources like the water or cleaning solution is another plus that I really appreciate. Ecovacs has built a very well thought out robot cleaner that does a great job!

When my new ECOVACS Robotics - N30 PRO OMNI Robot Vacuum & Spinning Mop arrived, I couldn't wait to see what it could do. I have other robotic vacuums from other brands, but this was my first vacuum and mop combo and my first from ECOVACS, a company that I had heard good things about. I unpacked the Robot and Station and sat down to read the Instruction Manual. I followed the directions the best I could with the limited wall space we have in our townhouse and placed the base against a wall with what should be the proper clearance in front and on either side. I did the quick assembly to place the included Mop Washing Tray in the front of the base and the included Side Brush onto the Robot . I then placed the Robot into the Station while lining up the Charging Contacts on the Robot to those in the Station. I plugged in the power cord and flipped the Power Switch on the back of the Station to On to allow the Robot to charge. I left it to charge overnight. The next day, following directions, I proceeded to scan the QR Code that is under the top cover of the Robot and downloaded the ECOVACS HOME Application onto my phone. I started setup and almost immediately ran into my first major problem. The N30 PRO OMNI requires an Internet connections that supports a 2.4GHz transmission. Mine only does 5.0GHz, unless I want to slow my whole network down to 2.4GHz. That won't do, since all the rest of the devices in my house run fine on 5.0GHz. I had to abandon the setup until I could come up with a solution. I found one of my old routers and jerry-rigged it as a node on my main router and was able to get 2.4GHz transmission without totally compromising my main network. It allowed me to go back to setup and get through it successfully, but in this day and age it is my opinion that new devices should support the latest and greatest protocols. Through the ECOVACS HOME app, I proceeded to instruct the Robot to do the initial mapping of the first floor of my house. This is after I made sure that all my cables, shoes, and oriental carpet tassels were off the floor or tucked away. I also made sure that the door to downstairs was closed and the door to the small guest bathroom was shut to prevent entry. The Robot was off and mapping. I was impressed by how well it navigated without bumping into furnitures or walls. It has a laser that it bounces off of objects and walls to determine distance and create a map of the area. It is really impressive. But when the Robot was done and the app and the Robot announced that the mapping was complete, I ran into the second real issue. The Robot was supposed to return to the Station. It headed back in the Station's direction and actually sat right in front of it, but never entered. It sat for a few moments and spun its Side Brush, then took off into another direction. I let it go for a while to see what would happen and it went all around the house again, then finally stopped. The Robot announced that it could not find the Station's signal and instructed me to place the Robot in front of the Station and to press the Home button on the top of the Robot. I did this and it still could not find its way to return to the Station. It again hesitated and then took off in another direction again. After a couple of iterations of the same scenario, and after turning the Station off and on, unplugging and replugging in the Station, replacing the Robot back into the Station to charge and trying again, it still was lost in space on the way back to the Station. I erased the map in the app and then deleted the application and reinstalled it. I totally resetup the N30 PRO two more times and even moved the Station to another area and did it again. Nothing worked to resolve this lost little Robot's problem. Until I can figure out what is causing this issue, I cannot recommend this ECOVACS Robotics - N30 PRO OMNI. Darn, I had much higher hopes for it.

Ecovacs has come a long way since its older models. My initial model that I used has minimum suction and not mopping capability. This model has come a long way. The 2 primary reasons on why I enjoy this model vs other models is due to its corner control and its ease of use/cleaning. Firstly, some robot vacuums simply map out your home and follow the corners, there is not adaptive texture mapping, real-time object maneuvering or scheduled cleaning capabilities. The N30 Pro Omni does all of the above. The in-app mapping is broken down by texture, meaning if one room on the floor is carpeted and the rest is hardwood/tile, the app can distinguish and alter cleaning treatment. This was a nice touch as my previous only blue-printed out the floor and not alter how the surface was cleaned. The app can also schedule cleaning/emptying which is nice. Another neat feature is the Tru Edge mopping system. This technology is setting the bar high in terms of how close the cleaner can get to the corners and walls, there is no more wondering if that hard-to-get corner has been cleaned. Lastly, maintenance has always been a challenge. The cleaning components "under the hood" often get tangled with hair, dust or debris. This model has an anti-tangle feature that auto lifts mop heads to reduce the chance of a snag. Cleaning has never been easier either. The wet and dry compartments are clearly spelled out and displayed to assure there are no unanswered questions on how to empty the dust bin or dirty water containers. All in all, if you are looking for a robot vacuum that has increased corner/wall precision control and reduced tangle potential then this is the model for you. Pairing this performance with a user friendly app assure for satisfaction!

Overall, I'm happy. This is my first mopping vavuum, and fourth robot vacuum. This a lot better than the $400ish shark it replaced. The first one i got wouldn't charge and had to be exchanged. The second one worked well. It cleans the floors very well. It returns about 1/3 of the dirty water, and the other 2/3 evaporates, which feels about right. It has gotten stuck on bath mats that its pushed over, cat toys, and under two pieces of furniture. Thats the main complaint. But the outcomes of the floor cleaning is very good.

1st n30 pro omni made a faint buzzing sound from the starion all the time and also started leaking water from the clean water reservoir. Returned to bestbuy and thet swapped with a new one and so far that is working great. Obstacle avoidance is very good for mid price robot, even passed the fake pet waste test. Mapped great but will advise after mappping to run full vacuum only of the entire house before you tweak your nap or it will change after 1st cleaning. Once thats done go ahead and name, combine, divide, add no go zones or whatever then backup map and do a map restore the ln tou should be good. Wosh the robot had an onboard water tank but for the price this does a great job both vacuuming and mopping. Not for mopping up big messes so yoh have to do alittle work yourself yet.

By far the smartest most efficient robot vacuum I have ever purchased! This is my fourth brand to purchase and so far I’m in love! Mapped the house quickly and gets in and out of rooms leaving them super clean! Best purchase! Only downfall was I had to purchase specific cleaner not sold in stores… curious what other cleaners would be recommended that I can purchase in the store.

I purchased this on sale with some reserve but the reviews were mainly positive. First off, the mopping feature is great although Ecovacs doesn’t even provide a sample of their solid floor cleaner which was odd and disappointing. Secondly, this vacuum cannot handle a low pyle rug in one of our rooms and we have all solid surface flooring with a couple of rugs. It stops and starts constantly on the rug which is a light grey color. Thirdly, it goes in circles on our entry way rug which doesn’t have any dark colors in it to trip the edge sensors. I plan to return it and try another brand. Kudos to customer support who answer the phone within two rings!

I have used several robot vacuums over the years, and I am a big fan of them. Robot vacuums help you not just clean but incentivize you to keep the house organized enough that they can function to their full potential. They can be a real game changer for your cleaning routine, or an added pain because they keep messing up. I’ve had a mostly good experience with the N30 Pro Omni. Setup: Setting up was very similar to other robot vacs I’ve used in the past. You use an app to create a map of your house and then its broken down into rooms so you can instruct the vacuum to clean specific rooms if you want. The app will also notify you if an issue occurs while vacuuming and you can even add areas to avoid. For example, after a week of use I know the vacuum gets tripped up bad around my dining table. So, I drew an area on the map to avoid my dining table. The vac and docking station were super simple to physically set up. Cleaning/Use: The cleaning with this robot vac is basically the best I’ve ever seen. The combination of vacuuming plus mopping is very effective and Ecovacs implemented this very well. The only weakness I can say I noticed is that it clogs frequently with pet hair. We have a white dog that sheds a solid amount and every now and then the vacuum would clog and I would have to go remove the hair. This is the case with most robot vacuums, but Ecovacs is marketing it as pet hair capable. If you are banking on this being a pet hair sucking machine without hiccups then you will be dissatisfied with the performance. However, if you have a pet with very mild shedding or no pet at all, then I think you will love it. Outside of pet hair problems, its produced very good results. Keep in mind that no robot vacuum can replace a deep cleaning that a person with attention to detail could produce. What this vacuum can do is keep the floors maintained for significantly longer between deep cleans. The fact it has a mop function just makes it even more effective at keeping your floors clean longer. The docking station was good too. It sucks out the dirt into its holding chamber which you can then easily empty separately. The dock then also cleans the brushes and even dries them, pretty cool. Conclusion: If you aren’t banking on this vacuum being a pet hair cleaning machine, then I think you will be very happy with this machine. The app is simple and straightforward with minor hiccups like pretty much every robot vac I’ve ever used. The docking station does a good job of keeping the vacuum functioning well. The cleaning function has been the best I’ve seen so far in a robot vacuum, and the object detection has been just as good as most others in its class. I think you will be very happy with this vacuum!

When I first got the N30 Pro home, I was excited to see what it could do. This is my first robotic vacuum I've owned. The package included the vacuum unit, a robust auto-cleaning station, mop pads, a water tank, a dustbin, a cleaning brush, and a quick start guide. Setup was straightforward, with clear instructions guiding the initial steps, including connecting to the ECOVACS app. Within minutes, the vacuum was ready to go. Mapping the house was a seamless process. At 1,900 sqft, my home has a mix of open spaces and furniture obstacles, and the N30 PRO navigated it effectively. I did have to move some stray objects out of its path to ensure an accurate map. Impressively, it completed the mapping of the entire home on a single charge. The map appeared on the app, providing options to set zones like “Do Not Enter” and “Do Not Mop.” I designated my computer area as a restricted mopping zone to prevent water mishaps, and the robot adhered perfectly. The vacuuming performance is top-notch. It effectively picked up dust, pet hair, and crumbs from both hardwood floors and carpets, leaving surfaces noticeably clean. The mopping feature, while convenient, is best suited for light cleaning rather than tackling tough stains. The spinning mop pads do a decent job of maintaining a clean look but aren't a substitute for deep scrubbing. The cleaning logs in the app are a helpful addition, providing detailed reports on completed tasks, runtime, and areas covered. This level of transparency ensures I can monitor its efficiency and reassign it to specific areas if needed. In conclusion, the ECOVACS Robotics N30 PRO OMNI is an excellent choice for maintaining a tidy home with minimal effort. Its smart mapping, effective vacuuming, and user-friendly app integration make it a strong contender in the robot cleaning space. While the mopping feature is best for light maintenance, the overall functionality and convenience it brings to daily cleaning routines are impressive.

It's an alright product. Setup was fairly straightforward. I just had to download an app, scan the QR code on the vacuum, and then it was connected. Assembling the docking station was also easy. The amount of plastic wrap on it was kind of annoying; I had to open up the vacuum and the docking station to peel away at plastic inside. Once I got past setup though, I had some minor problems. I would turn on the auto clean function and it would start cleaning and mapping at the same time. Instead of mapping out the floor, however, it would clean for a little bit and then go back to the station, saying that the mapping failed. I then realized that there was a separate mapping function. After I ran one session of that, the entire floor was mapped. I think this could've been streamlined to allow it to map while cleaning. It does often get stuck in places it shouldn't. I have a couch and a small coffee table next to it. Every time it goes there, it always turns to the table, then to the couch, then turns 270 degrees back to the table. I have to physically move it past the couch. I think there should also be a remote control feature. I don't like how it has to clean an entire room; I'd rather also have the option to physically clean. Overall, it's an alright vacuum but has a lot of small problems, especially for the price.

The Ecovacs N30 pro omni robot vacuum and spinning mop does a great job at keeping all of your floors clean. The vacuum comes packaged nicely and has quite a bit of with to it. Once you remove the vacuum and the base from the box make sure that you remove all of the packing material and stickers from the vacuum and base. Once the base is plugged in you can begin the setup process in the ecovacs app. It would be great if a better quick set up guide is included in the box as it can get a little confusing. There is a QR code located under a cover on the top of the vacuum. The instruction manual as well as the app mention a solid floor cleaner that is supposed to go in a special chamber in the tank however it seems as this does not exist. The only thing that comes up on the ecovacs website is a a bottle of a liquid cleaning solution that can be added to the clean water tank. The initial mapping process is fairly quick as it runs through the process in under 10 minutes while creating a map. Once the maps is created you can name the rooms and create areas that you don't want the vacuum to go. You can either have vacuum, vacuum alone, mop alone or do both. The vacuum does a great job picking up dirt as well as mopping up surface dirt with its spinning mop pads. The pads getting cleaned and dried at the mopping station as well. It would have been great to offer a sample of the cleaning solution because it's not like you can just run to the store and pick up a bottle. I also wish the app had a little explanation on the difference between the modes.

    Great Machine Work Remarkably Well

The ECOVACS Robotics - N30 PRO OMNI Robot Vacuum is really remarkable when it comes to mopping. The mopping feature is probably my favorite feature, the vacuuming feature is okay, but not the greatest, but what it does not do with vacuuming it more than makes up for with the mopping feature. This is the third robot vacuum I have used and this one by far has the other two beat on mopping. Let's start with the unboxing, first the thing is fairly large. When you think about it though it needs to be because it has a clean water tank, and a dirty water tank, plus a charging base (Don't worry they're all together when on the ground), once you get it assembled, and it's done charging (Make sure you flip the switch on the back of the dock), then you will be ready to put it to work. The neatest thing about this machine is that it will recognize carpet. We only have one rug in the house, and it lifts up the mopping pad to avoid that, and it vacuums it but will not mop it which is so amazing. Then it will continue its job throughout the house. The obstacle avoidance is okay, it has a tendency to get itself stuck under our kitchen table about 50% of the time, so I just move out a kitchen chair and then it is fine. It does tend to get stuck on a super thin rubber mat we have under the pet water bowl we have out (like it sucks it up), however, those are the only two obstacles that cause problems. It doesn't seem to have a problem with anything else in the house. Overall I'm very happy with this vacuum. Especially the mopping portion, this alone makes it worthy of five stars. The vacuuming part could definitely be better, but as previously stated it is still a great and solid machine. It's definitely a solid buy!

This robot vacuum and mop is just amazing. Unboxing and setting this machine up was super easy and quick (which most of the time being spent setting up the app to program it). The first-time mapping is surprisingly quick, and accurate, and just watching it do that indicated right away it's smart and it was accurate with it's movements. It basically went into each room and scanned to get the shape and layout of the room then moved on to the next when it could see it was mapped with no other rooms or hallways to go into. In terms of performance, it's pretty good, the battery life is great and it has plenty of suction that seems to get most dirt and debris up. After checking the rollers for hair, I can see that it looks like it won't tangle but time will tell how much maintenance on the rollers will need to be done to keep them clean. As for the spin mops, wow, this thing really does get right up to the edge and covers easily 98% of your floor and gets them clean. Having used this machine now a few times, I can say there's only two things I'd change. One is the dirty water bin is tricky to hold and empty without getting it on you or splashing it. My advice is don't let it get too full or try to empty it when you know the robot has cleaned and mopped. The second is the fill bin, I don't know why they didn't design it so you could fill it from the top other than perhaps it's intended so you don't spill on the machine and damage it as you're filling it. The only other nit-picky thing I didn't like is that an extra bag, spin brush, pads and a trial floor detergent to sample when setting up your machine were NOT included. I would have thought with being on the top end of machines, that some of that might have been included as a starter kit, but it wasn't. So, if you order this machine be sure to order the floor cleaner and extra bags/parts so you aren't waiting should you need to replace them. Aside to that, I would still absolutely recommend this machine as it really does such a good job cleaning and the high-tech features like cleaning the pads and drying them really takes keeping your floors clean to not only a new level but much more sanitary than other "Swiffer" type mops that just push wet pads around that you have to change. Because of that and despite the nit-picky thing I didn't like I can overlook that because it really just does perform so well. B
