    We needed bookshelf speakers for our new stereo receiver & turnplayer. I found these speakers on your website. Before ordering, we stopped at our local Baxter MN store which is 1 1/2 hours away & asked if these speakers would work with our receiver. We gave him the name & model number of the receiver. His answer was yes they should, he also mentioned he had heard of the that brand. I ordered them & they wouldn’t work. We found out that the speakers were for a computer. I returned the back to the store & ordered speakers from Amazon that work beautifully.

    These might be okay for a computer or an old CD player because they do not have standard speaker wire inputs. You input rca to one speaker (the right one) and it has volume and bass controls and then it sends the left signal to the other speaker with speaker wire. If you use this with a receiver like I tried it will frequently overdrive the speakers.

    Good cheap powered speakers. Used them for my friend's PC, they work good and sound better than more expensive competition (like the Presonus Erie). They sound good, bass it's a bick lacky but not underpowered. For the price, can't complaint. To the person that put a 2-stars review, these are NOT bookshelf speakers. They are powered speakers, used by itself and thus NOT requiring a receiver.

    These are glorified computer speakers. They will not work with a traditional component audio system. They are externally powered and require an outlet.
