Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased and tried this Eero 7 system (dual-band, and not tri-band) as an upgrade to my Eero 6 Pro system since the system is so easy to setup and the Eero app is so easy to use. However, the fastest Wi-Fi speeds I could get with the Eero 7 system was 300 Mbps when standing close to each of the 3 Eero units, but only 50-150 in most other areas of our home when not standing close to one of these 3 units - the same Wi-Fi speeds as the Eero 6 Pro I replaced. This was frustrating considering we have 2 Gbps fiber optic ethernet with Quantun Fiber and the base Eero unit connected directly to the Quantum fiber modem was receiving 2.18 Gbps download speed and 1.07 Gbps upload speed. So I returned the Eero 7 system and upgraded to the more expensive Eero 7 Pro system. I observed excellent performance right out of the gate with 600-800 Mbps Wi-Fi speed throughout all 3 levels of our 5,000+ sqft home, and with no dead spaces. And when sitting or standing close to one of the Eero 7 Pro units I can get Wi-Fi speeds > 1 Gbps. If you can afford the Eero 7 Pro system, this is an excellent system and is highly recommended. If you want a simple mesh system to get from 50-300 Mbps Wi-Fi speed throughout your home, go with the less expensive Eero 7 system. However, if you want faster Wi-Fi to best support multiple wireless divices and to stream 4K content in multiple room, go with the Eero 7 Pro system.

The old router and modem was Eeros, the new modems were junk. I bought these to replace the low quality supplied ones. They are amazing, once you get the settings the way you want them, you will never lose or suffer with slow wifi.

And today, after several days, this system works perfectly. The app is very easy to use — it lets you control everything, see which devices are connected and which aren't. An amazing system

However the only thing i kept running into was that it'll lose connection here and there at random times but it could just be my isp.

If you determine that your ISP isn't the source of the connection lose, here are some troubleshooting steps that may help on the eero side: 1. If you're noticing signal drops on a particular eero node, power cycle that eero. If the signal drops on all eeros on the network, power cycle all of your eeros. You'll do this by unplugging the power cable from the back of your eero, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in. This step can sometimes fix connectivity issues. 2. Unplug the power cable from your modem, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If this information doesn’t resolve your issue, call eero customer service at (877) 659-2347. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. I hope this helps. Have a great day!

Eero 7 Mesh Upgrade

We constantly had devices loosing connection. After reading several different mesh system reviews and talking with the in store associate, we decided on the Eero 7. Seamless install and house has no dead zone. Only regret is not having done this sooner. Will stay with Eero and recommend to others.

The only thing I don’t like is that the app pushes eero+ for more features where other devices offer those features out of the box. If you’re a casual, this will be a great purchase for you.
