Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

With four in the household working and going to school over VC, this mesh system has provided much better coverage than the Xfinity Wireless Gateway. In addition to increased coverage around the home, we're seeing download and upload speeds at or above the same level that the Xfinity Gateway was providing.

I upgraded to the eero Pro 2nd gen 3-pack from a Netgear X4S and EX7000 extender in a three-story house. I placed the gateway router in the basement, one on the 1st floor, and one on the 2nd floor. First and foremost, the wi-fi coverage and DL speeds improved noticeably. Literally went from 38 Mbps to a consistent 140 Mbps at every corner of every floor I tested. (The 140 Mbps is the limit I seem to be hitting with my ISP). In terms of wi-fi performance, I have no regrets moving from the Netgear X4S. Setup was not as straightforward. I previously used static IP addresses with my Netgear router, and I was disappointed to find that eero forces a 192.168.4.1 DHCP gateway address, which you cannot edit. It's inconvenient if you use static IPs with 192.168.1.xxx, because you have to modify each of your network clients to move to the new subnet before you migrate to eero. That wasn't something specified in the manual, and I really wish eero would have allowed me to edit the gateway address just to make this migration easier. Overall, I am pleased with the eero Pro 3-pack and will keep the new mesh system. But just be aware of potential setup hiccups if you are moving from a static IP configuration.

These have been fantastic. They provide excellent wifi coverage throughout my home when they are both hardwired. I've never used one as a pure wifi extender though. We have over 40 devices connected at any given time, including cameras, smart lighting, phones, tablets, laptops, and game systems.

I put off buying the eero Pro for a few years due to the high costs and initial limited reviews. I now wish I never would have waited so long to make the switch from my AT&T router to the eero Pros. You can even add beacons to this package for even MORE wi-fi coverage! Where do I begin? My garbage coverage and slow speeds provided by the AT&T router has now been replaced with an amazing blanket of wi-fi coverage around my entire 2700sq home! I am no longer having connection issues with my DirecTV or any of my smart devices (Ring doorbell, Arlo cameras, WeMo switches & plugs) in my home and actually get the internet speeds I am paying for via wi-fi! The eero app also lets you monitor all devices on your internet and to "pause" (or even remove) specific devices at any times! So if you have a kid who tries to stay up at all hours of the night playing video games, you can have the internet paused for that device from specific hours each night! We highly recommend the eero Pros!

Just got it and I like it so far. With 20+ devices connected at any given time its very good. Def a lot more expensive than any previous network and set up so I hope it maintains this value for a few years before I have to buy a new one which has been the case with past routers, every 3-4 years. Only one issue, but I don’t think it’s network related is my cell service, even via wifi, isn’t great (and I have a cell network extender in the router). We’re At&T and Verizon so not sure what to do, but I can live with it.

I needed a three unit system to cover all of my dead spots that I have in and around my home. I found this eero mesh system very easy to install and configure, it works like a dream and has completely taken care of the many dead areas that my wireless router had troubles with. I should have made this upgrade some time ago.

Our internet connectivity with Frontier Communications was terrible at best snd we needed a more reliable system especially since working from home had become the new normal. Our Geek Squad technician expertly installed the system and we now have the full speeds we’re paying for even extending out to our patio.

Before I purchase the system almost 90% of my down loads would not work. Now with the system up and running I have no problems with watching anything.
