Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

Eero is not the best solution for a large home

I wrote this same review for the Eero beacons. This set up was in a 26,000 sq. ft. 3-story 2 building home with multiple remodels. For existing network, it has 3 wired Cisco switches and Ethernet wall jacks throughout the house. We finished with 9 Eeros and 6 Beacons. The Eero Beacons do a good job of filling the dead spots in a WiFi mesh network. However, if the location already has Ethernet cables run throughout the building and you are looking to fill holes between wired Eeros, then you need to be aware that Eero requires that you build out your mesh network. Wired Eeros that are too far apart will not connect wirelessly or over the wire. You have to add your first wired Eero, then add a Beacon if the next wired Eero cannot communicate with the first wired Eero wirelessly. They do not use the Ethernet cables to establish their connection. The Beacon has to go in place, then the next wired Eero can establish a connection to the Beacon that has established a connection to the first wired Eero. It works, but not as easily as placing all the wired Eeros at Ethernet jacks, then filling in the dead spots with Beacons. In my own much smaller 2-story 2300 sq. ft. home, I have been far more satisfied with my Ubiquiti AmpliFi set up with one cube and two mesh points, which is far more than necessary.

The nest wifi connection created by Eero is amazing. Solved all my wifi dead spots from living in a home with bricks and thick walls. And amazing to have direct network access for my work computer, separate from the family wifi access. No one is crushing my bandwith!

Had speeds of 7 mbps in the far reaches of my 2500 sq feet home of cable router with 400 mbps service. In 10 minutes Agustin was set up and running and speeds jumped into the 375 range. Easy setup and nice and easy parental controls.

I bought this mesh router for my 2 story home. My old router that I paid a monthly fee to Spectrum was so slow and always dropping the signal. With is router... anywhere i am in my house I have full bars of signal... and the speed is ineradicable. I went from 5-10mb/sec to 230 mb/sec.

OMGosh! This was a good deal. I have been paying for the highest internet speed, and through all the calls and complaints I've made to Spectrum, not once did they suggest that my router could be obsolete. This new system is a vast improvement.

I purposely waited a few months before reviewing. I am extremely pleased with erro Pro Mesh System. Our home is a 4 level split and we now have NO Wi-Fi issues now. I wish I would have purchased this sooner. It is easy to set-up and use. 5 stars!

Product was incredibly easy to setup and also allowed for a few customizations (changing DNS servers). Only confusing part was that the Ethernet ports aren’t labeled LAN or WAN, which I called Eero support to clarify (Eero software automatically determines and sets firewall rules accordingly)

After months of struggling with poor WiFi signals, constant video buffering and dead spots, the Eero Mesh Pro was the perfect solution. It was easy to install and in no time Hulu was streaming well in all rooms of our home. No more regrets now on cutting out satellite tv.

The range on these is amazing. I had other brands too end units before this and had no where near the range or simplicity of linking things to it and using the app to manage it and labeling of each item on the network. Great product, I would highly recommend it!

Had to set cable modem in proper mode, but once I figured that out things started working smoothly and my WiFi range was greatly improved along with the signal strength. When in default mode, my facebook portal kept dropping calls and it would appear to be very slow at times.

    Good but Better when hardwired

I recently upgraded to the 2nd Generation EERO mesh network and when I did, I decided to hard wire them and they are even better when you do this. The mesh network without the hardwire is ok. I have 3300 sqft to cover and these do a pretty good job. I have about 900Mbps on the wire and get around 550Mbps wirelessly. I had to upgrade to these as the previous generation was not compatible with the higher speeds. The EERO app is pretty good as it allows you to see what devices are on the network and gives the option to "pause" each device or even block from your network. Once you figure out what is what, you can name each device, assign them a profile and set schedules. I find this option especially handy as I can set schedules to pause my kids' devices at night. The pause is the best for getting their attention! If you have WiFi junkies in the house like I do, this is one way to have control over that addiction. I was not particularly excited about the extra pay service EERO offers. They say you can block adult content on devices but don't offer a way to block particular websites. So if the website or content is not labeled (which I don't know how that is done) then it won't get blocked. Overall, I like these pucks and would recommend these for ultimate control of your WiFi network.

The system is expensive, at $200 per unit, but you get what you pay for. We have a two store 2500 sq ft house and we’ve tried all kinds of extenders in the past and still got dead zones, especially around big appliances. Not anymore. Dead zones are gone. Worth the buy.
