Seamless Connections - Crazy Fast

I have 3 eeros set up in my 2600 square foot home. Connections are seamless and performance is crazy fast. I had one of the units fail in the first week. Support was awesome. Via chat, we were able to coordinate replacement. Was sent to me within 48 hours and no problems since. FYI. Even 1 unit short, I was still able to connect anywhere in the house. The mobile app is great, and makes setup easy. No issues on initial set up or on replacement setup.

The network I've been dreaming of...

I had an ac2400 router and 2 network extenders (so 3 ssid's) to get internet throughout my house. Although I am paying for 150 Mbps I couldn't get over 25 down and 20 up. And I couldn't print to my printer because it was on an extended network. Fed up, I went to Best Buy and learned about Eero. It's pricey but I said, "what the heck". If it didn't work, back to Best Buy it would go. Got it home, tore my stuff out and started setting up Eero. I was done in 20 minutes. I have one network throughout now. And my speed is at 180 mbps. Wired I'm at almost 200 as well. I'm very happy.

A mesh network that makes sense

For the past ten years I have installed many enterprise class mesh networks, primarily the Cisco-Meraki equipment. They come with high price licensing fees and as such are not a good choice for the consumer/residential market.
In the past year has been an avalanche of new products designated as mesh network devices. I think EERO has hit a sweet spot between price and performance. There are some that are cheaper and some that are more performant. None of them as good as a Meraki enterprise mesh but they do the job. EERO with only two frequencies bands available can perform better than a three band mesh network when you do the backhaul over wire and many times the bottleneck is the modem not your WiFi. Careful positioning with a better nodes density can do miracles without spending a fortune.

I love my Eero - Ac Whole Home Wi-fi System. After ten years in my current home with limited internet access and minimal connectivity, I was ready to just give up. I tried router after router with failing results, nothing ever changed. Now with my new Eero - Ac Whole Home Wi-fi System I have the fastest internet ever and every inch and every corner of my home is Wi-Fi friendly. Eero - Ac Whole Home Wi-fi System has changed my home computer experiences from miserable and tasking to fun and enjoyable. Thank you Eero!!!!

I bought the single Eero for my large 2 Bedroom apartment as a replacement for my old Apple router which was losing Internet speed from one end of the apartment to the other. I placed the single Eero in the center of my apartment, and my Internet speed was consistent throughout the unit. The 2 or 3 pack would probably work best in a multi-level house or condo.

Eero to the rescue

I was experiencing severe network drops with the original Comcast router AND a second remote router. Once the Eero routers were installed, drops virtually disappeared. The systems I had installed were the original 3-pack and an additional single unit. That covered the whole house to the point that I am now able to point to the network deficiencies of our provider.

I have purchased and installed many different routers, and not the cheap ones either. eero is by far the best performing setup I have ever used, hands down. I was skeptical, because as you will read in other reviews, this system does not have a lot of software settings and features. However, it out performs any other single router I have ever used (per the rules here, I won't list brand names).
You download the eero app, then connect the first eero to your internet modem. There are 2 LAN ports on the eero and you can use either one to connect to the modem. Once you get it set up to your internet provider, the app will ask you if you want to install another eero. Put the second one where you want it, set it up through the app, and repeat.
I have a sub par internet connection. On a good day I'll get 3Mbps if I'm lucky. With my old setup (and by that I mean, with every other name brand router I have ever used, including the 4 antenna ones), I could not watch TV while the kids were online. With the eero setup, I can watch TV, one kid can be downloading something while the other is on YouTube, etc. I don't have to kill every other device to watch tv anymore. Buffering almost doesn't exist any more, and when it happens it doesn't last 15 minutes anymore. And like I said, my internet is weak (I live out in the country and have no options).
Yeah, the initial cost is higher than you might think it should be, but it's worth it. And for non-technical people the eero system has no learning curve. Each eero has 2 LAN ports and a USB port. Your devices automatically chose which eero to use without your intervention. eero is not like using range extenders with a regular router. I know because I've tried that, too. The eero system is more powerful, far easier to set up and far more user friendly.
Don't let the price scare you, it's totally worth it and you will have a smile on your face when you are done installing them!

Wifi Done Right and Easy

I've had my eero's since they shipped back in February/March. It's incredibly easy, and the performance has only gotten better over time. I purchased the 3 pack, and set them up in my 1100 sq foot apartment. You download the iOS/Android App (I used iOS), and plug one eero in, and follow the instructions in the app. Even better, when I did have an issue, calling support was PHENOMENAL! They have an excellent support team, and are super responsive.
Setup took approx between 5 and 10 minutes from start to finish with all 3 eeros. If you're tired of setting up various extenders, with different SSID's/Network names, this is a solid solution. I'm currently using it with Uverse, and didn't run into any connection issues.

The Apple Fanboy Jumped Ship
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I've been an Apple Fanboy since 1989 and I've purchased for the most part exclusively Apple products, including the Airport Extreme & Airport Express base stations, which I use to blanket my entire 4 story townhouse with WiFi connection. In total I use 5 and the higher you move up the house, the worse the connection gets, even just on the second floor, the WiFi connection drops. Some of the routers would just randomly disconnect and I have to power cycle to get them back online. It's been frustrating!
Well out with the old and in with the new and this is where eero comes into the picture. The price is steep, but what you get is a reliable connection, easy to set-up and fast & steady connection. I have Verizon FiOS as my ISP and TV provider, and with my AirPort connection, I've changed the settings on the FiOS router to allow the AirPort Base Station to control and assign the IP addresses. I was worried that eero wasn't gonna work with how I programmed the Verizon router, but it worked perfectly. eero found the network after one failed attempt (I think the Verizon router hasn't power cycled completely yet). Once the first eero router found the network, the remaining two eero routers were easy to connect through the eero iOS app. It's truly plug and play and the instructions on the app was so easy to set-up that it's practically foolproof. It also allows you to set-up a guest network with a separate password. I do miss the option on the Apple routers to make the network invisible just for added security.
The first eero router is on the ground floor aka the Man Cave, the second router was placed in the living room on the second floor, the third was placed on the fourth floor in the master bedroom. I was worried that the last one wouldn't connect because of the distance but the eero network found it instantly. For optimal placement eero recommends that the routers are within 40 feet of each other and preferably at line-of-sight.
The app lets you check your connection speed and on the fourth floor, it maintained the speed of what I'm paying my ISP provider. No more dead zones for me!
To recap... if you're experiencing WiFi issues at your home because of dead zones, buffering, router issues, give eero a try. Yes the price is steep but what you get in return is a reliable WiFi connection without the hassle.

I purchased the Eero network 3 pack (1st version) for my home that was built in 1925 out of ceramic block and concrete stucco which made WiFi coverage difficult at best. On top of that, our walls are plaster on wood lath. I have tried and given away numerous routers, access points and range extenders over the years all of which were unsatisfactory for one reason or another. I read numerous reviews of similar products, some of which supposedly were "faster". However, what sold me on Eero is the following:
1. Setup is via an Apple or Android app. The app is elegant, intuitive and simple. It took me less than 15 minutes to update the base node and to install it and the two remote nodes (now called "beacons" in the Second version of the product). I have been involved with technology and networking for a number of years and never, ever encountered anything that was so simple to install, get up and running and dependable.
2. My home WiFi comes through Charter/Spectrum and tops out at 100 mbps. Previously, I could reach that speed only on my HP desktop hardwired to the commercial level Arris modem/router gateway and could never reach speeds in excess of 50 mbps on any phone, tablet or portable computer - even when the device was only a few feet from the gateway. Now, I can achieve full 100 mbps download/upload on all my devices irrespective of where I am in my home. In fact, I liked my Eero so much I purchased a second set to use in a mountain cabin. There, the local cable company only delivers 25 mbps speed so speed is really irrelevant to me. Lastly, the setup gives you one viewable network instead of gateway and several other access point based devices. You can move seamlessly throughout the area covered by the Eero network.
If you live somewhere with gigabit speed available, maybe there is a reason to buy another product. However, I enjoy amazing reliability, all the speed I pay for and quite simple and easy setup and network maintenance.

After trying "extenders", eero saved my WiFi
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Let me preface this by saying that I've tried a *LOT* of different products that supposedly would spread WiFi throughout my home: Netgear range extenders, repeaters, the best/fastest AC routers, and nothing worked. It seems like no matter how powerful a router/extender are they seem to fall apart when trying to use WiFi upstairs or on the other side of my home.
I tried eero and honestly expected it to be the same story (just pricier), and I'm sold. This is the device that I didn't know I needed and it completely solved my WiFi problems in one, fell swoop. Setup took about 10 minutes (mostly spent walking through my home to setup the 3 devices); and it was easy and almost delightful. I used the same SSID and password as my old network and everything switched over.
Now we get great WiFi speeds in the master bedroom, the home office, the living room, and the back deck! It's amazing: I feel like I can now freely move about my home with my devices without worrying about my connectivity. Plus, I'm a hero to my wife, who is ecstatic that her devices work everywhere, too!
Highly recommend!

No more struggling with trying to get Wi-Fi extenders to work or putting up with spotty wi-fi coverage in your house. The Eero system really does work AND could not be easier to set up. From out of the box to full wi-fi coverage in about 10-15 minutes. I watched the on-line video first and was highly skeptical that it could be that easy, but it was. Download the Eero app first to your phone or tablet and then just follow the very clear instructions and you are all set. The instructions stress line of sight between each unit, but none of ours have line of sight and they work just fine. The app tells you if the placement is good and you can easily relocate a unit if you need to. We are very happy with the product and glad something finally hit the market that was truly easy to set up and use. They even tell you in very plain English and simple instructions how to prepare combined router/modem units to work with the Eero in case you have one of those (it's easy).

Honestly, these things are just so easy to use and they are a breeze to set up and manage. I am actually using these is a nightclub (everyone wants WiFi these days). And we have them throughout the club. Nothing worked previously and running ethernet cables throughout the club was something we didn't want to do in the immediate future. Eero to the rescue. They managed to create a WiFi network that encompasses the entire club (and large amount of square footage, forgive me I don't know the actual number). And it just works! Previsouly we have tried to use WiFi extenders. When they worked (which was rarely), they ran at a snails pace and only covered a small among of the club. Now with Eero, we have a fast connection everywhere. Customers and employees alike enjoy the fast speed and the convince of the full club WiFi. These are amazing. If you are having WiFI issues or want to have WiFi in a vast area, this is the device for you.

Ok, the price is certainly a turn off. But the Eero is the most cost effective whole home wifi system out there. I have a 3 story home (one is a full basement). Set up was extremely simple. I get 100% of my paid-for speed wirelessly on every device simultaneously. I never thought these days would come! Before purchasing, I spoke with two associates at my local Best Buy. One of them helped me decide between the 3 major players (Orbi, Linksys, Eero). For the price of 2 routers, I received better than expected results. The only reason I can imagine going with one of the other brand systems is if you have to cover close to 6000 sq ft. I'm doing 4,000 with no problems and even getting full signals outside around the house.
Just to explain my setup, I have one on the 2nd floor connected directly to the modem, one on the 1st floor in the family room, and one in the basement (sub-terranian). No issues.

I was skeptical about the eero system. I originally came in to purchase a different system. The sales associate steered me towards the eero instead. So far so good. The system is pretty straightforward to set up, but is somewhat finicky on the placement of the sensors. (they're not exactly where I would liked to have placed them) But, fast wifi throughout my 3500 sq ft house. And with the app, if there are any issues I can easily troubleshoot.

If strong signal and fast wifi is something important to you, I'd highly recommend this beacon pack. I had no clue what this did until I explained my Wi-Fi problem to the blue shirts, but it is the best purchase I've made in a while. It boosted my internet speed from 5Mbps download to over 100Mbps that I was paying the cable company for. With 7 devices connected I've never lost speed either. It is great.

I have a 3,000sf house with two floors and a basement. The house also has a 3-car garage and a large deck on 1.5 acres. I wanted reliable Wi-Fi in every room of the house, basement, garage and throughout most of the property. I bought the Eero 3-pack and placed one in the living room (hub), one in the second floor office and one in the garage. They replaced a flakey 3 year old Apple Extreme. Wow - they work great. I also decided to purchase 1 -add on Eero and I put that in the basement and made the the hub next to the router. The one in the the living room is wired with Cat6 to the hub and all others use the wireless mesh system. I've had them now for about 5 months. Very happy with them. A great, reliable system.

Due to being close to a lake without many communication towers and a house with a strong radiant barrier, we are searching for the right solution to meet our internet needs throughout our large house. I spoke with a very knowledgeable Geek Squad Member who walked me through the pros and cons of the system. He explained how the system would allow for additional Eeros to be added and the communication between all Eeros within the house will be seamless.
He was right. We have 5 Eeros in our home and we stream over 15 devices on the Eeros running a 1 GB line into the system to be disbursed internally within our house. We are able to stream 3 iPads, a computer and 2 Playstation 4 systems all at the same time to test the system to see if there would be any lagging. Needless to say, everything runs great without any issues. This system is pricey but worth the money. As the old saying goes "you get what you pay for".
We love our system and on top of that, the app that you can control on your phone is great as well as it provides constant system information and allows you to shut down devices your kids may be playing which is great at bedtime. No more "5 more minutes" responses from our children!

Although my house is small, it's a brick home with plaster walls and that can make wifi reception a nightmare from room to room. I also spend a good deal of time outside and it was really hard to get a good signal from a single unit.
I'll get this out of the way first, the Eero 3 pack is expensive, and may not be necessary in all cases, but generally I have been happy with it. The initial setup was a bit frustrating as updates were failing remotely, so I plugged them in with Ethernet and that seemed to solve the problem. I'd recommend plugging all 3 in together and updating each to start before moving them around. It also took a bit of time figuring out where to place each Eero, but now that my setup is complete I am happy with it. The iPhone app that manages your network is beautiful and dead simple to use. I believe I've eliminated all dead spots and my signal outside is much stronger than before. For the price I can't recommend this to everyone, but if you've got some problem areas in your house this could be the cure.

I live in a two-story house with the router on the 2nd floor, but spend most of the time on the first floor. I had issues staying connected, especially trying to stream shows on the TV, but when I installed this system (which is easy to do in about 15 minutes) I no longer had connectivity issues, including no buffering when streaming shows on the TV. If you're having the same issues, this system is worth it.
