Recommended by a fiber specialist to replace a “professionally installed” extender that was inhibiting the speed from the router. I hemmed at the prospect but he said I’d be able to install on my own and he was right. Increased the speed, quality, and range in my home. All my security cameras are now working as they should.

Now im “fixated” on a number, and have to have the 7 max ehich is 3 times more expensive, when in all actuality this is my best option for my 2 gig fiber service, im returning this next week to get the max 7 because i want to fully utilize my 2 gig fiber, if i had 1gig fiber, this would be more than enough… im justifying the purchade by telling myself im future proofing my home lol

Was fairly easy to set up. The one problem I had, I called eero tech support and the person was very knowledgeable and easily solved the problem. To me, the quality tech support can be as important as the quality of the product itself. I recommend an Eero to my sister, since she also had a VERY old Apple router (like I did) that was beginning to fail. She also had to use eero tech support to solve a set up problem and had good results. My Eero is in my basement and easily covers the 2nd floor of my Cape Cod style house with 4 full bars. Also reaches past my attached breezeway and garage, I still get 3 bars out in my driveway. The single base eero (no satellites) signal reaches farther than my approximately 15 year old Apple Airport Extreme Router did. Wish Apple still made routers but sadly they don’t, but I think this eero is the best replacement.
