So I am going to start out by saying I have approximately 200 smart home devices total. I have tried Netgear Nighthawk, I have tried Netgear Orbi (4 satellite system), and many others. I have spent hundreds on different WiFi systems. I have to say hands down by far this is the best WiFi mesh system out there!!!! I have a gigabit download speeds from Comcast Xfinity. I’m actually getting that on my cell phone using WiFi! I love how quick and easy the set up was, I love how sleek the satellites look, and I love how reliable the system is. I also enjoy the Alexa compatibility. The only problem I have with this system was the price tag. But let me tell you again, it is 10000% worth it! Do yourself a favor, and just buy it!

This is the easiest Wi-Fi system to setup. I think that’s is really going to appeal to users that are both technical and non-technical. This is a system I could recommend to my parents who aren’t technical and I’m positive they could figure it out which is saying a lot. I think Eero did a phenomenal job with the guided setup instructions. I'm coming from ceiling mounted Ubiquiti Pro APs that I have had and loved for years. To say I'm a power user is an understatement. From a consumer Wi-Fi perspective, these Eero’s are probably the best on the market. You can feel the quality of these when you take them out of the box. They have a decent weight to them and are solid. I really like the power source is USB-C. I would love to find a way to ceiling mount these like I did my Ubiquitis I have the perfect spot. Of course, the packaging was on par as well. I have a smart home with tons of smart home devices, over 100. I have them linked to my smart things hub currently but I am going to try to move some of my devices to Eero just to try out the ZigBee tech on it. I feel it is definitely worth a shot given the performance. This is something I have not yet accomplished but plan to do in the near future. I also have 1Gbps AT&T fiber to pair with this Wi-Fi system which really gives me the ability to test the full capability of the system. I have tested different locations in my 2600 sq. ft. 2 story house and I currently have a hard-wired access point upstairs, a wireless connected access point downstairs in my bedroom, and another wired access point in my living room. Given that I don’t have a huge house my signal is very solid and I'm wondering if having 3 of these monsters in my 2600 sq ft home is really necessary. So, I’m going to play with different configurations in the future and find out what really works best for me. From the router speed tests I get my advertised 1Gbps speeds. My wireless test device (Pixel 4a) did a great job right by the upstairs connected main AP getting over 400Mbps down/up. As I move further away, obviously that changes somewhat. But I get on average anywhere in my house around 200Mbps up/down which is amazing. The built-in smart security features and logging are awesome on this system. It really adds a lot of value if you are looking for that kind of granularity and control over your connected devices. Setting up groups for my children’s TVs and putting timers and content restrictions is amazing. I use to do this through DNS but now I can do it through my Wi-Fi app. Its brilliant. I also like the fact that I can get alerts when new devices connect to my network. That way if I see something I don’t feel should belong, I can investigate. Automatic updates are quick and easy as well. Overall, I feel that Eero put together an amazing consumer Wi-Fi system and would highly recommend it over other MESH systems I have tested.

Purchased two of these from Best Buy. New, in packaging, I assumed. Hooked one of them up and it indicates that it is a “Lennar Model Homes” eero. So either they repackaged one that somebody returned to Best Buy or Lennar Model Homes has bought Amazon. I don’t live in a Lennar home. Not happy about that, but more unhappy with eero’s advertising and privacy policies. The eero app is constantly trying to upsell their security package, and many router standard features are hidden behind that paywall. The privacy policy is, well, Amazon like, even if you choose not to use your Amazon login with the eero. It also thinks my gigabit upload speed is 75mbps, but it’s acutally 820mpbs on a gigabit line, so none of the QoS features work.

The short answer is that I recommend the eero Pro 6. The longer answer… My first mesh systems was the original Google Wi-Fi. This worked great. I set it up and never thought about it again. But our usage changed over time. We got a 1 gig fiber line. We cut the cord (bye-bye Comcast, never looked back). We started streaming 4k content. I started working from home full time. We needed more speed. I upgraded to Google Next Wi-Fi. Speeds were good. But I had a lot of issues with dropped connections (a couple times a day). Sometimes we would see some buffering. I was extremely disappointed with Google Nest Wi-Fi. Enter eero Pro 6. Here are some notes on eero Pro 6: Setup: I had eero Pro 6 setup and running in 10 minutes. Super easy. I used the same Wi-Fi ID and password. My 40+ device all connected except for one. The one device that did not connect was a laptop. After some research I could get it to connect by going into the eero app, going under troubleshooting, selecting “I’m having issues connecting a device” and turned-on “Legacy” mode. You do take a hit with speed here. I could not get an updated driver for this old laptop. To keep it connected without “Legacy” mode on I had to hardwire it. It appears this is a common issue with older Wi-Fi adapters not seeing Wi-Fi 6 networks. For now, I am hardwiring the laptop via ethernet cord. Placement: One point needed to be where the fiber modem is installed. I needed a second point in my office on other side of house. The third point I moved around a bit to get optimal coverage. This one ultimately went downstairs. The app does allow you to see how many devices connect to a node. I was well balanced with 10-14 devices on each node. Speed: Speed (using Speedtest.net) topped out at 500 MPS on primary node (connected to fiber). Speed is about 300 MPS when connected to the distributed nodes. I am getting my full 1 Gig speed coming in via fiber as per the app. eero app: I read a lot of reviews that said the app was too basic. Well, it is basic, but it provides me what I need. I have optics into what is connected. I can see what devices are using 2.4 vs 5 mhz. Software updates can be automated. App works well enough. Note that you can opt into “experimental” features. There were three available at this time and I have had no issues. I appreciate the option to preview and provide feedback. Paid services: I was little irked that you need to pay for the eero Secure service. This service blocks threats and ads. The lowest tier pricing is $2.99 per month. It seems to work. You do not take a noticeable performance hit with the extra scanning. So, I may subscribe at the end of the trial. They do give you 30 days to try it. You don’t have to subscribe. The system is still secure. Stability: I have had the system for the last couple weeks and it has been rock solid. No issues with dropped connections. Great coverage and range. Fast consistent speeds. Price: It is expensive. I really hated to spend the money. But you do get what you pay for. And this mesh system does deliver. Hope this helps someone. In the end this is a great mesh system that is easy to setup and use. Great speeds and stability. Future proof with Wi-Fi 6 support.

A few years ago, I installed a first-gen Velop mesh Wi-Fi system in my 2-story house. It has worked fine for the most part, though I've never been thrilled with its clunky feature set and slower speeds at the far corners of my house. I've heard eero mentioned as an excellent mesh system over that same time period, but I was hesitant to make the switch until a Wi-Fi 6 version was introduced. Now that I've switched to the eero Pro 6, there's no going back - this is the way mesh Wi-Fi is meant to be. === SETUP === - Unboxing this set is a delight - there are no unnecessary papers or packaging: just the 3 eeros, the power cords, and an Ethernet cable. - Compared to my previous Velop nodes, the eeros are shorter but definitely have some heft to them. Regardless, they should fit almost anywhere and blend into any home. - Setup couldn't be easier, and it's all done through the sleek eero app. All you need is an email address or phone number (no new account passwords to remember), and then follow the simple instructions. The app even runs placement tests during the setup process so you can be sure that you're placing the eeros in spots that will allow for maximum performance. Any of the eero Pros can be used as the main "gateway" (the one that connects to your modem) -- they are all identical and interchangeable, so don't worry about the order in which you take them out of the box. - After all of the eeros are plugged in and ready to go, the app will let you see what devices have already connected to the network, and you can choose to be notified when new devices connected. Each device can be assigned to a profile so you can easily see which devices belong to which person and manage them accordingly. === PERFORMANCE === - The main benefit of eero's "Pro" system is its increased speed and coverage, and I'm happy to report that it doesn't disappoint. My house is over 3,000 square feet and is not wired with Ethernet, so we have always relied on range extenders or mesh Wi-Fi to use the Internet throughout the house. - I placed the eeros exactly where I had the Velop nodes: The gateway node connected to the modem in the office at far corner of the lower level; the second one in the dining room in the middle of the lower level; and the last one in a guest bedroom upstairs, above and just slightly diagonal from the dining room. - Our Xfinity plan is a modest 200 mbps download / 10 mbps upload (although speeds usually top out a bit higher at around 240 down / 12 up). With the Velop system, I always achieved full speeds when I was near the main node in the office, but speeds were essentially cut in half if I was connected to either of the satellite nodes in the dining room or upstairs. eero Pro 6 has completely eliminated this issue: I now achieve a full 240 down / 12 up throughout the entire house. I ran speed tests on Wi-Fi 5 (AC) and Wi-Fi 6 (AX) devices and received the same results -- I maxed out my Internet speed every time. It's so impressive that I'm tempted to upgrade to the next Xfinity speed tier. - Most importantly, the eero Pro 6 has been incredibly reliable. After a full week of use, I've had zero dropped connections from anywhere in the house. Zero resets or reboots. Handoff from node-to-node as I walk through the house is almost seamless. It's a massive improvement over my now-retired Velop system. === FEATURES AND MANAGEMENT === - Performance aside, eero's app and feature set are what really make this system stand out. Gone are the days of confusing, archaic apps and websites to manage your router. The eero app is brilliantly organized and very intuitive. - The main screen of the app shows you all devices that are currently connected or that have recently connected to your system. Digging deeper, you can see exactly which eero a device is connected to, see how much bandwidth any device is currently using, or choose to block a device from connecting to your network. - Parents will love the "scheduled pause" feature, which allows you to automatically pause a user's devices from accessing the Internet at certain times of the day. - The "Activity" section of the app will show you the Internet speeds that are currently being pulled from your modem, which makes troubleshooting much easier when you suspect a problem with your ISP. - New to the app is a Data Usage feature, which caught me by surprise as I don't see this advertised anywhere on eero's website. Located in the Activity section, the Data Usage screen shows you how much data your devices have consumed over a day, week, and month. It breaks down data usage by user and device with easy-to-understand charts and graphs. - Several more advanced features are reserved for subscribers to eero's "Secure" service, such as content filters for children and ad blocking. I'm sure many will scoff at the idea of paying to unlock these features, but I find the Secure+ subscription to be an incredibly good value with 1Password, Malwarebytes, and a VPN included. - There is no username or password required to log into the eero app (you just use your email address or phone number, and then enter a confirmation number that is sent to you). It's nice that I don't have to remember an additional password, but I also wish I could create secondary, non-administrator accounts so that other family members could use the app without being able to change network settings. === OTHER THOUGHTS === - There aren't too many advanced networking settings offered in the eero app, so if you're a power user who needs to fine tune every last detail of your network, you might be left wanting more. (For example: you are unable to create separate SSIDs for the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands.) - Only two ethernet ports on each node. On the main node, one of those has to be used for your cable modem, which leaves only one ethernet port to connect a desktop computer, home security system, or other device that you would prefer to have hard-wired. If you want more ports, you'll have to connect an Ethernet switch. - No USB ports for those who would like to create a network storage solution. - These latest generation eero models do not yet support Apple HomeKit. I was told by eero support that it should be coming soon, but they are awaiting final certification from Apple. === OVERALL === For large or awkwardly-shaped homes, the eero Pro 6 can't be beat. This system finally allows me to achieve my full Internet speeds from anywhere in my home. The eero app and features are so great that I have found myself opening the app just to admire how well everything works. Beginners and tech gurus alike will appreciate just how amazingly simple and intuitive this system is to setup and manage. No dropped connections, resets, or errors after more than a week of extensive use. An optional subscription service that actually adds exceptional value. This is how mesh Wi-Fi should be. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

eero Pro wifi 6 review I received the 3 pack of the eero Pro wifi 6 Ax-4200 mesh WiFi system for review. I have been looking for a new system replace my wireless AC router and second bridged router. I have never been able to achieve a good coverage in my house due to it’s construction even with numerous extenders having to resort to a hodgepodge of power line adapters, WiFi extenders and routers converted to wireless bridges. My WiFi devices have multiplied and this seemed to destabilize the network even further. I was hoping the eero pro wifi 6 mesh system would solve this! The eero Pro wifi 6 is the new triband wifi 6 version of the eero system. Each unit has 2 auto sensing gigabit ports and a USB C charging port. They are available in several configurations either one router or a 3 pack for a mesh system you can add additional units as needed to expand coverage. The pro version is triband and the standard Eero pro is dual band. I have to say the setup was painless and the speed is fantastic. 1 have a 1 gig service from Suddenlink and exceeded their advertised maximum of 940 Mbps (my max 980!) and my upload speed was 53Mbps. The WiFi on my Laptop with Intel Wifi 6 AX200 160MHz was 247.25Mbps down with 52.05 Mbps up. Setup is performed by using the eero app. You will have to set up an eero account and log in. The app will walk you through setting up each unit. First you set up the main unit as a router once that is done you add the satellite units to create the mesh. I used my Pixel Xl running Android 10 and everything set up flawlessly taking about 15 minutes. I did use a 10 port gigabit switch connected to the main unit for all the wired computers in my testing lab. The units auto updated their firmware as well. The app has a few options you may want to use depending on your devices. You set the wireless network name to whatever you want as well as password. You can choose to have a guest network on or off. Next you choose your notifications you can get notifications when devices join your network then picking all devices or just unrecognized devices. I recommend you initially choose all devices this allows you to see each device name as it logs on initially and then rename them as some devices use very generic names which you can change so you know what they are. After you have every device logged on you can switch it to unrecognized devices if you want fewer notifications. Next you can choose reporting of data usage and weekly security activity with your 30 day trial of these features, after that you can choose to continue them on a subscription basis or not. You can also turn software update notifications on or off. In the advanced tab you can see you external address as well as your gateway address. Ipv6 is off by default but you can turn it on here. If you need to set a static IP it is done under internet connection in this tab, by default it uses your ISP provided external IP address. You can also set up custom DNS if you want but you must disable all of your eero Secure+ features first then re-enable them after you are done. For DHCP and NAT you have 3 choices Auto (default) Manual IP or Bridged mode. You can set up ip reservations and firewall rules. Next you can turn off UPNP if you want. Thread support for IOT low power devices can also be turned on if needed. Zigbee is also supported if you link the eero to your amazon account. You can also change the time zone, restart the router or delete the network. There are beta features available to turn on 5ghz band steering to force 5 ghz capable apps to use it instead of 2.4 ghz, Local DNS caching and WPA3 support. I tried the band steering and it does help the 5 ghz devices achieve best speeds but it made my 2.4 ghz devices connections intermittent. You can get information about each device like mac address and Ip address, give them friendly names and turn network access on and off for each device. If you have children and want content filtering and activity control you can subscribe to eero secure, If you need encryption you can subscribe to eero secure + you will get ipassword and malwarebytes with that as well. I was completely satisfied with eero Pro WiFi 6 from the setup to performance it is an excellent choice. I am looking forward to eeros adding features to the firmware I am unable to get the video live stream from my SkybellHD doorbell but it records and plays back video normally, I am sure this is a port issue. My security cams and all streaming devices had no problems and achieved the best speeds I have ever seen on my network. It would be nice if you could set reservations and ports for each device instead of a separate tab. Other than that I really like the interface. I have set up several networks and this by far was the most painless. If you want fast and stable WiFi I highly recommend this mesh system.

Frustration Free WiFi and Fast Speeds

I have been an owner of an eero network since their initial launch of the generation 1 eero Mesh system. Since introducing the first consumer level mesh system, they have now defined an entire market of mesh network routers, with many trying to replicate or even beat their initial performance. I had swapped over to another Manufacturer mesh solution after the generation 2 eero Pro hardware and was not happy with the overall performance since leaving eero. My speeds were lagging, buffering was sometimes never ending, and while I did have access to Wi-Fi 6, it was not nearly as fast as advertised by the other manufacturer with their mesh solution. In the long box, you will find three eero Pro 6 routers, three power cords, network cables, and a quick setup guide that is printed underneath one of the divider cards. While eero has always offered a more premium unboxing, this iteration is easier to open, and really makes for a frustration free experience overall. The box also serves the important purpose of protecting the contents, with some nice padding to keep the shiny new eero from scuffing. This is one of the first routers I have owned (or electronic device in general) that does not require peeling of clear film. It is just an open, set, and forget experience. Things to note if you're looking to buy eero: You should have an ISP compatible modem to get internet to your home (or small office), and make sure you're able to reach the power cord of the modem. While eero does provide great Wi-Fi, you will still need an internet service provided to you (cable or DSL). If you have an existing Wi-Fi router, and want to keep the same SSID (Name), you can do this and successfully set up eero to replace your existing router with minimal disruption to your connected devices. The benefit of keeping the same SSID and a (hopefully strong) Wi-Fi password, is that you will not necessarily need to mess with your wireless devices. In some instances, you might need to power cycle a wireless device to see the new network. In my case, setting the same SSID/Password only resulted in me having to power cycle two CCTV cameras connected over Wi-Fi. They connected immediately once they rebooted and have not had connectivity issues since. If you have owned an eero Pro system, and are currently using eero, the app makes the swap SUPER easy. It walks through removing the old eero and replacing it with the new eero Pro 6. There is even a nice graphical walk through of the steps needed to complete the process. For those familiar with the process, you can also simply add the new eero, and remove the old one once it is fully up to date. The app makes adding and removing eero devices straight forward. I will note that the eero Pro 6 is a bit taller than previous generation eero Pro’s, but the size difference isn’t so much that you’ll need to make more room. You can start with any eero, as they all have two auto sense Gigabit ethernet connections that can be used to connect the modem, and any compatible network switch or Ethernet only device. This means you can hook up any of the eero Pro's to your modem and set the others as wireless access points. Does not matter which port you plug the modem in, it will know which is the modem and which is just routing traffic. You should set aside approximately 10 to 15 minutes for a new network setup. If you are replacing an existing eero network, or adding to your eero’s, it will take maybe 2 to 5 minutes to complete setup. In either case, you will probably need to install a firmware update, using the eero app, which is easy and quick. You should expect your network to reboot once or twice while it completes the updates fully. Keep in mind, that the update prompt is always presented immediately after you complete set up. It might take a few minutes, depending on your network speeds, to download and install the update. If you have existing eero devices, and don’t want to remove them, the eero Pro 6 will work with all previous generation eero devices, but you will only see the increased AX speeds when connected to an eero 6. I’m fortunate enough to get access to my ISPs ultra-tier internet service and can confirm this will work with Spectrum. There will not be a need to call your ISP, if you follow the steps presented during installation. Simply unplug your modem from power, unplug your existing router, use the included ethernet cable from eero to connect to your modem, and your eero. Then plug both into power, and wait for the modem to come online, and your eero to show a flashing blue LED. During initial power up, the blue led did take about 2 minutes to show, as it waited on the modem to fully connect. The eero app will ask you to name the router location, which allows for custom names, and set the SSID (network name) and password. As stated previously, if you want to use the same SSID and password, enter them during this part of the setup. If you are using a modem/router combo, you can simply toggle off the Wi-Fi in the modem/router’s setup menus or call your ISP for assistance with bridging or turning off the Wi-Fi. In most cases. The modem/router combo manufacturer likely has a setup guide available online, with many simply requiring you to go to a default internet address like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.100.1 to access the menus. Once the set-up of the initial gateway eero was complete, the app asked about setting up other eero(s) wirelessly, following the same steps for set up. The eero app will even check position to ensure it has a strong signal to the gateway eero (the one plugged into the modem). Since this is a mesh network, proper placement is vital to make sure you are getting the fastest speeds possible. In my case, I set an eero up in my living room with the modem, one in my master bedroom, and one in my loft area upstairs. I can confirm this is likely overkill for my 2,100 sq foot home, but need wired devices connected in my master bedroom that are not wireless capable. The greatest part of my setup was not having to re-configure about 60 wireless devices. Outside of power cycling two cameras, all other devices connected immediately and without issue. I also witnessed better connectivity across all my devices, with smart cameras loading quicker in their respective apps, my streaming services on my Apple TV’s were starting in 4K without any buffering, and my Xbox was downloading game updates at almost twice the speed over my last router (with another MFG). Having a 400Mbps download speed from my ISP, I was able to see consistent 400+Mbps on my Wi-Fi 6 devices connected on the 5 Ghz bands, and my wired devices connected to wireless eero access points were also achieving full ISP speeds over the mesh network, while wired in to those wirelessly connected eeros. For those devices that are not Wi-Fi 6 compatible, there is no need to worry. The eero routers continue to be backwards compatible with previous generations of Wi-Fi devices, and I have not seen any issues with older wireless devices connecting to the internet. Matter of fact, my older Mac Pro, which is not “ax” but is “ac” compatible, is achieving Wi-Fi speeds at around 200 Mbps when connected over 5 Ghz. This is also an increase over the last mesh network manufacturer that was replaced again with this eero Pro 6, with previous speed tests around 120 to 150 Mpbs. The overall performance boost was almost immediately demonstrated with simple streaming apps on my Apple TV. With my previous mesh network, I was seeing buffering early in playback, resulting in lower than SD resolution for some streams, only for it to catch up a couple of minutes into playback. With eero Pro 6, it’s instant, with all services starting at the highest resolution available, within seconds. I also have the unique circumstance of having an on-site network storage server, and a Linux web server for personal use automations. I have not seen any disconnects, bottlenecks, or issues accessing my storage on my network, and when off my network using their cloud components. Overall, I’m really impressed with the ease of setup, which has only become faster, the eero app is easy to use, and haven’t had to make any adjustments to my eero network since set up. Firmware updates are quick, painless, and the app even notifies you when the install is done. Wi-Fi speeds have been consistent since I installed the new network last week (at launch), and I haven’t seen any connectivity issues with any of my wireless or wired devices, servers, and any streaming platform. eero also offers “eero secure,” which has also been changed since their initial launch. They offer two pricing options, with one of them including some partner service offerings, while the other offers just the network security add-ons. I do want to say, for users with kids, this is a great add on. It does what many commercial wireless providers do, for a consumer level service, with minimal set up required. Simply subscribe on eero’s website, and the change is instantaneous. Overall, this will resolve most issues you might be experiencing with conventional routers. You will eliminate dead spots, see faster connectivity with newer wireless devices that use AX (Wi-Fi 6), and will see fewer network issues in the long run. I can't recommend eero enough for work from home users, and those wanting more connectivity freedom. This hasn't had a single connectivity issue with older devices, so you shouldn't have to worry about issues with your existing devices.

Replaced a 2 year old Linksys Velop that gave me lots trouble with staying connected. LOVE the simplicity of the eero system, its speed, app and reliability. Best mesh Wi-Fi I have owned. Fast speed, great range and it just flat out works as everyone in my family expects. It is expensive however — no regrets.

This mesh system replaces my traditional router. Works really well and each node seems to have better range than my previous single point router. Easy to set up and locate (living room, kitchen and detached garage).

I originally purchased the EERO pro and have used it a few years now. I now have 50 Alexa speakers, 14 Streaming TV’s and 200 smart products. I had decided to get the Pro 6 since it has the zigbee hub built in. I have 4 pro 6’s, 3 Pro and 2 extenders. It’s probably over kill but I’m covering 7500 square feet. Easy to set up and great customer service, “ if needed”. The New pro 6 works great with the older models also. If you have dead spots or slow connections in parts of your home, the EERO should solve any issues. I have the 1000 MBPS and have zero issues streaming several TV’s at once, along with Gaming and music streaming by the kids all at once. This is on top of each smart device. The eero is set up to automatically hook to all of your 2.4 GHZ smart devices and your other 5.0 GHZ products. The Pro6 now has two 5.0 GHZ bans paired with the 2.4GHZ. This helps with the speed also.

I used to run a single router with dd-wrt software, and had a million customizations and modifications. The old horse began to run slowly on all bands after 10+ years of service. The Eero Mesh system provided increased range and speed throughout the entire house, and reduced my number of wi-fi networks from 2 to 1, which was an unexpected blessing. Setting up the new system was surprisingly easy, and I was able to use my old wi-fi network name and password. We'll see how long these last, but they've been great for going on 6 months

The eero Pro 6 3-pack is so easy to set up. Purchased in July, we haven't had any drops since the install. Our internet speeds increased dramatically. We had one of the best antenna routers, but the speed and range were poor in other rooms of our small home. The best part is that in the Eero app, you can view all your devices using your WiFi. You have the ability to sign off a device from WiFi when not in use. You can review real time activity download/upload data on the WiFi. It will keep a history of previous weeks of activity. We like to compare week-to-week activity. Having the 3 nodes, one for main connectivity and 2 for other room(s) placement, is a plus. Going room to room, our WiFi is just as quick, if not quicker, then being in the same room as the main node. Lastly, having the 6 is the update we'll need for devices that can support 6 for faster speed.

Excellent product! I’ve had issues with my almost 4 yo Netgear router for almost a year and blamed it on higher traffic during quarantine, etc. but I researched and realized it was already a dinosaur, not uncommon with such things. So I researched again and decided on the eero pro 6, with 3 pieces, because my home is 3500 sq ft, including one upstairs room. This system has been awesome! It was extremely easy to set up, and everything has worked great. The speed is noticeably improved. Nothing on my smart TV has buffered even once! It was necessary to change the WiFi on each device that uses it, of course, but that was also pretty easy. And although I was a bit reluctant to purchase thru Best Buy because of past difficulties, I have no regrets at all. I got 24 hour free delivery, in perfect condition. I couldn’t be more satisfied with Best Buy or with this system. Highly recommend both!

The EERO Pro's are a great system for anyone with a high end internet connection. I have a 1GB/1GB and these allow to broadcast much higher speeds than a cheaper mesh network. I purchased these because I needed to expand my home wifi to cover every aspect of my house. As most knowledgeable people know the router that comes with your internet service doesn't cover your entire home. With these you can hit every room in your house(depending on the size of your Home) I purchased the 3 pack plus 1 more since I have a 4 bedroom house. I ran an ethernet cable into each 1 so it receives the full bandwidth. The EERO App also works great to manage all of your devices the on network. Setup is fairly easy. FYI you might have to call in to have EERO manually add each device to your network. I have AT&T fiber and couldn't add them due to my ISP so EERO did it in about 20 minutes.

This was such a huge improvement to every other option I've tried. I've bought expensive routers hoping it would increase range and connection consistency. They never helped in the way that I thought they should. This changed that. Immediate there was a massive increase in connection speed all throughout my house, even without plugging in each of the additional access points via ethernet cable. I've got fast WiFi 6 speeds covering my entire house. I haven't had to reset the setup in the week that I've owned it. It has worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this setup, even though it's pricey, as the speed and stability can't be matched. With so many smart devices these days, consistency in the connection is a must.

The eero Pro 6 was easy to set up with eero app and to create my own network. I got the 1-pack and it does a great job of covering my whole 2-story house at about 800 sq. ft. per floor with no satellites or beacons needed for me. I'm getting fast download speeds with this on my cable internet service. The eero app shows which connected devices are online or offline, and it has other features that I like. I have found that the router and app work good together with a variety of features, it has good user support, set up was not too difficult for me, it has regular software updates, and it operates fast and seamlessly between devices. This is the first time that I have set up and used my own wifi router and this one is working really good for me, glad that I got the eero Pro 6!

The Eero Pro 6 AX4200 is using the very latest 802.11AX wireless standards that requires you to have a device that can handle that if you truly want to see the fastest speeds. Fortunately, this is backwards compatible with previous standards (802.11AC) so you will not be left out in the cold even without the latest and greatest. You also must have a Gigabit speed from your ISP if you want to see the full speeds, but I do not have that myself, hopefully you do. Setup was as easy as can be. Downloading the eero app will walk you thru the process from start to finish. It took me about 10 minutes to set mine up. You can set these up to be wireless (which I did) or you can use a wired method for the fastest possible speeds, but I was not concerned with that. I recreated my Wi-Fi network with the same name and passcode as before and nearly all my devices connected right away. I only had issues with a 5-year-old AMD Toshiba laptop and a 3-year-old WeMo plug, neither of these devices would see the new network no matter what I did. I ended up attaching one of my older nodes (of another brand) to this system and created a separate wireless network that was 802.11AC and then those devices connected no problem. Each node has two Ethernet ports that are auto sensing so you can use any of these and plug one into your modem and the other port I have a Linksys 8 port gigabit switch plugged into that and then I can plug in my 7 devices that require a hard connection. Coverage in my 2400 sq ft home is easily covered by this three pack, which is rated for up to 6,000 sq ft. I am seeing great signal all thru my house on both floors and even coverage in my yard which will make things nice when we have people over again. Speed has been great with these, but I do not have a super-fast connection from my cable provider, but I am getting my full speed that I am paying for. I do have about 45 devices that are always connected, which consists of, TiVo’s, tablets, Laptops, Phones, Arlo cameras, smart assistants, etc., and there have been no complaints of slowdowns at all. Build quality seems very solid, these are much bigger than the regular eero 6 and the previous generation eero’s. They have some weight to them, and they feel very well built. The design is minimalistic, and they can easily blend in with just about any environment. The eero app is very well laid out and is easy to use. You can group devises to different profiles and it will keep track of usage per device and profile, so if you are interested in that type of thing, you can see who is hogging all of the bandwidth. I do like the pause internet feature that is built in; I can easily turn off the connection on my kids tablets when it is time for them to put them down. Also, there is some security that is built in, but you can pay extra for it if you want to use it past the trial period, but for the price of this system, I feel that should be included. In the end, this is a great mesh system that provides great coverage and good speed. A little on the expensive side, but this will be a system that will be relevant for years to come. Pros: Speed Set up Build Quality App features Futureproof Cons: Price Backwards compatibility

I bought the Eero 6 4200 3-pack for my cousin in May 2023, wanting something simple to set up and easy to maintain. Fast-forward to today, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. My cousin mentioned that it hasn’t glitched or caused any issues since day one. Updates and maintenance are effortless, and the best part is that they haven’t even had to think about it—it just works. Their exact words: "It always works, and even my kids haven’t managed to mess it up!" That says a lot about its reliability and user-proof design. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a dependable, hassle-free Wi-Fi solution.

Excellent WiFi system. Easy to install with great performance. We have 500 Mbps service and regularly get around 230 Mbps speed at the farthest point over WiFi. A bit expensive, but I got it during a 20% off sale.

For anyone that wants to truly eliminate issues with WiFi at home this is the perfect solution. Like many others, I have tried every other option for possibly improving WiFi throughout my home. Some options improved the signal strength (better router or extender) but speed would suffer. If multiple users were online this would only make matters worse. This is not the cheapest solution but it just works. By far the simplest system to setup. Anyone with basic WiFi skills can get this done. Once everything is setup you will have great signal strength and speeds that are nearly as good as wired throughout your home. Another benefit is the phone app and security features. Just a bonus as far as I'm concerned.
