This mesh system provides a stable connection even in heavy loads with multiple devices on the network. Slight difficulties setting up, but after a month of use, no major issues.

I wasn’t expecting that I would need to uninstall and reinstall all of my connected equipment. I used the same Wi-Fi name and password, but I still had to go through the process of reconnecting everything. It was a hassle, but now it works fine.

Posted .Hi TheTecjNewbie. Thank you for providing feedback on your experience with the eero Pro 6E system. I'm sorry to hear that the upgrade wasn't as seamless as expected. I know that must've been frustrating. When upgrading eeros, I would suggest adding the new eeros to your existing network, completing the setup, then removing the older eeros from the network so that it doesn't prompt you to create a network name and password. To do this you’ll open the eero app, tap the blue plus icon on the top right, select “indoor eero”, then follow the prompts to add the new eero to the network. Once the new eeros are connected, you can use the app to remove the older eeros from your network. I hope this information helps. Have a great day!
We needed upgraded

I saw a immediate improvements in the latency and download speeds. Absolutely worth the upgrade. I think the range of the eero devices could be better, but they work really well. I would recommend.

I have not had any performance issues, and they've generally improved performance of devices on my home network. I have been frustrated several times, however, by the lack of certain more advanced, granular features that I would have expected to be available (given Eero's reputation) — but I guess they didn't specifically promise me these features, so I can't hold it against them too much. There are some other quirks about the app and how administering the devices works (for example, in addition to my home Eero, I was also managing the Eero network at an organization I'm not longer a part of, but I could not find anyone to transfer admin responsibilities to, and since there's no way to just disassociate my account from that network *without* first switching it to another person, I am now stuck with access to this network I do not wish to be associated with. It's a long story, and it's a niche use case, I admit, but it's still annoying and I feel like the app could handle it better). Given these issues and the fact that Eero has opted to drop HomeKit support from their products, I would probably not use them if I had this to do over again.

Stupid Simple

I upgraded from the second generation Eero using the phone app. I did not have to create a new network name or update the logins for ALL of my numerous devices that connect to wifi. This feature was worth the price of admission. The fact that I didn’t even have to tell it to use the old wifi name or password was even better. Upgraded even solved some problems I was havin with my HP Laserjet printer having to reboot every day.
