A Future-Proof Mesh Powerhouse for Gigabit Homes

The Eero Pro 6E is a top-tier mesh Wi-Fi system that’s built for speed and stability, especially in homes with multi-gigabit internet like Verizon Fios. Setup is extremely user-friendly through the Eero app, and the system delivers strong, consistent coverage across large spaces, even with multiple devices connected. Its support for Wi-Fi 6E is a big win, unlocking the 6GHz band for newer devices and reducing congestion.
Performance-wise, it handles 4K streaming, gaming, and smart home devices without breaking a sweat. The tri-band design ensures efficient traffic management, and the system plays well with Alexa for smart integrations. However, the lack of advanced customization (like detailed QoS settings or native VPN support) might disappoint power users. Also, many features are locked behind a subscription with Eero Secure+, which feels a bit restrictive.
Overall, the Eero Pro 6E is a fantastic choice for users who want a fast, easy-to-manage, and future-ready mesh system — especially in homes with gigabit+ internet and lots of devices.

Set up was probably the easiest of all the routers i have ever set up and sync with my home Ring system just as simple. System promptly updated it's software to the most current version and then linked up to my Echo as a additional mesh router increasing my coverage even more. So I now have a fast, simple and robust 6E mesh network that is future proofed for years to come. Very satisfied and happy so far after a month of use.

Im the go to tech member of the family so everyone comes to me when it comes to tech especially routers ive set up close to 10 different routers and ive got to say this was the easiest set up ever and it works really great. Ive had it on for about a month already no drops in signal, speeds stay consistent throughout the day doesn’t matter on the amount of devices its awesome.

I’ve seen a lot of 4 star reviews that leave no cons. Don’t be fooled by the lack of 5 star reviews, this is a 5 star product.
The units are very fast, and if you are within the 50 foot line of sight, you’ll be getting the rated multigigabit speeds “wired” but wireless through a node.
I’ve been using 3 original Eero WiFi 5 units for the past few years and have had no complaints. The customer service is exceptional, and when I picked up a few extra Eero Pro 5 units, they didn’t come with power adapters (i got them pre-owned) and Eero replaced them free of charge.
Unfortunately now, the standard Eero 6 does not have ethernet ports, only the Pro models do. These are fast, and it was easy to “replace” units one by one, including the gateway, slowly upgrading from WiFi 5 to WiFi 6.
We’re now getting 400mbps downlink and when accessing local servers, full gigabit speeds over hardwired mesh.
However, I don’t recommend this over the 6 Pro if you want the Tri band and you don’t have WiFi 6 devices. I purchased it for link aggregation but I’d have much preferred the tri band with 2 5GHz connections rather than this one in that regard. The 6E model has a 2.4/5/6GHz system. I have one device that support that extra 6GHz band and it’s a phone, so it’s not worth the extra for wireless connectivity.
If you are invested in Zigbee and use Alexa, this system supports up to 150 Zigbee or Thread devices, 50 per node. All in all, excellent system. The 2 wireless nodes apart from the gateway both have 16 port switches and i have 0 drops. The performance difference between wired and wired mesh is negligible, and the convenience of not needing to run ethernet cables is excellent.
Great product. Great customer service.
TL;DR; but the Pro or 6 or 6+ if you don’t need 6GHz or certain niche features.

Upgrade from Orbi system

I swapped out an Orbi system that could barely cover my medium size house. So far really pleased with the performance of the eero. Great speeds, great range and a very simple setup. It's missing some of the super technical advanced options found on some other routers but I realized over the years that my fiddling with those was making things worse, not better. I'm very happy with my decision to switch to eero.

Hands down the easiest and most reliable wifi system on the market. the nodes are backwards compatible. For example i added a wifi 7 outdoor node for my backyard and it connected to my system seamlessly. i have a 1GB fiber connection and my ipad pro tests at 980 MB over wifi when connected to this system. even in the darkest corners of my house, farthest away from an access point i can still get 400MB speed

I have installed more than one hundred of the EERO 6 Pro e devices and have been using EERO products for years. For performance/price ratio there no other better choice specially when you install, manage and maintain hundreds of networks. Easy to install, easy to do custom configurations, reliable. I usually end up stretching the hardware capabilities and I still have the peace of mind. They hardly ever fail. Of course I would like more granularity in the settings and out of band collected network stats but don't forget, this is a consumer grade product, not an enterprise level one. The newer 7 series brings up the much needed outdoor and PoE but for now the 6Pro e does a beautiful job. For the people that look only at signal strength don't be surprised when RF strength doesn't equate throughput. Sometimes RF works against your goals. I use an analogy, you are looking at the night sky and your super sensitive eyes can see a far away star. Can the star see you? Networks are two way streets.

Warp Speed Ahead at Over 1 Gig Up & Down

The speed will blow you away as long as you have the right set up. We had 1 Gig internet service through our previous provider at had over 40 items connected to our network. It would run well but as soon as we upgraded to fiber optic internet and added the eero Pro 6E, we were at warp speed. If you need to mesh network, this is the place to start. It is the easiest way to start a network by far. You simply sit back and allow the system to do its' own work. You basically have to have a cell phone and the system does the rest. We have this 3 pack and cover a house with 4,500 square feet. The download speeds are 1 gig and the upload speeds are 1 gig. This makes life so much easier with multiple people in the house plus friends all streaming at the same time and playing video games over the internet. Definitely worth the purchase although it is a little pricey. Just watch for coupons from Best Buy to knock 10% off like I did!

I’ve had just about every mesh system out there over the past two years including WiFi 6, 6E,and 7, and they work good for awhile then I start getting the dreaded “No Response “ in my Apple HomeKit app or the speed is inconsistent. Since I have installed the eero Pro 6E 3-Pack in my 2,800 sq. Ft. Two story home I’ve had no issues and the speeds are consistent. I have ATT Fiber 1gb and I get 500mbs + both uploads and download when right next to an access point and in the 300’s when 40 ft away. I have 70 devices in total connected and they range from Google and Eufy cameras , Nanoleaf light strips, LIFX and Hue bulbs, Lutron switches and blinds, and various smart plugs. The setup was very easy and quick. I have all my eero’s connected via Ethernet backhaul which helps.

Incredibly easy to install and configure. The coverage is fantastic and the metrics it provides are very useful. What are like best is it works with any generation of error devices. Pre-6, 6,6-e, 7. Build your mesh based on your needs and budget.

I used this system to replace an older mesh system that was no longer being supported. I evaluated performance reviews for numerous mesh systems and concluded that this would more than meet my needs. I need a mesh system to support devices on three different floors.
The installation went smoothly with no glitches. I did have to reconnect all my devices manually to my network to get them to work. It was easy to do and only a slight nuisance.
The system is performing well, particularly with video streaming, and I am not experiencing any buffering. Overall, it's doing the job extremely well.

The Eero mesh wifi system was super easy to install and works great. We've always had problems with gray areas of wifi connectivity in our home, this system solved that problem. And our BestBuy associate that helped us choose this system was great and answered all our questions without hesitation.

I bought these to upgrade from the Eeros 5 and it made a major difference! I have a ring camera in the front and it would struggle to get wifi signal. One of the bedrooms would also struggle to get signal. Now that I purchased the Eero 6e Pro, the signal reaches all the way to the end of my driveway! It’s also easy to setup and it works like a charm. The only negative thing about this product is the price.

Great WiFi routers. The mesh system is nice to have to expand coverage of my WiFi within our house as now WiFi is less touchy in our basement with a unit down there. This system has one of the easiest set up I’ve ever dealt with and would highly recommend. Only negative i could think of are the fact its only got two ports on the back so your main hub will only have a spot to hardwire one device but if you’re like me and have an old router with the capability I just hooked to it to use as an access point to have hardwire multiple devices.

I recently upgraded to the eero mesh Wi-Fi system, and it’s been a game-changer for my home network. The setup was incredibly straightforward, thanks to the intuitive eero app guiding me through each step. Within minutes, I had robust Wi-Fi coverage throughout my entire house, eliminating previous dead zones and buffering issues.

This is the first time I've ever written a review about a router. For good reason, in the past, most of them have been pretty inconsistent, but surprisingly, the good reviews about this product has held true It simply works, out of the box. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up and how quickly established consistent Connection even though we have a two story home. (1600 sq feet). We also have a room that is in the basement and it has no problem practicing it as well. I should know that we bought two, one as a main and another for the "mesh."
