Customers are pleased with the ease of use, coverage, and setup of the Pro Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System. Many appreciate the improved range, performance, and signal strength, resulting in a better overall experience. However, some customers find the price to be expensive, and a few have noted that the units can get warm. While some buffering issues were reported previously, the system largely resolves these problems for most users.

Great coverage but stone/stucco Homes prove a challenge to get a 5 star rating per coverage for WiFi outside the home (driveway, back patio, etc). We have a 2 story home and 3400 sq feet. Inside the house is great! Outside the house not so much. I’ll need to get an exterior extender for coverage in the Garage. Otherwise, super fast speeds and great indoor coverage.

Ok, I RARELY write reviews b/c I EXPECT to get my money’s worth. After having many different types of routers with and without extenders, I purchased an Almond 3 system from Amazon. Reviews were good and I liked that each unit (3)had a touchscreen display with status/local outside temps and other neat little options. Tech support was good. Here’s the problem: I had to use tech support....a lot. I had to refresh and do firmware updates...a lot. One thing I dislike is unplugging/replugging as a reset and this was frequent. I returned the system (thank Amazon) after using for a year. I went to Best Buy and got very helpful advice from folks who had used the new Linksys system (that’s what I was after) and the Google system. Both gentlemen I spoke to recommended Eero based on THEIR experience and feedback from customers. I’ve had this system over a year. SIMPLE setup, better coverage (5400 sq ft) and I’ve NEVER had to reset. The app is nice, and actually useful, to check status and see what devices are connected. We have 4 4K TVs, a big time “gamer”, 4-5 phones, 2-3 laptops, and multiple smart devices (Echos x 5, Kevo, Ring, Kasa), constantly in use and it handles everything without a hitch (cable high speed internet). The speed tests I run are always in top 80th percentile. Bottom line is I don’t even have to think about the Eero system. It just keeps doing its job. Thank you Eero, and big thank you to Best Buy for an incredible recommendation.

With this router, I no longer have dead spots inside of my split-foyer home (1800 sq ft). I'll eventually buy a beacon or two for more coverage outside. I haven't experienced any lost connections with any of my devices either. I also like that this router auto updates.
Super easy to set up...download the app, follow the instructions on screen, and that's it.
I also bought an eero system with 2 beacons for church. We put one of the beacons in our fellowship hall (about 75 yards away from the base) to get wifi out there and it worked. I would definitely recommend this system for anybody who is wanting better wifi coverage in their home/church/business.

I have been using eero in every new home setup I have done. They are super easy to setup, do not need to be rebooted, and clients never complain about their WiFi. It is great not having to hard wire every which one of them.

Have the whole system with 3 others just like this plus one Beacon. Bought this as an add-on. Pricier than I would have liked to spend but it’s the price we pay nowadays I guess. Works great as a wireless pod or wired with Ethernet.

This replaced a older mesh system. The product was easy to install but you must track down all the items you have connected to the existing network, I had way more than expected. The time consuming part of the installation was connecting all the existing devices to the new system. Once installed, has worked great. Excellent speeds and great coverage. This was installed in a two story house about 2,000 sq. ft.

4.5! Ease of use, consistent speeds, and awesome look. There's some weird stuff like how it stays connected to an eero much further away but it has been pretty consistent in terms of internet speed the last 30 days. It also covers my entire house and some more (3400 sq. ft). The setup was super simple (less than 10 minutes for the whole house) and it looks so stylish, like an Apple product. Highly recommended!

I have had the Eero system - 3 units placed throughout my multi-level home. I changed internet providers and where the new service came into the house. This required another Eero to plug the main cable into. They work well, giving me good coverage all over my home. I like the notifications I get when a device tries to join my private network and the usage report at the end of the week.

In July 2017, thanks to a visit to our local Best Buy store, we upgraded to the remarkable, easy to install, eero - AC Whole Home Wi-Fi System (2-pack) - White ... (1st Gen). Over the years, it has proven to be rock solid (knock on wood). Coverage in our 2,300 sq foot two story home has been good, which was a primary motivator for that upgrade. However, one room was weak (furthest away from the primary eero Router). To solve this problem we researched adding a third eero Router. In early March 2021, we selected/purchased this eero - AC Tri-band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 Router - White ... (2nd Gen) because:
1. Customer Service assured us it is backward compatible with the 1st Gen units.
2. Customer Reviews seemed mostly very positive.
3. Customer Service assured us that the installation would be fast/simple, and the network would remain rock solid.
Like we always do on significant purchases at Best Buy, we added the (4 year) product replacement extended warranty ...
Installation. Fairly fast, fairly simple.
Instead of adding this new 2nd Gen unit as an extension to the 1st Gen units, Customer Service firmly advised us to install this new unit as the main Router (connected to the Modem), and have the old main unit become an extension unit on the network.
With Customer Service (willingly/patiently!) on the phone, adding the new 2nd Gen unit to the network was straightforward, and (by running speedtest in the area with the weak signal), we optimized the new location for the third unit (which interestingly was NOT the closest location to that weak area ... but was somewhat closer to the main Router).
Bottom Line Results. Two thumbs up.
1. "Weak signal in one area" problem solved.
2. The eero app was upgraded. They moved the speed test history ....
Customer Service can show you how to find it (the activity symbol).
3. The Wi-Fi network remains rock solid (knock on wood).
4. The 2nd Gen unit does indeed seem backward compatible with the 1st Gen units.
5. We continue to be delighted with our eero mesh Wi-Fi network ... and delighted with Best Buy.
We routinely recommend both to our friends.
6. Yes, the price seems high ... but in this case it yields stability, quality, reliability, and peace of mind.
To quote eero in the "About eero" section of the eero app: "Finally, wifi that always works."

Eero was new to me, associate pursuaded me and it was on sale. We are cutting the cord so wanted large coverage and high data stability.(added netgear cable modem) Very easy to set up using the downloaded app. App is very useful. We set up midlevel, basement and master. Getting 300mbps download and 12 upload via wifi (have comcast blast internet) I went in going to get another netgear router but I also highly recommend this Eero.

I purchased this unit in hopes that it would be more reliable than the Orbi that I had continual drop out issues.
I found this mesh system to be very easy to set up, had very good distance reach in my 3 story (includes lower level) home.
We have had no connectivity issue or drop out issue since beginning, one month ago.
I also like the phone app. It provides a lot of information on all units connected by wifi or ethernet.

I hooked this up to my existing Verizon system for faster WiFi. It is soooo easy to set up and the app does all the work. Graphics walk you through set up. A 7 year old could do it, not like old style where you enter it address for router. Soon all routers will use app for security. This was probably overkill for my 1 bedroom apt but my WiFi is now buttery fast.
My ihome devices work better than ever with this as you have one network name for all 3 speed bands. My light switches are 2.4 ghz but most other thing seems hook up at faster 5.2 and 5.8. Old routers were like separate routers for each ghz but this uses fastest connection per device and connects behind the scenes for ease of use.
A few days ago I was notified that this system self updated its firmware.
I am very happy with this purchase, even though wifi6 protocol is out now, 1gig speeds are very expensive. I upgraded to 400/400 and for my needs that is super fast.
Just FYI, all units are same and capable of being their own router alone. The one you hook up as main is connected with cat5 cable and will be fastest. Others will only be the speed the first one is able to output. I usually get around 250mb in bedroom. I used 2nd unit Ethernet to plug in my MacBook Pro. It is wifi4 so only gets around 54mb WiFi, but Ethernet on second unit s same as WiFi signal it gets from base unit so now my laptop connects much faster.
I purchased this on sale for $300. Usually retailers for $500, but may be marked down forever with new WiFi 6 ax protocol. Worth the money!

Extended WIFI to a remote guesthouse

We have a guest house next door and where my husband will have a room for an office/library/soccer viewing sanctuary. Living on a rural road, we only have the option of wifi through a Frontier phone line and didn't want to pay for two lines. The guesthouse is about 200 ft from the main house with a couple of outbuildings in between, we were hoping to find some way to extend the signal, and so far the Eero Tribands have solved the problem. Since the pumphouse is 90 feet from the base, the guys at Best Buy were unsure whether the signal would travel linearly for that distance. I decided to give it a try, with a set of two, that I could return if it didn't work. It took a bit of trial and error and I thought we would need to build a birdhouse with a power source to make it work, one foot seemed to make all the difference. But once the two finally synced, getting to the shop and then the guesthouse with another two units was easy as they are only 50 feet apart. The app installed on my phone lets me control each unit separately, I can see what is logged into each location. While setting up and testing locations, I utilized every device we own, and I forgot to go back and log all them off. I just checked the app and was amazed by how many devices two retired people could have going at once. 4 laptops, 2 cell phones, 2 Tv's, 2 Kindles, and one PC that will be wired. We have a much better wifi signal now, not only in the house, the full distance and in surrounding yard than we did before. The eeros units do get quite warm, and for the price worried how long they will last. At this point, we have invested the equivalent cost of 6 months for a second landline.

We moved into a home that is 4200 sq feet with 3 floors, and knew we needed a strong mesh Wi-Fi. There are a lot of great mesh brands out there, and all seem to have great reviews. But we settled on eero mainly because I liked the sleek look.
We've had it for about 4 months now and have been very happy with it. We put one eero downstairs, and two on the second floor (on opposite sides). The whole house has coverage and we don't seem to have any dead spots.
When we first had the system, we noticed some devices were not connecting to the nearest eero. But it seemed to learn as now they all seem to connect to the eero you would expect them to. We don't get super fast speeds using Wi-Fi compared to our internet speed (1G), but they are fast enough for our needs. We typically get 100-200M on our devices.
The app is easy to use as well. It alerts you whenever a new device connects to the network. This system is expensive but it's worth it if you have a larger home.

Initially I was skeptical about the cost of this mesh router BUT so glad I got it! I have many smart devices and they can only work as well as the WiFi signal strength. I was having issues with lost connectivity, delays in processing and the former NetGear router constantly crashing. The EeroPro mesh router solved all these issues. It self assigns each device to the appropriate band width and channel therein of the needed band width. There are multiple channels built into each band width so that overloading is no longer an issue. In fact, the EeroPro is built with 2.4, 5 and 5.8 GHz band widths so it’s already adapted for the next thing to come in WiFi routers.
You will still need a high quality modem to connect to the EeroPro base unit, plugging into one of the 2 Ethernet ports of the base unit. I have my second of the three EeroPro units in my great room and the third EeroPro in my upstairs study.
Now I have complete WiFi reception throughout my large home and the yard too. Each EeroPro has 2 Ethernet ports to accommodate several smart device hubs. Plus, as I add more smart devices I can add more EeroPro units and they will automatically digitally communicate and integrate with each other.
The EeroPro is easy to set up. It has great security software built into it and the app is responsive.

I had purchased a Orbi mesh system a few years ago and was never really happy with it. About a month ago i just could not get the system to work right. Found out the main Orbi router was the issue. The two satellite Orbi’s were fine but you need the main Orbi router to work for the whole system to work. Went to Best Buy to buy a new main Orbi router and it was going to be like $300. After talking with the manager he sold me on just getting a whole new eero system. I got it on sale for $499. My goodness am i glad i spent the extra $200 and got a new system. The eero setup was beyond easy and it works perfect. What i like is any of the 3 routers that come with it can be your main router. There isn’t a main one and then different “satellite” routers like the Orbi has. And if 3 of these aren’t enough for your needs they sell additional ones in single boxes. For my 2300 sf house 3 has been plenty to include coverage outside for all my Ring cameras around the house. Also love the app setup and ability to cutoff the internet to any device attached. The kids want to smart off, BAM...access the app and hit pause on whatever device and the attitudes cease (after whining a few minutes). So overall i would highly recommend eero for your mesh setup.
