You don't need this but you'll love it.

Me and my son are constantly relaying pointless messages to each other with them. Sound quality is good and clear and the range is decent for the price. This was a nostalgic purchase for me as I immediately recalled having the super Mario bros. 3 walkies as a kid and doing the same with my father. But not everyone is me and there is no real practical reason for buying these but they're cool and most of the time that's enough.

Cute birthday gift
