What an incredible bargain these speakers are. I purchased these as my front L/R speakers but was so impressed I decided to move those to my rear surround position and purchased the ELAC UNI-FI UF5's (floor standing speakers) for my front L/R and the UB5's (book shelf speakers) my L/R surrounds. I have been blown away by the sound from these speakers. I plan on purchasing the UC5 center speaker next. These Andrew Jones designed speakers sound spectacular!

Firs thing, I don't consider myself an audiophoile, that being said, these speakers sound amazing. I bought the Sony core series initlally and while those were great speakers for the money, once I got the ELACs home and put on the same scene in Thor: Ragnorak on both sets, the ELACs just rose above in every possible way, quality, level, detail. These speakers are rated as the absolute best for money and they definitely earned that title.

I got this speakers based on the online reviews posted by so many people excited about these and the UNI FI series. Initially I had been to bestbuy Magnolia to hear them and I was truly impressed with the clarity, soundstage and bass. Got them during the black Friday sale for $150 with Onkyo tx 676 receiver. After initial setup I was disappointed with the sound from my speaker and receiver setup. Configured them as 2.1 channel with my receiver with no additional subwoofer. But all that changed when I changed within a couple of days. The speakers started sounding so lively and punchy. I made a couple of changes in the receiver settings. But I think these speakers don't initially sound good but after a couple of days these ROCK all forms of music and TV. The details of instrument play, position of the vocals all sound so clear and lively. Even there is ample thunderous bass. Overall ..this is one is a great pair at this price.

I’ve been updating my home theater to switch over to Atmos. So at first, I tried the Sony core bookshelves as the front channels. Totally disappointing debacle. They are horrible and not suited to a 25’ x 25’ L-shaped living area. I initially ordered Klipsch 51m’s to replace them, but cancelled them when I saw these on sale. So glad I did! These Sounded great as soon as they were hooked up. The most amazing thing is the design. With these blasting loud, with room vibrating bass, THE CABINET IS BARELY VIBRATING if you touch the sides!!! All the sound is sent out into the room. Making these perfect medium sized room speakers. They almost sound like different speakers at different times, like when they’re loud or at low volume. They are completely neutral at times, but when there’s colored effects, they become colored and make colored content more colored. They took a few days to burn in, and sound even better now. These are some of the best speakers I’ve ever heard. The only possible downside is they actually make too much bass! They moved so much air in conjunction with the sub that you could feel it 15 feet away. They still make a ton of bass with my crossover set to 90hz. Unbelievable! If you are going for bass without a sub, this is the way to go. And still every bell, ding, horn, guitar and echo sounds perfect. For movies, they make surround sound all by themselves. Great imaging and room filling sound. Get these. You will not regret it.

Obviously, these are not the best speakers I have owned among DCM Time Windows, Rodgers LS35A and so forth, but they are a fine pair of speakers. Looked hard and long at reviews and then made my decision. Not disappointed at all. Very transparent with a full sound for their size. They fill the room with sound that they are in easily and offer a wonderful balanced sound. But all this for the price that I paid (about $150) is a steal. Upgraded from small Polk bookshelf speakers. Will not look back.

Excellent speaker with great clarity and detail and wide sound stage and depth. Bass is tight and well-defined and not boomy.

Some of the best sounding speakers that I have ever heard. Full of life with a lot of high end sound and enough bass without being overbearing. Highly recommended.

Replaced 30 year old Technic 15" speaker set. They were too big for where they are placed now. These are perfect and sound very good.

This is my second pair of ELAC Debut speakers--I purchased the previous version of these last year and was so impressed that I got this second set for another room. I use these as part of home theater system, though I think these almost sound good enough to stand on their own in a high end 2 channel hi-fi system. Though speakers come in many forms and are very much a question of personal taste- give these a listen. You may find ( as I did) that it will take speakers costing considerably more to beat the sonic qualities of these.

Bought these speakers on sale and have been very happy with them. They can get pretty loud too with minimal distortion! They do lack a little bit of bass but this is easily remedied with a subwoofer. They are very good for their price range and I would reccomend them. The front firing port is great if you need them closer to a wall too! The build quality of the speakers seems pretty good too-- they seem fairly durable.

Everyone on line has reviewed and loved these speakers. I figured I would give them a try. For the price you can't go wrong. They sound good and have decent bass. I am using a 3oo watt per channel amp. The speakers put out.

I love these speakers. I loved the first Debut speakers, which punch far above their weight, and these are even better. I’m using these as desktop speakers for my work-from-home desk, and while I know they aren’t the absolute top end of audiophile speakers, ask desktop/bookshelf speakers, the amount of money you’d have to spend to get noticeably improved results would have to be enormous. Best value in home audio, IMO.

The speaker sound absolutely incredible for the price. Better than many speakers that cost hundreds of dollars more. Initially I was not too impressed but after several days they seemed to break-in and the Sound Stage has really widened. Andrew Jones you've done it again.
