Masterpiece. Better than expected even with all the unrealistic expectations. The game is hard, and a lot of the bosses designs can be frustrating, but the fulfillment found in beating the challenge is something that only fromsoftware can execute at this level. 10/10

I’m over a 100 hours in and it feels like I’ve barely played. One of the best open world games I’ve ever played and one of the best games I’ve ever played. The only FromSoft game I’ve played was DS3 and I just dabbled. It was fun but it wasn’t really my thing. But my buddy got me to buy Elden Ring and I didn’t think I’d enjoy it at all. But it is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I’ve never written a review on a game I’ve bought. But this game is honestly so good I couldn’t not recommend it. Once you get past the learning curve it is truly great. So rewarding. It’s set the new standard for open world games in my opinion. 10/10

Elden ring is single-handedly the best game I’ve ever played. The open world is awesome. Worth the $60! It also came right on time no delays.

If you like souls games, youll love this one. Im a huge fan of the first dark souls game and this reminds me of that but more refined. Tons of hours to play and very replay able with different builds to try out. Tons of exploration, crafting, leveling up, everything you want in a rpg. Highly recommend and worth every penny.

I have been a gamer for over 25 years and this is the only game where I have been playing over 12 hours a day and not once I got bored. This game is very addictive and my wife is lonely because of it. Yes, the game is hard but once you level up and learn the controls it gets a little easier. The world is massive and the graphics are good. I'm over 50 hours in and I'm not even close to beating it. This is game of the year for sure. I hope they add dlc.

Pre-ordered through Best Buy and received the steelcase and the game is a perfect action-adventure RPG. Tough but very fair. Programmers made every effort to reward exploration and strategy. A game designed this well should be looked upon by the industry as the new standard in gaming! Best Buy offered pickup and all went seamless. Best place to pre-order games. (In game item was delivered via email and the code worked perfectly.)

Easily one of the best FromSoftware games. But buyers beware - while you can do much more at the start, this is not an easy game if you haven't played soulsbourne games before. It could be a good entry point into the soulsborne games, but not for the faint of heart. Expect to die a lot. If you can't get past a certain enemy or boss, learn the movesets and try a different approach or try going somewhere else in the world. The world is beautiful and asking to be explored. Fans of the Dark Souls series or Bloodborne and Sekiro will enjoy.

FROM Software has shown how open world games should be done in creating yet another masterpiece. Not since the legend of Zelda breath of the wild has an open world video game inspired curiosity and wonderment like this. You never know what you will see next and the map keeps going and going. Entire massive areas could be skipped if you aren’t careful. Scouring the map is rewarded as there is an abundance of content unlike any other game. Everything is immaculate: the level design, the enemy design, the art, the music, the feel of combat. There are a million ways to play with different weapons, armor sets, magical abilities. You really make this game your own, and everybody’s experience will be a little different. George RR Martin’s world building creates an engaging story with history that can be felt. When you play this game, you are transported into his and Miyazaki’s imagination, and can easily be lost for hours. Elden ring is loaded to the brim with secrets and discovery that will make you feel more rewarded than any other video game. The learning curve is steep but breaking through that difficulty or frustration is oh so satisfying. While still very challenging, this game is more accessible than other Souls like games in that you don’t have to face every enemy at a given time. You can simply explore elsewhere and come back even stronger and easily whup the foul beast that was giving you trouble earlier. The plenitude of magic in this game also provides an easier route to tackling some of the more difficult foes in the game. If you’re even slightly curious, give this game a shot because there’s nothing else like it.

I didnt think FromSoft could top Bloodborne (Lore/Combat) or Demon Souls Remake (Graphics), but they did it with Elden Ring. I will admit the framerate can be jumpy at times but if you can just look past that its an amazing experience. I am 200 hrs into the game and i cant stop playing it. All i want to do is explore. Exploring rather than just rushing through has paid huge dividends. I highly recommend this game. For those new to the Souls series its a great entry point. For those who love Souls games you will love this as well.

Epic game. Challenging but once you get hours in you will find a character build thst works. Beautiful graphics, huge story and world.

I've played every Souls game from Demon's Souls to Sekiro. So seeing them go open world for Elden Ring had me beyond hyped. I haven't had this much fun with a game since Zelda Breath of the Wild. The exploration and discovery is what makes this game amazing. It doesn't hold your hand constantly telling you where to go with map markers all over the screen. I highly recommend this even for first time Souls players. It's not a perfect game, but its definitely my game of the year so far.

Welcome to the beautiful, open world Souls game you've always dreamed of. Bought a copy for myself, and one for a friend; and this game worth every penny. Outstanding visuals; tight gameplay; everything you could ask for. The only questionable thing is the frame rate (at launch, hovers around 40-50 in performance mode) -- But that is something the developers have acknowledged and working on. For experienced players and new players alike, this is the one to dig your teeth into.

This game is one of the the most frustrating experiences of my gaming life. It is beautiful, has a great story, and great gameplay. It’s difficulty makes it inaccessible to the average gamer, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

I never leave reviews but I got an email asking for one and want to make an exception here. In my eyes this may be the best open-world game ever made. If Dark Souls/Sekiro/Bloodborne was your thing, you already know you want this. It can get difficult at times so if you hate having to die a lot to learn and adapt; don't even bother buying. That's the entire appeal of this game.
