And being able to detach into a hand held cleaner is great for taking out to the car. The battery lasts well enough for spot cleaning and to clean a room thoroughly. But don't expect to clean an entire home. And really, I wouldn't want to see how heavy a battery would be needed for that anyway.

Dissapointing manufacturing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We were looking forward to this item because although we did not expect it to be as good as a plugged in larger unit, we expected the minimum performance of our old wireless vacuum with a longer running battery and perhaps a bit stronger suction. The vacuum unfortunately was not well tested prior to being shipped out. The hose that connects from the bottom wide brush to the upper canister, continually disconnects. Unfortunately because it is behind the vacuum you do not notice it until the machine starts spewing out debris that you are trying to pick up. Several attempts to get the hose to stay in place have not worked, a message sent to the manufacturer went unanswered. We had a trip after we purchased it and it was too late to return it after we returned and tested the product. Very disappointing on a machine that could have been a good product.
