I had been using a Dyson for almost 10 years and I didn't want to spend the money on another. This is a great alternative. It has the feature of untangling the floor brush with a press of a button and that was the selling point for me. I have two cats and this vacuum does a great job picking up the hair. The attachment hose is a good length, but I wish the cord was longer. I also wish the canister was a bit bigger, but then the vacuum might be heavier and I do like the weight. I am not a huge fan of the corner attachment. While it is nice for corners, it doesn't work the best on flat surfaces and I have to switch attachments to do the couch cushions and then the pillows. It doesn't stay flat very well. I may look into another attachment for the stairs also. It has a canister, which i like, but I find it doesn't empty very easily. I have to use my hand to pull the stuff out and I would prefer not to do that.

Works great! easy to use and light weight. I would recommend highly.. Its hard to choose from such a large selection. Always been a fan of the Electrolux container vacuum but didn't want to spend that much. This one does the trick without the big price tag.

Our new home has about 2000 SF of carpet and this vacuum takes charge of it. It is a little heavy and hard to maneuver sometimes because it has such good suction. It lacks a little bit in attachments and I still find myself reaching for our canister vacuum to clean pet hair off the couch and for doing our hardwoods. But this vacuum is great for the carpets and very easy to empty. Kind of wish it had a cord rewind system as I hate rolling up the cord every time I use it. But a minor complaint overall.

We researched vacuums for several weeks before purchasing this one, and I am so happy we decided on the Electrolux. It is quiet, light-weight, easy to maneuver, and works great on our hardwoods, carpet, and couch. We owned a Bissell pet vacuum before this purchase, and the Electrolux is 10x better at cleaning up the pet hair. The only thing that was slightly difficult was getting used to opening and reattaching the dirt container. Overall, a great vacuum!!

For the most part I am happy with this vacuum. It has good suction, an easy to use wand, sleek, and light weight. I like being able to adjust the floor height although doesn't clean bare floor as well as I hoped. My house is only 1700 square feet and the cord is not long enough to get to the back of a 19' room. The attachments do not work, there is no edge suction at all, and for the price it really should have a headlight. I operate a daycare out of my home and have to vacuum frequently. It seems to work well....jury still out on the hair remover feature. A little nervous it will ruin the bristles on the roller brush. Next time Electrolux has a vacuum to test bring it to me.... I can really test it with my daycare.

Nice weight and cleaning is just as expected. Do not spend your hard-earned money on the more expensive brands. They are junk.

Well made and easy to take apart/clean. This vacuum has excellent cleaning power, and does a great job for a vacuum at this price point. I recommend this vacuum for anyone who has a lot of flat surfaces (floor space) in their home, and wants a sturdy cleaning machine to pick up crumbs, dirt, hair, and other... Cleans carpet very well.

We bought this vacuum after reading reviews on various sites, including CNET, and couldn't be happier with it. It has great suction, is relatively quiet, and easy to maneuver. I'm amazed at how much it picks up - we just finished a renovation, and it's been great at picking up the dust that keeps settling out. We live in a condo, so no stairs to deal with, but like the versatility as it does a great job on carpets and bare floors. I love the detachable wand, you can use it short or telescoping so it reaches everywhere. It's easy to empty and clean the filter, too. We like the looks, too. It's mostly plastic, but feels solid, not cheap. Fairly compact and easy to store. All in all, a great product for a great price compared to its competition.

It is not a heavy vacuum. It picks up well but It is hard to.push on high pile carpet! It is easy to empty!

I've owned almost every major brand of vacuum over the years, including Kirby, and I think this is the best one I've had the pleasure of using! It's very quiet, and has amazing suction-pet hair comes right out of my carpets. And it's so lightweight! I love the design of the handle lift off feature-makes using the hose extension very easy and comfortable. And the dust bin is easy to empty, too. I'm very pleased!

Incredible vacuum for the price! Would have given it 5 of 5 but the attachment mounts are a bit weak and have already broken. Other than that I couldn't be happier with it.

this sweeper is so powerful. I can't figure out how to vacuum a rug, because the suction is so strong. I initially had to empty the canister after every room, because it did such a better job than my previous sweeper.

Love Love love my Electrolux. It so lightweight and compact. It get the job done quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone who wants somnething small and lightweight yet powerful

Read lots of reviews before purchasing this. Love the fact that its bagless. The vacuume is lightweight and not cumbersome. The cord is short so have to move it around to different outlets while trying to vacuum more than one room. Does a good job of picking up debris.

Overall a great vacuum at a great price. After doing some research on cnet, where I get my reviews for items I may not be familiar with, I decided to purchase the Electrolux. Not being a vacuum aficionado, I first searched out the bigger name brands and stumbled upon a review for this model. There are more bigger-named brands out there that cost twice as much, but this received sterling reviews and I could not be happier with the purchase. With 2 dogs and 2 cats in the house, this picks up hair and dirt like you wouldn't believe. I highly recommend this Electrolux if you're in the market for a new vacuum. Only downside, it was hard to find (at least in the greater Houston-area), and you may have to have it shipped to your house or store.

This unit is a good machine. very happy with its performance. I have hardwood floors, area rugs and 4 pets! works well...but the dust collector is too small (my fault for having too much hair) and the height of the unit where the brush is held is a bit tall and does not fit under some furnishings. Other than that it is great!

Vacuum has excellent suction and lightweight to carry throughout the house.

I love how well this vaccuum works on all types of surfaces. The hose and accessories are right at my fingertips and it's a breeze to switch between the upright vaccuuming and the attachments. This is my first bagless vaccuum, so I wasn't really aware of what a mess it can be to empty the bin. Cleaning the bin and in-spout was an even messier job. But I don't think it's any more difficult than other bagless vaccuum -- it's just something that's messy. The hinged attachment for corners doesn't work so well. I see there's a standard hose attachment available through the manufacturer. Will probably buy that soon.
