The older version had a ball design which made it more flexible and could turn easier. The button to adjust it to carpet height is to hard to push...

Five years of use and I'll be very happy with this vacuum. Like best its light weight and ease of use. Agree with another reviewer: wish there were more tools. The multipurpose tool is very clever, though a dedicated crevice tool would be better for cleaning the crannies. Like the extra extension tube for cleaning cobwebs from ceiling corners. Suction good, not excellent. Not the best at sweeping pet fur. Very easy to empty the dust catcher. Got for an excellent sale price so think it is money well spent.

Worked very well. Then less than a year later it broke. Dont buy.

It is an o.k. Vacuum if you don't have that much to clean,but is very heavy to push and doesn't pick up that much dirt.

The day after I bought this product the light goes out on it.

This vacuum is a power house. It makes you feel bad after you vacuum for the first time and you see how much "stuff" it picks up. I've had it for 2 months and it is working great. The biggest issue for me is that the attachments are not really useful. The hand brush works, but it's too soft. I tried ordering a floor and stair attachment from Electrolux about 4 weeks ago. They lost my order, charged my paypal account and now I have a "case" opened with them to figure out what happened. They admit that they had a website issue that morning... Called again today and their 800 number says "corporate" is looking at the case... why not just send the 2 parts and call it a day. I wish that Bestbuy carried the attachments as this would have been a non issue.

I bought this vacuum a few months ago and I'm still bragging about it. I live in an apartment where many people have lived before me. I can vacuum a room once and it looks great. I vacuum the next day expecting to pick up nothing and I'm truly amazed by what ends up in the canister. This vacuum has the suction to pull up all the dust and dirt ground into the carpet and beyond. The cord is long enough that I only have to change plugs when I change rooms. The hose will stretch up 14 stairs without extending the wand. It is so nice to not have to drag it up the stairs as I go. In comparison to my old vacuum it is super light weight. I really like the sturdy, extendable wand. I can vacuum the ceiling and other places up high with out it flopping around. We all have long hair in my house, so the brush roll clean technology is what sold this vacuum for me. It is so nice to be able to clean the brush roll with a tap of my toe rather than finding the scissors and trying to cut, pull, and yank the hair out. The dust bin dumps out with a push of a button and I don't have to get my hands dirty. It maneuvers great, and with the extendable wand I don't have to bend and stoop to get in nooks and crannies. My one and only complaint about this vacuum is that I wish it had more attachments. The little brush and versa tool work just fine for most things but not every thing. With that being said, I have managed to get by with what I have, so it could be worse. Long story short, I love my vacuum and I would definitely pick this one again. I frequently recommend this vacuum to anyone who will listen.

I was looking for a decent vacuum for a reasonable price and decided on this. I love it so far! I have a rainbow and this takes the cake! It picks up so much more dirt! I thought my rainbow did great until I seen what this picks up that the rainbow missed. No comparison. I wanted a more convenient vacuum than the rainbow cause it's heavy and I have to fill the canister with water. I couldn't be happier with it! I'd recommend this to anyone. The attachments are wonderful and I love the self bristle clean technology. It really does what it says! I've never used a dyson or Hoover but I can't imagine them being any better than this. Plus it assembles in less than a minute and it's ready to go. Easy to empty canister is great. I believe my most favorite feature is the bare floor part. It turns off the bristles and picks up EVERYTHING! Even cat litter! Then it's one switch and it's ready to go back to carpet. You won't be disappointed by this vacuum

The vac was a little expensive for the quality. Poor quality. Seemed to vacuum great till the bag less container was completely filled in less than 5 min with a fairly clean carpet already. Started to used the hose attachment and a few min later the hose snapped from the hose connector on the bottom of the vac. Horrible vac. Do not buy.

Though it might look very futuristic, this vacuum performs well in a house with kids and pets. It has great suction. The parts are easy to use and the canister is easier to dump then any other bagless I have bought. The floor adjustments are a little hard to change, but the wand is great for high spaces. I also like the washable filter. I have not gotten to try the self cleaning brush, but I look forward to it. That is how I broke the last two vacuums that I have owned.

I bought this vacuum without much thought. My vacuum broke, this said HEPA, had the brush roll cleaning, and it was on sale. I made an *excellent* decision. I used it on outdoor rugs (perfect), my indoor carpeting (fluffed it and looks like new), a small shag rug (hard to push the vacuum, but worked great), and even the hardwood floors (on lowest setting). The only thing I don't like is how close the release is on the canister to empty it out. My hand was all dusty and i had to get closer to the trash to prevent a bunch of dust and dirt flying. Yuck. I still recommended it to everyone at work! It's awesome!

I just replaced my 5 year old Eureka Airspeed which was good but so much hair got caught up in the brush roll that it stopped spinning and it significantly reduced the suction. The reason why I chose this model is I found out that Electrolux is actually the parent company of Eureka and it maintained a lot of the same technology of the "airspeed" feature which I liked but it also included the brushroll cleaner feature which would have solved all my problems in my old Eureka. I just bought it yesterday and used it last night and one round of vacuuming about 1,000 square feet of carpet filled up the entire dustbin. I'm really shocked at how much dirt I was leaving behind with my previous vacuum. If it maintains this efficiency it will maintain a 5 star. I will see about the build quality and update my review in a few months but so far, it seems very sturdy and it feels good and comfortable on the hand grips. It's not too heavy either which I like. I honestly don't understand why people bother buying Dysons because I can't imagine them cleaning much more than what I just cleaned yesterday and for about double or triple the price. Dyson really rides off of the aesthetic European design. It's like people who buy a Mercedes for the flash but know deep down a Toyota is better lol.

That vacuum is no good after one year one sucking pointe

I have 2 long-haired dogs. So I bought this for the brushroll clean features. I was even willing to overlook a few other imperfections to avoid spending 30 minutes cleaning the brushroll almost every time I vacuumed. Here are my pros and cons: Pros Very good suction pulled a lot of dirt out of my carpet that my other vacuum didn't Did a very job of cleaning crumbs around kitchen cabinet edges and fit under the edges of the cabinets easily Did a good job of cleaning hardwood floors. It is also easy to switch from carpet to hard floor setting. Cons Brushroll clean didn't work as well as advertised. There was still dog hair & dust on on the roller after using the brushroll clean several times. Dirt container is too small and when you empty the dirt container, the dirt and dog hair doesn't fall out the bottom. I had to pull it out, and had to use a kitchen utensil to get some of the hair out when I waited to long to empty the container. The entire vacuum seems to lightweight, like cheap plastic. When I carefully laid the vacuum back on the carpet to see if the brushroll clean worked, one of the attachment holders broke off. I have short carpet. The best result was the lowest setting, but it was very hard to push on this setting. Cleaning path isn't very wide.

I purchased this online and had it shipped when on sale. I was looking for this specific vacuum after my research. I used my dyson for 4 years and it was ok, but when the Electrolux arrived I ran the new one after the Dyson and filled up the cup in 2 rooms. Its allot of vacuum for the money.

Good, light weight compared to our previous upright. Short extension cord is only draw back. We have a dog, so it's actually relatively nice to see what all we are collecting. Powerful and does a good job of picking up dirt, hair, etc.

In stores, I tried the Electrolux, Dyson, Shark, hoover platinum, Eureka smart vac, sears something, and Oreck brands. I spent about 1 1/2 hours in the best buy alone. I vacuumed the same dirt (emptied from a demo vacuum) on the best buy carpet multiple times (used the lowest height setting ) comparing the dyson, shark, and electrolux -- the electrolux won CLEARLY. Got a great deal pricematching and had a patient and helpful salesman. The electrolux does not tip like the shark and picked up better on the industrial low pile carpeting than either the dyson or the shark. It is lightweight, but that means I guess the cord and tools are little shorter. I might give the Electrolux Nimble a second look, because it has has a longer cord and hose. However my `10 year old can carry the 15 lb precision vacuum up and down the stairs and figured how to use it and the tools in a snap. It has a better edge clean than the dyson and a wider path than the shark. It does not tip when you use the tools like the shark. I am very careful shopper and am happy with the vacuum. I will say the tool hose is a little tight feeling and somewhat annoying when dusting my large piano, but has great suction. I would still buy this vacuum over the others. It feels Solid and cleans well. I do think the "cyclonic" bagless vacuums are all fairly similar, do a decent job, and many have a 5 year warranty.
