By far from making a switch over from my logitech webcam to this one my chat instantly noticed a significant difference in quality and field of view from using this camera the quality is out of this world honestly from such a decent 100 range price point it gives your stream and or your zoom or video calls a different aspect i highly recommend it to new streamer trying to figure out what webcam to get also the interface download to change the settings are pretty easy to download and navigate.

The webcam that is built into my laptop failed and now it sounds like I'm underwater and the camera quality was very low. Now that I have this, my audio is super clear and the image looks pretty good. This camera has a downloadable software that you can use to adjust the image. I found that you get the nicest image by turning Noise Reduction to auto. I uploaded a screenshot of my current camera settings. I use this primarily for Zoom and it's plug and play. Just note that you cannot have the El Gato Camera software at the same time you're trying to use Zoom. In addition to to basic uses, the software can record and take stills. Bottom Line, I would recommend to others.

TLDR: I run the IT department for the company I work for and I've been ordering these for my coworkers and execs. One of opted for the Sony Brio. Guess which one had the worst auto white balancing and exposure issues. Physical: It's a big boy compared to the Sony Brio, but it does some with a piece of plastic to cover the lens for privacy. Software: Elgato software dumps on Logitech by miles. I've always used Logitech, but they take the L here. Camera hub lets you manually change almost every aspect from contrast, shutter speed, iso, white balance, and many more. The auto function is okay, but still much better than the brio Video quality: It's superb. Best on the market right now besides running a DSLR setup at nearly quadrupole the cost. You get a full 1080 60fps and you will notice it right away. Sony sensor + great software is potent combination. Handles low light well and the colors always look natural. Final thoughts: Wish it used USB-C instead of USB 3.0 as I use this primarily for my work Zoom meetings. I have to run an adapter and it won't work with my monitors KVM function. Also, the settings I saved on the facecam for my windows machine were kept and brought over to my mac. Guess it's got some internal memory? Either way, it's really nice feature and makes it easier for me to switch stations around and not have to reconfigure things.

    Don't give up that easily

I'm currently finishing a pc gaming setup, this camera has defiantly caught my eye since I'm planning to do DIY vids. Setup was a breeze although not sure why I have to turn on Camera Hub before I turn on OBS but it's not big of a deal. When i first installed on my computer, sure, I had grainy footage when I was doing my test run on OBS. Tech support did their best in helping me solve the issue but since I'm in IT, I let my troubleshooting skills kick in. I have my other computers (my Victus Gaming laptop, and the Macbook Pro 2017) I downloaded OBS on both machines and used the built in webcam. Both computers had the same issue without me hooking up the Elgato web cam. It's def a lighting issue, not the facecam. Just saying to those who wrote a bad review for this cam. Open up the curtains, get a pod casting lamp, get rgb lights for your setup, and most importantly, give tech support a try before you return it. Oh yeah, had some issues with WhatsApp for Windows but make sure you select facecam instead of the virtual camera. Looking forward to start my podcasting journey with this web cam, i'm def going to keep getting Elgato products for my setup.

Very nice upgrade from my C920, nothing wrong with the Logitech, however the quality, sharpness and sensor on the Facecam is significantly better. Use the Facecam app to set your settings, save them to the device and easily move the camera to another computer, location without needing to re-configure custom settings. No mic(c920s was horrible), Despite its size its very lightweight. Mounting clamp works well on most monitors, USB-C cable is long-enough, wish it was longer. I think its around 3.5 feet. Low-light is very good, universal camera mount allows easy to use on a tripod or Elgato Ring light, etc. As for price, $200 is fair, if your already within the Corsair and Elgato umbrella, it pairs nicely with the other products. Would i use it just for a dedicated ZOOM or Business webcam (maybe if your invested in other audio devices, it will make your interactions much cleaner looking) probabbly not, cheaper options out there for non streamers/gamers.

The good: - Solid picture quality in well-lit rooms, but it diminishes significantly in low light or poorly-lit environments. - Manual focus is great, but the controls could be a bit more granular. - Software is great. Features aren't super extensive, but they aren't anemic, either, and they're well laid-out. Being able to save your settings directly to the camera instead of having to readjust them w/ each new computer is a fantastic feature I wish more webcams had. The 'meh': - Lens cap is very secure, but to the point it's actually a pain to remove. The bad: - Severe fragmenting issue occasionally when powering on. Requires numerous software and/or hardware resets to resolve (sometimes two, sometimes ten). - Saving settings occasionally completely fudges them. Only solution seems to be setting everything up again and hoping the camera behaves. - Pricey. If you use webcams only on occasion or mostly for video chatting, go for something cheaper (maybe w/ a built-in mic). If you need a decent webcam for streaming or other video content creation, this is a solid option.

I am a small streamer on twitch (twitch.tv/tacticalmandofps). This camera was a huge game changer for me and my overall quality of camera picture on stream. Its clean and crisp at a fraction of the cost for a DSLR camera. Its overall functionality and setup was quick simple and seamless. The provided software for the camer was very easy and intuitive to adjust and make changes to on the fly. I would highly reccoment thise camera to anyone whos a streamer, someone who may need to do Zoom or Facetime calls for work or even if you just want a really high quality camera for your just incases.

The gamer webcam delivers crisp, high-definition video quality, making it perfect for streaming and recording. Its low-light performance and fast autofocus ensure clear and consistent visuals, even in dynamic gaming setups. With customizable features and a built-in microphone, it’s a solid choice for gamers looking to enhance their streaming experience.

Overall I really like this webcam, it provides a very usable and crispy wide image. My ONLY gripe/s is you really need good lighting, and low light will get noisy really fast, and the included mounting and adjustment mechanism leaves a lot to be desired. But honestly for most people buying and using this product they are gonna have the lighting, better mount, and time/patience to dial in the image settings just right. The built in effects and background remover work very well.

    A Budget Creator's Dream

This product's performance will very largely depend on the environment in which it's set up. For me, the image quality out of the box with settings on auto was what you'd expect out maybe a mid-range laptop webcam. But in fairness my desk is in a pretty challenging, low-light environment. A few tweaks in the Camera Hub software (which is nice, nothing mind blowing but does what you expect it to) and the addition of some direct light on me and the picture went from not great to actually very nice. I'd say this webcam will probably do a satisfactory job if you do nothing but plug it in and use as is, but if you have access to photo/video lights (I used a couple Neewer LED panels, but I'm sure even a cheap ring light would help a lot) or have your desk in front of a window so the sun shines on you, this webcam can look as good as a mirrorless camera. With it being a 60fps camera, if you do have the lighting necessary to keep your ISO down and shutter speed high, this thing can pretty convincingly mimic setups that cost many times more and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The only real giveaway is a lack of the natural bokeh that proper dedicated camera lenses have. Even then, the blur background effect is very good. It won't fool anyone into thinking you're on a mirrorless setup, but it's actually surprisingly really good at keeping *only you* in focus. This webcam is very much geared towards creators who likely have other resources to help get the most out of it. If you fall into that category, it's a steal. If not, it probably won't look as good as what you expect for the price.

As far as webcams go this is hands down the best option. For ease of use and picture quality. I had been considering using a Cam Link with a mirrorless camera, but I'm glad I went with this option. It's easier to use, and MUCH more affordable than a mirrorless camera, though admittedly it's not as versatile. But I'm not a photographer and just need a decent camera at my computer. This meets my needs and exceeds my expectations.

The picture quality seems to be very good. Even in low light, the cameras image is good. I had a little bit of a problem with the installation on an Apple desktop where the software didn’t recognize the camera at first. But, after restarting the camera in the computer, everything worked as expected with no other hiccups.

Software is really nice and has a lot of options for tweaking. I tried this along with the Razer Kiyo Pro, Logitech Streamcam and Elgato's EpocCam for iPhone. EpocCam won this, hands-down... it's just annoying to have to plug your phone in everytime. I ended up going with the Kiyo Pro, colors just look way better with it's HDR mode. Field of view options worked better for my situation, as well.

I like the control the hub offers, the camera seems better quality than the 1080p Logitech I was using. However I am experiencing some issues I haven't been able to track down. I need to use the camera both on Mac and PC, and so far the Mac stutters (Newest M1 Max Macbook Pro), whereas the PC seems to run the camera fine.
