Neither of the Elgato Facecams are very good in my opinion. They both need the software to look their best and the software runs very poorly even on higher end machines. This model specifically needs you to stay in a ‘sweet spot’ distance-wise to focus well and the color is just kind of weird. Can you adjust these things in the app? Yes. But as soon as you start making changes in the app, everything just gets a little bit wonky and laggy and generally just annoying. It requires you to be very well lit to look decent at all. TL;DR It works, but not well. Elgato is not a camera company, I wouldn’t buy their cameras.
