Very easy to set up. Allows you to stream any source (Playstation, Xbox, Switch, etc.) through to your computer for streamlabs obs or whatever other streaming software you use. I definitely recommend if you are a streamer or content creator and don't want to be limited to PC games.

I use this to livestream games from my Xbox, Switch, or PS4 and there really is zero lag when playing on your computer monitor. A little pricey? Yes, but trust me you’re not gonna find better quality than this capture card. I use with OBS software and it works great!

I got this to start making AMV and walkthrough videos to put on my YouTube channel. I have not regretted it. The set up is simple, and you even have the option to stream directly from the capture software, making OBS not needed.

I wanted to record games from my Switch for some time, so I decided to pick this up. In short, it works great. I was glad to see that it comes with its own HDMI cable so I didn't have to go get an extra one myself. One thing that's weird though is that the card doesn't pass the signal to my TV if it's not plugged in to my computer's USB port. Makes sense if you think about it, but could be annoying if you didn't realize it was unplugged. I've been using it with OBS, and after tweaking in the settings, I found a setup that produces good-quality recordings and streams. Very satisfied with it overall.

I just started streaming and needed a capture card that was easy for new streamers to get the hang of. The picture is clear, there aren't any lags, the set-up was easy, and I love it so far! I initially wanted something cheaper but this was worth the price.

So I didn’t read or did my research well. You need Windows 10 OS on PC or Laptop to work!!! You can’t just freely and expect it to work on Windows 8 or older versions. I had a Windows 8.1 OS laptop and this product didn’t work on it. After hours of trying I gave up and just left it alone in my closet. Months later I bought a new gaming laptop with Windows 10 installed. It worked magically!!! It runs smooth and am enjoying it a lot!!! I use it to stream on Twitch. Shout out to all you small streamers. Anywho, this product is easy to install and the instructions is easy to follow to connect from console to TV to laptop. No hassle whatsoever. Had no problems from its manufacturing. Worth every penny. I bought it when it was on sale for like $30 off during Black Friday.

This took some getting used to, I’ve never used a capture card so I had no idea if it was decent at first. It works well for me, but when using the Elgato software my quality was absolute garbage. I had to use SLOBS for it to work perfectly and have everything integrate well with each other. The only problem that I have is if I unplug the drive from the USB port on my PC, it blue screens my PC and then I have to restart. Simple fix is that I just don’t ever move it now, but if you can put it in a USB port that has no possibility of being disturbed and just leave it. My 3.0 port is at the front of my PC so I have to be careful. Otherwise all in all it is a great product, and in the future if I ever build a better quality PC I will be getting the internal capture card to free up USB space.

This works great with my MacBook pro. I prefer the free Game Capture HD software for capturing PS4 footage than OBS. Elgato's software is much more convenient and easy to setup and monitor what is going on during the capture.

Really wanted the HD60 S+, but urgency purposes I couldn’t wait. Regardless, it’s still a great capture card, and arguably the best capture device company out there! Recordings came out smooth, and works very well with SLOBS!

This is the best capture device for any new gaming console on the market! Delay is next to none and quality is perfect at 60 fps! I have had a slight usb disconnection error here and there but I'm not sure if it's the elgato or my drive. Buy this if you want to stream or just capture footage!

This elgato capture card captures in stunning quality with very minimal impact to content lag. I'm able to stream myself as I continue to stay in the top 50 players on fortnite duo's leaderboards and look pretty doing it without any input repercussions. Definitely worth the buy.

This product just plugs in and works. The only thing to consider, if using for your camera, is to check to see if your camera offers a clean HDMI display. If it doesn't you'll end up with the icons on your camera showing on your monitor.

This product is easy to set up. You can use it on any gaming console. Plug in one hdmi to your console and then into the elgato. Then take another hdmi from the elgato to what you want the image to project too. Either monitor or tv. It's that easy.

Works great. Took me awhile to get audio figured out. I wish it would pick up chat from headset automatically. Takes a lot of research to get everything set up perfect.

The Elgato HD60 S is great for recording gameplay! If you want to record anything else, though things start to get complicated. I had a project for class where I needed movie clips, and I wanted them at a super high quality, so I planned on using the Elgato to get the clips. The Elgato would not let me record the video because of how it was encrypted; HDCP. HDCP encryption will come from Blu Ray players, XBox Ones, Play Staytions (you can turn it off on Play Staytions), and even a cable box, and will only occur when something is copyrighted like a movie. Ignoring my issues with HDCP, the Elgato records at a great framerate, and the audio is also spot on.

Basically it’s the previous model except you can live stream. When you shut your computer off there is no signal pass through when the elgato is not powered so you have to disconnect it from your Xbox if you want to use your Xbox for Netflix or anything else that is viewable on your tv. Seems like more effort than necessary for people who don’t have a dedicated set up. Not sure if other manufacturers have a workaround in box for that I didn’t compare and it’s not even mentioned it was a “oh that’s inconvenient” found moment after already setting it up and using it. It does pick up game audio but not from the actual user, you need a separate microphone even if you already have a game mic/headset that plugs into your controller...why? lol Read the box. The system requirements really are the minimum system requirements. They are not suggestions. You need a quad core. Once you meet or exceed all the requirements it works as it should. Usb3.0 ports are usually blue btw.

Been wanting one of these for a while. After reviewing this model and the S+, I went with this one since it had better reviews. It definitely does not disappoint. Easy to edit videos and to attach it to Twitch.

I've been using this Elgato for nearly two years now and I've had no problems capturing my game footage. The quality is great and it is very user friendly. Pretty much plug and play.

Insanely easy to set up and the software you use for this thing is insanely useful for what you want. I also recommend getting the chatlink adapter if you’re going to be streaming on ps4.

The software is a little more cumbersome to install and setup than I would prefer, but overall it’s not too bad. Easy to physically set up and is a great experience on a ton of different consoles.
