Really easy to just kind of plug and play to use. Really helps with a streaming setup for sure.

I do live streams for gaming on YouTube and this product makes the live streams seamless and capture the recording perfectly.

I purchased the external capture card to start streaming from my XBOX One X. The card works very well, but set up isn't completely hassle free. The card has worked very well with only a few minor issues since installation. Most of these have been due to OBS software updates and also an HDCP issue from my XBOX to the Elgato (even though it shouldn't have been an issue). I would recommend purchasing the internal card and move your computer closer to your console if you're going to stream.

Great product. Delivers video quality in a higher resolution than I need it to. Makes recording so much easier and cleaner. Amazing product.

I loved the product overall however, if you really are willing to spend this much money on a capture card. you might as well invest that money into making your PC better and use OBS to record. for console just save money and buy a PC. it is million times better.

Best purchase ever makes my console streaming way easier was very easy to set up!

I made the mistake of returning this because I thought it was too pricey but it’s so worth it ! It has an audio input option so you can connect the chat link cable (sold separately) but that allows audio from your chat and your own audio to transfer on your stream to obs and slobs. I tried the avermedia live gamer mini and although it’s cheaper and easy to use the audio option just isn’t there.

It just works, this is the one that I think this is a necessity over budget options

I originally purchased this to record Playstation 4 gameplay to my Mac at 1080p. With their Game Capture HD software, this is possible and it's an okay enough experience. Recently, I was hoping to use this to be able to run a digital camera with HDMI support as a webcam. This, shockingly is not possible. Although Elgato advertises Windows and Mac support, this is not the case. On Mac, the HD60 S, only works with Elgato's Game Capture HD software. Web conferencing/streaming software (Zoom, Skype, Webex, OBS, Discord, FaceTime, etc.) will not recognize the device at all. On Windows, however, these issues do not exist, and steaming with the HD 60 S and OBS is commonplace. This ultimately is because Elgato has not developed Mac versions of their drivers, and have no plans to do so. Instead, for Mac users, Elgato recommends either upgrading to the HD60 S+ (released in September 2019), or purchasing their Cam Link 4k. This would have received a 5 stars from me, but Elgato's unequal support across operating systems, while claiming compatibility on their packaging just doesn't sit right with me. They aren't technically lying, but they aren't telling the full truth either. It still works great for recording gameplay, but for nearly $200, it falls short. I didn't expect to need to upgrade less than 2 years after purchase simply because my operating system happens to be OS X.
