Works just as expected, and it is most excellent. I highly recommend this product for a good entry into streaming. While the HD 60 X is a beast, the S+ is a fine and slightly more budget conscious choice. Unless are always running the most demanding titles, you may not notice the difference. Elgato's software is nice, but this is totally compatible with other popular choices as well. Easy to set up and get going, check out their website for a simple walkthrough if you need it.

I use it to stream on my XBox One X on a gaming laptop using AMD 5 with a GTX1650. It still run my games and streams. I also stream classic games and is able to connect my Wii, XBox 360 to the capture card. It captures in 1080p but I had to reduce streams to 720p for cell phones. I been using it over a year still run good, wish I had two HD60 S. I do not use the software that came with the card but I will take another look at it for other gaming VOD'S.

Fantastic option for streaming to streamlabs and any other OBS software

I use this device all the time. Since it has almost zero latency, I can actually use it to play my games through my computer, not just stream to Twitch, etc. Unlike other Elgato capture devices, this one uses a generic video driver and handles all the encoding internally, meaning you can pretty much plug it into any system and use it without any additional software. Windows will see it as if it were a webcam, meaning the native Camera app as well as most video conference apps can directly access the video feed. However, it can only feed to one application at a time... Another really useful aspect of the generic video driver is that it can even work on other devices like Android (assuming you have a camera app that supports external cameras) without any additional hardware or software. Video quality is excellent with very little visible compression and it can even downscale 4K inputs to 1080p60 or 4K30 while still passing the 4K video to your primary TV. It does not support surround sound, so you need to make sure your game console has its audio set to Stereo only or you won't get any audio on your capture. Since most livestream services don't support surround sound anyway, this shouldn't be an issue. It is not compatible with Elgato's standard Game Capture HD software, instead using their 4K Capture Utility software. However, since it has the generic video driver, other applications like OBS and XSplit can access it directly, so it doesn't really matter that Elgato's own software doesn't support it. It does not remove content protection like HDCP, so it can't be used to record movies or other protected media (at least not without something to break the HDCP protection, but that's not something to discuss here)

Did everything I needed it to accomplish and more! Great for streaming and it makes all my retro game consoles more vivid and able to be played at a higher definition! I will say, I am new to the stream stuff and while I wasn’t sure how to set up the software, there are a bunch of videos online and on YouTube that will help with the process. It does take a second to navigate through the software and pair everything with OBS but once you get it, it’s good to go!

Excellent for streaming all consoles into your pc. Highly recommend this product if you want to stream consoles.

It works very very well, but it disconnects a lot and the pc software is a nightmare sometimes.

Super easy to use and quickly connects to OBS and both the Xbox one X and the Xbox series S, separately of course. The audio input seems like it will be a nice feature if I can figure out how to utilize it with my Tascman Mixcast 4. So far I’m pretty happy with the quality of the recordings. I have not done any streaming yet so I cannot speak to that at this time.
