This capture device is very easy to use. It works on Mac and PC. You can download Elgato's free streaming and recording software from their website to use with it if you don't want to go through the hassle of using OBS or other third party broadcasting software. The Elgato software is very easy and there is almost no setup required.

This capture card is probably the best console capture card elgato has made. It has really quick capture, easy to use, and just great performance overall. My only con would probably have to be its price, which I suggest that you might wait just wait for it to go on sale if you aren’t in dire need for one yet. Besides that though, great product!

Works well as advertised. A bit pricey but you get your monies worth.

It did an awesome job, I don’t recommend using this with an IMac or Mac Book unless you have one with good ram, It did capture gameplay really well!

I bough this 3 months ago and i am glad i made the investment on buying this. This is so easy to use and record content. This records beautiful video footage. If you are looking to record your video content, this is the product for you.

This product was a life saver for a first time streamer. Its very simple to use but you have to follow elgatos youtube vids for extensive detail of use. Im using it for PS4 and it puts out great quality content. Highly recommend you order a chat link cable off amazon to go with it.

Worked great for a few months and then started malfunctioning. Elgato tech support ran me around in circles for MONTHS before they would acknowledge that the device itself is the problem. And to replace it? They want a receipt from an in-store purchase made like a year ago.

I still use it I went from some cheap Amazon one to this and trust when I say it’s night and day no matter what I record it’s always smooth.

I didn’t have the hardware to get the internal card but this works exactly as described. Although I think it’s a bit on the pricey side, but most capture cards are these days. I recommend 10/10 for anyone looking to capture 1080p quality.

If you’re looking to stream or record/edit gameplay videos, this capture card does the job. I use it to stream on Twitch, it’s easy to set up. I only recommend this product to people looking to stream or record gameplay videos.

I’m a big n00b when it comes to tech, but this is super easy to use! Elgato provides straightforward, step-by-step instructions to help set it up. I stream my COD gameplay through my Macbook to Twitch and there’s no lag. Worth it!

Had this capture card since 2021, no problems at all. Elgato is always reliable! this one will not disappoint for basic video recording & streaming!

I have a few gopros (8,7 and 6) and webcams prices were about the same as the Elgato HD60 S+. I work from home and zoom meetings are part of my routine. As soon as I installed the elgato (plugged it in really, windows took care of everything else) I ran into issues. The GoPro would lag and the zoom meetings would crash with video from my gopro via Elgato HD60 S+. Upon troubleshooting, i realized none of these issues were the Elgato's fault. GoPro - You have to remove stabilization. If it's on it will lag. Zoom - You must have the lasted windows 10 version. You might think you have it but if you're having issues then you might not. I thought I was on the latest update but I wasn't. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 You must have the November 2019 update. Once this was applied it was smooth sailing on zoom meetings! Everything is working fine now. Please don't return until you troubleshoot these areas.

We needed an HDMI capture unit. We bought two, this Elgato and the j5create. The Elgato HD60 S+ is just a higher quality unit. It is easy to use and the product I would immediately buy again if the need arose.

A very good, easy to use device that lets me stream games with much more ease. It is high in quality, very easy to use and setup, and just makes the overall experience better. (I use OBS to stream).

Got this one because my normal Elgato HD60 had run its course. This one has no lag from my console to my pc which is a big selling point for me. Price I think is still steep but it’s worth the investment if used often.

This capture card is great. Can download companion stuff and the device itself pretty much operated plug-and-play with my mac. Now have my 4K mirrorless hooked up as my webcam for zoom and OBS streaming and recording.

It is good at picking up game capture from my Playstation 4. The quality is very good. You HAVE to use Elgato's 4K Capture Utility software, and not the Elgato's Game Capture software in order for this to work. If you're outputting to OBS, make sure to open up the 4K Capture Utility so that it works on OBS. After OBS picks up the video/audio signal, you can then close the 4K capture Utility. That works for me. You may need to keep 4K Capture Utility running if OBS does not pick up the signal. Overall, great quality piece of hardware. I knock a star off because OBS does not pick up video signal without having to open up the 4K Capture Utility and the software does not have an option to change volume output coming from the console.
