Expensive desk lamp, not worth it

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this because I wanted to stay in the Elgato ecosystem to minimize how many apps/programs I use for my stream setup. I could never get it to connect to my wifi. Part of that is my fault for not noticing it only uses the 2.4GHz band, however, that shouldn't have been a problem for the setup. The app was horrible to use and whatever security protocol it uses is too old to work with my router. I couldn't drop it down far enough for it to even think about trying to connect to my network. After several hours trying to get it to connect I gave up and got Logitech lightbar instead.

Nice light but too many connectivity issues

It seems like good build quality and the Elgato Control Center app gives plenty of adjustment over light output. The problems come when it can only connect to wifi via 2.4 Ghz band and there are no other controls on the light itself other than a power button. Ultimately i had to return and go with a true studio LED light for my needs.

Like others have mentioned the WiFi on these are very flakey. They show up and disappear from the control panel constantly. These aren't terrible far from the router, and I've never had any issues with other WiFi devices. I will probably return these, as I'm not paying this much money for something this flakey.

The lights themselves are great and easy to install and use. But, the software has some major issues.
