The software doesn't work. Won't connect to the wifi from either my phone or my computer. I went as far as shutting off the 5 ghz so everything was forced to only connect to 2.4, which is the only signal this thing is compatible with. Still won't connect. Tried reaching out to elgato. Their tech support is garbage. Still haven't gotten a response. I'm going to return this and find something else. Which sucks because this light got rave reviews from professional streamers which is why I bought this. I'll never purchase another elgato product again.

This light is amazing. I got it initially for streaming on Twitch, but now use it for everything. It links through Wifi to make it very portable. I can film and video with it, as well as use it for product photos and any other areas I need a range of light. It’s simple to hook up and adjust brightness and hue for blue to white to yellow tones.

The instructions are pretty poor. Make sure you connect one light at a time and the other should be off. Otherwise it won’t work.

My light would not turn on at all after fully connected to an outlet, and it feels flimsy and cheap. I looked up if anyone had the same problem but people say that the outlets are defective. Putting the light and the hook together was a little uneasy, you have to mange three plastic together and try to get it to connect. Also I downloaded the control center app, it was not even connecting to my wifi at all. Maybe it only connects to a 2.4Ghz connection or something was up.

The light was fine, I guess.. However, when paying over $100 there is no excuse for the lousy stand and its attachments. The screw attachment between the light and the stand has two parts you have to screw together around the ball attached to the light. You can barely adjust it without it coming apart and the light nearly tips over if it is at its full height. Frustrating and ridiculous. The stand barely supports the weight of the light and yes, I had everything screwed in tightly. Disappointed

To be honest I think this is an average product that is ridiculously overpriced. It does what it is supposed to do but there’s really nothing special about it and certainly nothing to justify its quite exorbitant price, especially considering that you’ll probably need two of them. I find Elgato products in general to be pretty average stuff that is well marketed but ridiculously marked up. I would look elsewhere for this one.

I want to give this 5 stars so bad as I love Elgato products, but unfortunately I just cant. At first, they worked great, definitely a 5 star product. But then my wife and I moved, and built a new network with the same router. Everything else that we hooked into the new network works fine and connected right away with no issues. It's been almost a year, and I am still unable to connect these to the new network. I have done everything, to factory resetting, watched youtube videos, got help from elgato.com, and nothing I do helps. These things just will not connect to any of my networks. I am using the exact same router I used before when I had no issues. These things just do not connect, and if they do not connect to your wifi network, they are absolutely worthless since they are all app controlled. Unfortunately, I am going to sell the 2 I have, and buy an off brand ring light that does not require any sort of wifi connection so I can actually have guaranteed light for streaming. Again, these worked great in the beginning, but unfortunately I have not been able to get them to work since. Only Elgato product I have that disappoints me.

Honestly didn’t work right for me while streaming I would say get the hue lights like the little ones for background

Bought this to provide some front lighting for Zoom/Google meetings and not at all disappointed. Love being able to color balance to other ambient light and easily control intensity with app.

Only connects via WiFi but does not support newer more secure WiFi standards. Could not get it to connect to any WiFi network.

These lights are best used in pairs, so I bought two of them. They seem to work well. I especially like the app even though it only works on my iphone.

Kind of difficult to set up and didn't really meet my expectations.

Elgato tried to build a good quality, but it lacks, and it's not worth the money.

Quality ok. The WiFi control functionality was wonky and unstable. The PC control software needs work. Would launch occasionally. Returned it due to inconsistent performance and fluctuation between settings, possibly due to software control.

Solid key light, but very dissapointed by the lack of features. No color options, just different shades of white, and it can't communicate with Alexa or Google Home. All surprising for a product this expensive.

I wanted to love these, but I found them very overpriced and quirky to use with the app. I have other lights that were 1/2 the cost and did a better job.
