Do you stream? Get This!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you stream, or even podcast, I highly recommend picking up this or one of the other versions. (I have 32 button version) Tasks and checklists! Any one who streams can tell you there are a lot of things you have to remember when you start each time, and several tasks that may pop up during the stream. Checking sound levels, making sure to turn on the local recording, muting and un-muting devices at different times, switching scenes, playing transitions and animations. A LOT of things to remember and sometimes forgetting one of them can really mess things up! That is where the Elgato Stream Deck comes in. Sure there is the obvious advantage of pressing a button to switch scenes without taking your mouse out of the current application/game, but that is just the surface level. Each button has the ability to have multiple actions linked to it, like a macro. So when you switch from "Starting Soon" to "Game Time" the button can: Turn off the music source, un-mute your microphone, un-mute your game audio, start your local recording(!), play a intro video, play the transition, and load your gaming scene! All in a single button press that you name and create a icon for that displays on the screen of the Stream Deck. Creating macros like the example above is very easy with a drag and drop interface with each action have different options on what it does. The actions depend on what you are interfacing with, and the Stream Deck comes ready to work with most the major software apps that we need like: OBS, Stream Labs OBX, Xsplit, Twitch, Mixer, You Tube, Twitter, and Voice mod to name a few. Further, several publishers have created interfaces to work with the Stream Deck like Voicemeeter, Spotify, and StreamElements, all easily loadable through the Stream Deck app. If that was not enough for you: It also integrates with Unity and VisualStudio, so you can create your own application controlled by the Stream Deck! The construction is solid! This thing has some heft to it and feels good. The cord is braided and is a USB-C so can be replaced if need be. The deck itself is like a thick tablet with a angle built in so it is easy to see and read when laying on a desk. It magnetically attaches to its stand for a steeper angle making it very easy to read and solidly held in place when mashing those buttons. I did have one temporary issue where the display was upside down and mirrored without the buttons moving. This had happened when I was moving the USB to another port. Something that others had an issue with online as well. In there cases they had to RMA and get a replacement, but in my case it fixed itself after a few days. I am happy to say that I have NOT had the problem since and based on research online it seems really rare! Even with that weird issue I had I HIGHLY recommend this! It certainly takes care of a lot of the minutia for you, allowing you to concentrate on entertaining your audience. (maybe get one of those extended warranties?)

Best Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was back and forth about getting this, and I’m so glad I did! It is worth having over the app option on your phone. The tactile feeling of the buttons, and the several buttons available make productivity skyrocket; as long as you take the time to program everything you want into them. And the customization of the buttons, plus being be able to set wallpapers is just such a fun feature. You can benefit from this for streaming, or any work you do at home, including if you’re a student.

Awesome tool, even for non-streamers
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is awesome. There is an incredible learning curve though. The first buttons I programmed were incredibly easy, but doing the rest was a grind to figure out what/how to do it. I don't have many things this is setup for now, but I've already started my next shopping list to upgrade old tech so it can run with this. I love it!

Great, fun item.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing I love! I have absolutely no need for it, but I thought it was cool and I had seen it used by streamers for lights and many other things. I have it for the novelty of it and mostly just to have one click access to websites and streaming apps, but if you actually would need it for function, I think you would love it too.

You can basically program this to do anything
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Stream Deck Mini and I love it. I just wished I had more buttons, so rather than go with the regular Stream Deck, I had to go with the XL because I keep thinking of different macros and uses for this device. You can even turn on your lights in your house with this. Way easier than autohotkey or IFTTT (which it does integrate with). It makes adjusting programs in the background easy without leaving whatever task you have in the foreground.

An excellent replacement for macro keypads
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Back in the day, I used a Logitech G13 macro keypad, the backlight what was dim and the macro keys not logically laid out, but the language was strong for making quick macros using everything from Mouse events to keyboard Strokes When I saw this pad, not only could I address each button with Graphics that I created or pre-made ones, but it did everything that my keypad could do and a whole lot more. Now that Logitech no longer supports the G13 and has dropped it from its latest line Hub software to program it, I was forced to either use older versions of their software that aren't supported anymore, or use the pre-made 12 macro keys on their latest RGB keyboard. With the 32 macro keys, programmable video buttons that support animation, and the fact that it has support by the manufacturer with API plugins to allow others to write script to make the buttons work with other devices such as automated light bulbs, iot devices, and Hardware monitoring devices.

Great gadget for content creators
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using this for a little over a week it's been amazing. It takes an hour to fully set up and get used to but it's worth it. Makes streaming and content creation easier and more convenient. The software is easy to use and allows for custom buttons too.

Stream Deck for church livestream system
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We run several Stream Decks with our video system at church. The software is great to program. We use it to call up several PTZ camera presets as a group for different scenes. The other we use with OBS software to call up lower-third titles. What is really fun is being able to have either Stream Deck do either function by simply calling up a different preset collection of buttons. Great if you're running everything solo!

Buttons for days!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing piece of equipment for any live-streamer. I’d love it if the Stream Deck had internal memory so you could use it without running the stream deck software. The build is solid and the buttons have a great feel. I use mine with an ATEM video switcher and it greatly improves my options. There is a learning curve and a couple functions had to be repeated before they were configured correctly. Online tutorial videos helped a lot.

Working great for me.Easy to program but expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This USB accessory keyboard is working great for me. It is easy to program application or OS shortcuts, commands and the keys can be programmed with preexisting icons or you can program your own. I’m using on windows10 without any problems. Your programming is limited by your abilities. You can even download already created modules to use with your setup. My main limiting factor is time, but I’m slowly getting it configured the way I want. I bought the XL bc I don’t see the usefulness of the smaller versions. I guess if you have limited space the smaller ones may work for you. I guess the only criticism I would have is the expensive price. It comes down to what are your willing to pay for the benefits you may get from the product.

love this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this beast. its pricy but does the job. I had a 6 button one and that was to small. I made it work and great starter. I debated this one and the 15 button one and a few reasons I went with this one. the 6 button is 100$ the 15 is 150$ this was 250$ so less then double the 15 button and has double the buttons with 2 more. so price per button its the best deal. also my best buy store was out of the 15 button and I wanted one now lol. I like that the front piece can come out and you can lay it down. the cord can come out and its a usb c so you can put it in easily. I thought it was going to be a lot bigger then what it was. yes its a good size but it fits under my monitor with a good amount of room with my monitor all the way up. I am glad I went with this one because I use sounds, as well as scenes for my stream. both of those combined I think I use about 21 or so of the buttons. this leaves room so I can also add twitch, and a few other buttons and all on the same page so to speak. cord is braided so that is also a nice touch. I loved that because I had the 6 button, when I plugged this one in, it asked me if I wanted to import my settings. I did, and it saved it just like the 6 button one. I then was able to copy each button, paste it where I wanted the button at and then delete. this way all of my buttons where on the same page at the moment. what is great about having a stream deck regardless of size, is that you can do folders within folders etc. I look at it like a iPhone, or other phones that have apps and then you can go to the next page with more apps. when ever I set up a page, you auto have in the upper left a back button (unless very first page). but it does not set up next page button. so I always like to make my bottom right a next page button so if I fill up that page and need to continue I can. for instance if you set it up for songs, and have 50 songs, then you would be able to have 30 songs on the page, with a back button and then like I said a next button, then you can put your other 20 songs on the next page. so its 32 buttons, but you can go page after page after page with it. like a phone can have x amount of apps on a page but you swipe and now have that amount on the next page etc. I have had my 6 button for a year or more. a while anyways. and hopefully I get the same with this. its not a need, and for most the 15 button probably would work well. I mean the 6 button works well and gets the job done. but once you have it, its nice to have. once I realized I was able to put all of my stream stuff onto a single page and that it was more then 15 buttons, I was glad I got this. I recommend this especially if you are going to be streaming. I also love that you can customize the buttons. known apps like twitch, facebook etc you can show those icons. other things you can type what you want so you know the buttons. a lot of the songs I use for streaming, well just small clips, I use things like the Mario death sound, we are the champion, jeopardy, etc. so I was able to kinda use those names so I know which one is what. for the most part it was pretty easy to set up and use. just time and fairly easy once you get using it and get used to it. can be tricky at first but not to bad overall.
