Needs a weight or a heavy mic- arm doesn’t secure with hinge system…. Arm will pop up if you don’t use their specific mic or use a weight to weigh it down.

It works right out of the box, even with a Blue Yeti. The reach is sufficient for either in-front or overhead mic placement.
