    Both my wife and I use this Elite skillet and we each agree this skillet deserves better than a good rating and has one weak point. “the temperature dial”. The skillet is so far absolutely fabulous. This size being XL heats quickly, evenly and is a joy to clean. We can cook an entire meal all at the same time (use less pots, pans, utensils). Good for me, as I do the dishes.. Back to the temp dial, which feels unstable and does not make a positive solid connection (feels loose). All told we are looking forward to using this skillet for years to come.

    We attempted brown some chicken thighs at 350 degrees F and couldn't get it to maintain that temperature (or even reach that temperature for more than a second, or so). Setting the skillet to 350 degrees resulted in it exceeding 500 degrees and starting to smoke heavily. Reducing the setting until the heating light went out (around 300 degrees) caused the skillet to drop below 200 deg. Increasing the control until the heating light came back on (around 325 deg) caused the skillet to go back over 420, and was continuing to heat until I turned it down again. Totally useless temperature control. Took it back to Best Buy and got a refund.

    Good finish inside. Heats up well so far. Only complaint: It is difficult to get the thermostat into the socket.
