Great price, however, you get what you pay for.The picture doesn't adjust to the clearest view. Sound quality is not the greatest.you need to hook up an external speaker for good sound.room needs to be dark as you can get it to even see the picture

Does not work well in any type of lighted up area. Use in dark settings and it does the job. If you are looking to see if you want a projector for larger gathering, may want to spend a little more.

After using and testing it for a while now... I was upset because of the sound issue I had with devices playing through HDMI. After solving this issue, I'd really recommend this projector... The price is very good for the playing quality it provides. Video plays very clear even on big screen. Setting it up is really easy and just straight forward. The size is a bit bulky but it is not bothering at all. It has a remote control that has a very good range. All controls are also available on the projector itself. The projector has internal speakers. They are not the loudest but they are ok when needed. It has the main connecting ports mostly needed: Autido Jack, 2 HDMI connectors, 1 USB and 1 Micro SD card slot (and video input)... When using the HDMI, just make sure to set your audio to "stereo" on your device (Laptop, Firestick,...) The projector supports only plain stereo mode. The USB is the classic USB 2. It doesn't work with USB3 devices (at least the one I tested). Videos decoding is just fine. Playing bunch of on disk videos without any issue. Micro SD is a bit slow. Worked fine any ways. The projector is a bit on the noisy side. The fan is working hard to keep it cool which I don't think is really necessary but when keeping it cool extend the life of the lamp... Why not. There is almost no delay to turn it on/off. Fast response and enough light projection. You can set up the projection the way you need: Mirror, flip vertically,... Also adjusting the focus is working very good. Ready to be mounted anywhere you want. I'd recommend it if you are looking for something basic that can do the job just right with really good price.

I thought having one of these portable projectors would be a cool thing to have. The thought of having a portable big screen TV for video games or watching movies seems like a cool idea. This one, falls a bit short in my opinion. The unit itself is about 8 x 6 inches and around 3 inches tall. So it is pretty compact and definitely portable. It's fairly lightweight but seems almost fragile when you hold it. Seems like it's very low quality plastic. Doesn't feel sturdy or rigid like one would expect. There are plenty of connections for this projector. You get 2 HDMI slots, VGA, USB and even a microSD slot so there's no worries about it not being compatible with what you are looking to connect to it. I tested this out using my Google Pixelbook with HDMI to USB-C connector. The projector is about 8 feet or so from the wall in the video. At full 1920 x 1080 resolution, everything was super tiny and noticeably pixelated. Not really high quality resolution but, considering the price of this, wasn't really expecting anything mind blowing in terms of quality. I found that 800 x 600 resolution looked the best for my room setup so yours may vary. There is a noticeable noise coming from the fans on this projector. If you're old enough to remember the teacher flipping on the projector in class for a presentation or slideshow, you'll also remember that smell which this projector also has. The noise is expected but it does get a bit annoying at times. The speaker on the projector is very basic so don't expect much output from it. While this is neat and does the job, I think it could've been a bit better in terms of resolution. Considering the price, this isn't a huge investment so you get what you pay for I guess. I'm using this just as a way to project my Netflix since I don't have a TV in the guest bedroom. Again, it does the job but not as well as you'd hope. https://youtu.be/lEXtSbqX8XE

Don’t waste your time with this projector. Right from the get go it didn’t work for more that 3 minutes at a time. The orientation of the projection changes and the controls both on the remote and on the physical unit don’t work properly. Very low quality.

The Ematic EPJ590WH projector has some great qualities, but there are a few shortcomings to be aware of. I'll start with the positive. First, the design is quite superb--lightweight and compact. Even in the box, the entire package is small enough to pack on a trip in my backpack or a small carry-on bag, without taking up the entire bag. If the power pack were smaller, the package could become even more efficient. The compact feature alone makes this projector a good choice for business travelers. Next, there are several choices for video input. Although VGA and HDMI will probably be the ones used by most, I appreciated the USB and microSD options. With more and more hotels preventing the use of my Chromecast in their TVs (can't change the input, even on the TV itself), I will likely use the HDMI for watching movies and the HDMI or VGA for business presentations. Finally, the brightness is quite good in a dark room. In a low-lit room, the brightness was still adequate. However, the projector is just not powerful enough to generate enough lighting contrast in a well-lit room. I had the projector about 10 feet from the wall in a dark room (projecting about a 100" diagonal", and the image was adequately bright. For watching movies, I found the "soft" setting to be best. It provided the least amount of washout in brighter scenes. Now, I'm going to mention the few shortcomings. First is the picture quality. The resolution is limitied to 800X600, so if you're used to the crispness of a higher resolution TV, the picture will look a bit grainy. As you increase the projection size (as I did), the graininess becomes more apparent. Nothing horrible, just as expected. Next is the sound quality. The speakers are adequate to hear audio clearly, but I wouldn't use it to enjoy an action movie. I used the headphone jack to hook up noise cancelling headphones, and that worked very well. Again, nothing horrible, just as expected. The biggest downfall was the focal quality. The greater the height adjuster is positioned in the front of the projector, the worse the focal quality is near the bottom and the top of the projected image. You would be better off placing the projector on top of a stack of stuff to get equal focal quality over the entire projection. For movie watching, the focal quality is OK for movies that have the "black bars" across the top and bottom of the picture. For the price, this projector packs a lot of good features. The portability alone makes this a great value. So much, that I can overcome the other shortcomings. I can see a lot of families enjoying this projector outdoors at a campsite or even in a hotel room, as an alternative to watching TV. I can also see this projector being used for business presentations, as long as the room is not super bright.

Bought this to watch movies. Opened it and set it up out of the box however it kept shutting off after only a few seconds on. All cables and connections were on correctly. Source was working just fine. Seems like it was defective and rather than exchange it I chose to get a refund instead. Pass on this.

I needed this for a funeral so we could project the life story of my partners father and couldn't even get through the 4 minute slide show in the testing phase! First time I tried to test it, the lamp turned off after only 2:31 seconds of use! Horrible!

Honestly nothing great about this projector, Except Price. Since i used and seen different varieties of projectors, I am very particular about quality, I changed my old expensive $$$$ projector just for small minor clarity and quality issue, You may think why i am telling this story when i am writing the review for this product, it is very important to understand my mindset to set your expectations hence i am sharing it. I will not use this for movies in my house for sure. But this will be very useful to quickly carry out whenever we go for vacation or camping, I have power source to provide power so that way this is good. I do not think we get projectors for this cheap, you can surely buy it and try it out it may impress you. Sound is OK. It has HDMI input which is great. It comes with remote. Who can go for this : I think if you are new to projectors (or) if you are looking for cheapest with OK kind of quality (or) If you are looking for something during your vacation

I have always wanted a projector, and this definitely gets the job done. You are given options to watch things through an SD card or USB drive, but I just bought an HDMI cord to go from my Android to the projector. The picture quality is great against the wall at any size. It is so easy to refocus and use the keystone features. The remote is super helpful too, as you don't need to keep getting up to operate the machine. The sound quality is pretty good, considering it is coming from the projector itself. It is small and very easily portable. I just carry it in the handy box it came in that has a handle. The lens cover is also nice to have so you aren't scratching it up during storage or travel.
