Awesome mug! I’m in meetings the majority of days, which tends to mean cold coffee. Not anymore! I purchased another charger for my desk which keeps my coffee hot all day! Without the charger I was getting roughly 3 hours of hot coffee at 120 degrees. If you prefer surface of the sun hot coffee, your experience will likely be a shorter amount of time.

Keeps my coffee hot for longer. This thing is amazing it can even heat a drink to a desired temperature even if the drink starts out cold. Along with the app this cup feels futuristic. One downside the battery doesn’t last very long.

I can only say, if you want your coffee to remain at 135-degrees (or whatever you like) then this is a must have. The battery life lasts for quite some time. 14oz is just enough to keep you happy... until the next cup. Keep in mind you can't put this in the dishwasher. The price is a little high but it works well. It is made well and very durable. I did drop it while washing it and it withstood the drop from the countertop height to the floor. Continues to work fine.

OK, so this review is for the white one because I bought both colors. I was very happy with the mug's performance. It really is a different way of thinking and you get used to the idea that if you're called away, you can come back to a hot cup of java even after half an hour or so. I normally enjoy two cups of coffee every day. That's just my habit. I've had the cups for 9 months and have noticed only a slight reduction in the total time.that it'll keep the contents hot. All is well there. It sits on the charger pretty much all the time except when in use; maybe there's a better way to treat the battery :) . I had occasion to write to Ember directly and let them know that the finish on the bottom of the white cup had worn through to metal (steel) and that the cup, inspire of my pretty fastidious cleaning regemin, had stained badly. I think I would be a totally different reviewer here had it not been for Ember's response. The company stood behind their product, did not question my care and use of the mug and offered a replacement within 48hrs of my initial email. . I am impressed with the product overall, it's a cool invention and it works well. I was totally impressed with Ember's customer satisfaction effort and because of that, I can wholeheartedly recommend the product. Looks like I'll be sending a couple out as Christmas gifts this year too :)

I kept my eye on this mug for a while, and was so sick and tired of my coffee going cold at work, that I finally just went for it! I absolutely love it! Setting your preferences ( multiple can be set; for example, one temp for coffee, another temp for tea, etc) on the Ember app is super easy. After set up, just pour it up! Easy to clean, not flimsy at all, the coaster has a nice extra long power cord, it literally keeps every last drop of your drink at the desired temp! Only con is that this is not truly 14 oz. I haven't figured out the exact measurement, but using the 12 oz setting on my Keurig created a mess

I was looking at this for a while and only pulled the trigger once I had enough certificates to justify the purchase. The mug DOES warm up coffee and keeps it warm which is great. But this product is not worth it's retail price. First, the battery does not last long - not a big problem for me as I keep the charging plate on my desk and use it as a coaster. Second, for a fraction of the cost, you can get an insulated tumbler that will keep your coffee warm. I think this is a good product but only recommend if you have reward certificates to use when this goes on sale.

This mug does everything that I wanted to do. Keeps my coffee at the exact temperature I want while still being able to drink from an open ceramic mug. It is beautiful and easy to use!

I have a collection of mugs that i dont even use anymore since i got this mug. I usually boil water and pour it in since i use instant coffee, and then just wait a little but until it comes down to my favorite temp. So far, its been great, 4 months in and I’m loving it. I will say i was concerned to see scratch marks at the base, I may have used abrasive sponge one day, but for everyone talking about the ceramic coating coming off of the base, that is covered by the manufacturer 1 yr warranty, so it’s hardly an issue. After my coffee, ill turn if off at the bottom and leave it on the counter in case any water was near the bottom charging area before i put it on the charger. Great mug, highly recommended.

Perfect size, and perfect length of keeping my coffee warm (I’m a slow coffee drinker). Super easy to use, and the app is a bonus. You can change the temperature of the mug, and customize the light color at the bottom that lets you know it’s fully charged.

My wife has a hybrid work schedule: 40% at home 60% in office. I got her both a 14oz mug and the travel mug. The travel mug works flawlessly in the 2-3 months we've had it. And the travel mug has touch-senesitive contols on its body so you don't have to download the app to use and adjust it. The 14oz mug, meanwhile, can only be controlled through the app (other than its power button on the bottom) and is great when it works, but for some reason has to be re-paired upon each use with the app and can at times take up to 2-3 minutes of troubleshooting before it reconnects to the phone app, (e.g. putting it into pairing mode one or a few times before it connects, or sometimes even requiring a factory reset before it pairs with the app.) Both the travel and regular mug versions are unnecesaey luxuries, but boy, do they serve their purpose and make you feel like you have a luxury product (especially the travel mug, but the regular mug too when it works.) For reference, both my wife and i have recent Samsung Galaxy S-series Android phones, so you may or may not have have the same experiences with these products and your phones connecting as we did if you use different devices with the Ember app.

I was a little unsure about this item after reading other reviews, but I have been very pleased with this mug. Like others, I wish the battery would last longer, but after buying a lid for it, I am able to enjoy warm coffee for much longer.

I wanted an Ember mug for years, but my budget is rather small. I found it on sale and decided to bite the bullet and buy it. It's great, but I have 2 things that sort of bug me. It will not stay connected to my Google Pixel Pro 7 which is a huge disappointment. Also, when the battery needs to be recharged, it seems to take a long time to charge. But, that's somewhat tolerable. Not staying connected to my Google Pixel phone is what really irritates me. Other than that, the mug performs as expected.

Okay was it a splurge? Yes! But honestly the amount of coffee I was wasting makes this thing worth every penny. I can walk away take a call or jump on a zoom and my coffee is still piping hot when I return. Love that I can adjust the temp for tea or hot cocoa if I want it slightly warm

While expensive, I enjoy this mug overall. I usually have one ~18oz cup of hot coffee during the day. I've always used an insulated travel mug like most folks and while that's okay, they're not easy to clean sometimes and you miss out on the aromas of your freshly brewed coffee. When I'm at home, I enjoy using a regular mug, but the downside is the coffee cools down too quickly. Enter Ember, which allows me to use a regular mug, but keep my coffee as hot as I like it for as long as I want to. There are only 2 downsides. 1) battery life is lacking. No issue when I'm working at my desk and I can keep it on the charger, but on the weekend if I'm relaxing on the couch, it doesn't last as long as I'd like to keep it hot. 2) maybe it's because it's cold right now, but condensation forms on the charger when the mug is on there. Overall, while it's a splurge I recommend it if you don't mind the high cost.

Love this heated cup, I have had it for more than a year. I have also gifted to a friend. The temperature & color control features and the application overall are ok; it is overkill since the settings therein are more of a George Floyd "set it and forget" kind of thing. Without the base, the battery last only one hot mug. I feel the cap is a must and should be included with the cup; alas, I recommend you get it with the cup. I would recommend this product.
