Love this! The white color makes it look sleek and clean. Keeps my drink hot for hours!

While expensive, I enjoy this mug overall. I usually have one ~18oz cup of hot coffee during the day. I've always used an insulated travel mug like most folks and while that's okay, they're not easy to clean sometimes and you miss out on the aromas of your freshly brewed coffee. When I'm at home, I enjoy using a regular mug, but the downside is the coffee cools down too quickly. Enter Ember, which allows me to use a regular mug, but keep my coffee as hot as I like it for as long as I want to. There are only 2 downsides. 1) battery life is lacking. No issue when I'm working at my desk and I can keep it on the charger, but on the weekend if I'm relaxing on the couch, it doesn't last as long as I'd like to keep it hot. 2) maybe it's because it's cold right now, but condensation forms on the charger when the mug is on there. Overall, while it's a splurge I recommend it if you don't mind the high cost.

Okay was it a splurge? Yes! But honestly the amount of coffee I was wasting makes this thing worth every penny. I can walk away take a call or jump on a zoom and my coffee is still piping hot when I return. Love that I can adjust the temp for tea or hot cocoa if I want it slightly warm

Love this heated cup, I have had it for more than a year. I have also gifted to a friend. The temperature & color control features and the application overall are ok; it is overkill since the settings therein are more of a George Floyd "set it and forget" kind of thing. Without the base, the battery last only one hot mug. I feel the cap is a must and should be included with the cup; alas, I recommend you get it with the cup. I would recommend this product.

Nothing worse than your coffee going cold by 10am. It's better to ease into your caffeine intake and enjoy the flavor of your coffee throughout the day. I can keep my coffee hot until mid afternoon, but I usually finish it by noon anyway. There's no rush to chug it down! The app was a bit clunky to use at first, but I appreciate that it can detect liquid in the cup and it won't turn on the heater if it's empty. The "personalization" option is a bit silly, as the LED indicator is busy 90% of the time indicating whether the heater is active or the battery is low. You'll only see your personalized LED color if it's idle with good battery charge. Don't expect to enjoy this too far away from the charging base, however. With the heater active at 134F it won't last more than 40 minutes off the charger. The best way to use this mug is to simply use the charging base as a coaster and park it there when you're not taking a drink from it.

I love it! My coffee and tea is now always at the perfect temperature; never too hot or lukewarm, but PERFECT! If the coffee is lukewarm going into the cup, it get heat up, while extreme hot coffee cool down. A phone notification (if you set it with the apps) will let me know when it ready to drink. I tried testing it out to see how long it could last, and although, it couldn't keep my drink warm all day (there seems to be an auto-shut off, after several hours), it could keep my drink warm for a 1 to 2 hours, depending on the temperature set. You can also just leave it on the charging tray for longer, if need. I also tried using it for soup and found that thicker soup seems to not work quite well with the temperature setting, the bottom is always a bit hotter than the top. Especially, if you put lukewarm soup in hoping to heat it up. Not quite good. But hot soup can stay warm longer, which is nice, when you have your soup last like me. Coffee and tea at perfect temperature--I love it!

I love the Ember Smart mug. This is my second one, had to buy another one cause my first one stopped holding a charge and I had keep it on the charging base. That one was 5 years old so it was to be expected. I'm a sipper and I'll sip on one cup for at least two hours and to have the temperature constant is awesome!! And I can take it all over the house, it doesn't get any better. That is what Ember does. I highly recommend.

The Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug has become a perfect addition to my morning coffee routine. I tend to sip my coffee slowly, so cold coffee was always an issue for me. But now, with the Ember mug, those days are behind me! It keeps my coffee hot and at the perfect temperature, which I can easily regulate through the Ember app. The heating element is integrated into the mug itself and doesn’t add any noticeable weight compared to a normal coffee cup. After washing and drying the mug, I simply set it on its charging platform overnight to keep it ready for the next day. One downside is the relatively short battery life; I estimate it lasts around 2 hours before needing a recharge, which is a bit disappointing. The Ember mug does come with a higher price tag, but for an everyday coffee drinker like me, it’s well worth the investment.

The concept is great. But the product has issues that make you want to return it. My wife needed this cup to keep her drinks at her ideal temperature. That's great! BUT... It only connects to the app occasionally, maybe 40% of the time. With her Android phone it worked at first. Then shortly afterwards it asked to update, which she did. That was the beginning of the end. The second generation cup can be a great product. Submersible... perfect. Chargeable..needs to be longer. Style... nice. Price..needs to be less!! Connectivity..terrible!!! We may be returning this if we cannot get it corrected and connected. For the price, it shouldn't be this way.

I’ve read about the Ember mug for a while now. It went on sale and I thought I would try it out! I love it!!! Bought one for my wife as well! I get to enjoy my coffee while it stays hot the entire time. No more warming my coffee in the microwave. The app is great too. Tells me the temperature and how much the battery is charged. I recommend it!!!

Other than the battery dying extremely quick, I guess that problem could be resolved by keeping it on the charger while sipping. I love this idea. The worse is having your tea or coffee go cold on you mid enjoyment. Perfect gift for anyone really!

In general wonderful! I sit at a desk for long periods and this will keep coffee hot for well over an hour. The only problem, is that its almost too hot. I know there is supposed to be a way to control temp on the app...I'll have to look into that. The button on the bottom is a bit touchy but it works.

Mug itself is great if you manage your expectation that it keeps already hot/warmed coffee to your ideal temp for about 90 mins. The app is TERRIBLE. Constantly have to add my ember items back on to the app. EMBER PLEASE FIX THE APP!

A little costly, but worth it. Now I never have to worry of my tea or coffee going cold.

Makes enjoying a cup of coffee at work THAT much better. Gone are the days of having to run my coffee back to the microwave for a quick warm up. Now every single sip is the perfect temperature until the last dro! Go with the 14 ounce size too!! It’s the perfect fit for a Nespresso pod with a splash of oat milk!

I am so please with this mug. I thought it would be similar to the electric cup warmers but so much better. I work from home and at times get distracted, when I return to my coffee, it’s cold. Not this one, it remains at temperature I set. If I have to run out I can carry and it’s the same temp as I set. Saves from wasting coffee throughout the day because I let it get cold.

Decided to give this mug a shot as I have heard about them for awhile now. It is straight forward to use, and the app is user friendly. The battery time averaged is accurate so far in the beginning of its' life. I can get about 70-80 minutes before it is telling me I need to put it on the charger, that is at 137 degrees. Setting it hotter or cooler would extend or reduce the time. If you are someone who works from home or have this in the office, it is easy enough to have the charger on your desk and set the cup into the charger to help extend the time. Overall, a great purchase that allows consistent temperatures out of multiple cups of coffee. The best decision I made was spending the extra money to go with the 14 oz. over the 10 oz. I usually brew a 12 oz. cup from my Keurig, and if you add milk or creamer, you would have to reduce your brew cup size in order to make it work.

Got this as a long time coming gift for my wife! She has wanted one for years but never as much as this year! With our first baby this year and coffee became her life blood, so she talked about this more. Works as expected. Fairly short battery life, but considering you should drink through a cup within a reasonable amount of time I would say the expectation matches the pay off! Great product, easy to use, app is smooth. Glad I got this for her, finally!!

Got the Ember Mug 2 for my mom’s birthday because she works from home and only drinks her coffee when it’s piping hot. It’s been awesome. She sets her ideal temp, and the mug keeps it there without having to reheat. The battery lasts long enough for a full morning session too. If you love hot coffee and tend to leave it sitting while working, this mug is totally worth it.
