I bought the SmartVoice ES522 mostly because I wanted a wall plug with outlets and USB-A ports for my desk setup. The offline voice control sounded cool, but I honestly expected it to be gimmicky. Nope. I plugged it in and started using voice commands right away—no pairing, no Alexa, no “just connect to this” nonsense. Now I can turn my desk lamp on/off or set a timer for my fan without digging behind furniture. The two USB-A ports are perfect for keeping my phone and earbuds charged, too. It’s one of those products that’s simple in the best way.
