We use this charger for our Kia EV9, and it's great! Cable length is excellent and can reach around our car to the charge port on the opposite side, as well as outside to charge a second car. Install was a breeze for my electrician. The Best Buy "Features" on the website says it will only do up to 10kW @ 48A, however in the specs and the manual it states it can do 11.5kW @ 60A. Once my electrician saw that he swapped the 50A he had brought so I'd get an extra bit of charging juice. The app is a little overwhelming, Emporia uses it as their 1-stop-shop for all their products. That being said, setup was straight forward and painless and I was charging before my electrician was even packed up. Once you do a little digging and give the app some more details (like your address so it can automatically determine your electrical bill), there's a lot more information given. We have ours set to charge during off-peak hours, and it actually had our Electric Providers plan details within the app. Once selected, and based on our location, it knew how much we were paying and is able to give us a day-by-day breakdown of how much charging is costing us. All-in-all, I was a little skeptical when I originally purchased this charger based on comparative pricing, but I'm glad I decided to go with it. It's also an approved device for a rebate from our electric provider, so it was basically free. Highly recommend!

There are a lot of EV chargers on the market, so choosing the best one can be a bit of a challenge. I was between this Emporia hardwire charger and the Tesla charger. The final decision came down to saving $150 over the Tesla option. I had this charger professionally installed, and the electrician stated that Emporia makes installation fairly easy. The Emporia app, while basic, does do a good job of tracking the energy used. The J1772 connector works great with my Ford F150 Lightning.

Have had for nearly 6 months. Has been working great. Opted for hardwire option. Charges at max rate state on product details. I dont use APP as often but has come in handy when needed. I like that it's connected to wifi and can control on phone. Would recommend.

Hands down best charger especially for the price. Being able to control the charger while im out in my other vehicles is nice. Easy install and pretty handy app.
