They absolutely phoned it in...

The previous games were great and had actual progression, interaction with the animals, and scientific research. This game is just a randomly generated fish tank that you swim around in and scan fish to add them to your pokédex. The "story mode" missions are absolute trash busy work, and the disembodied robo-voice guide is nothing but a constant irritant. If this had instead been a lazy, unchanged port of the previous titles, it would have been far, far superior to the insulting embarrassment that it is. I 100% wish I'd pirated it first to try out instead of paying for it; that's what I get for assuming and trusting the team just because their previous work was so amazing.

I got this game because of my love for the old wii game. However, this is not anything like the old games. The story line is “there” but on the missions you do very little if any playing. I was extremely disappointed. It seemed so fun but I was bored after only a few hours.

whether youre a big time Endless Ocean fan like i am or have never played endless ocean once in youre life, this game is NOT worth it, especially at the price it is. a moserable, bland drop-off from the golden path paved by the 1st and 2nd games for the Wii, the pacing is terrible, the gameplay is boring, and frankly the game looks like it never finishes rendering. Its lacking every bit of magic that made endless ocean what it is. Do yourself a favor and grab yourself an old Wii from your local pawn shop, and snag Endless ocean 1 and 2 for it somewhere online like on lukiegames for a vastly superior, fun, relaxing and breathtaking experience

The game has been a real treat for my wife who has played all previous games. From a spectator it lacks the music of the 1st edition which always gave the game a relaxed feel.
