    I have had a hard time finding batteries that would last for over 12months in my smoke detector. Mine have just passed 14 months and I haven’t heard a chirp yet.

    Best Buy seems to be getting out of the battery business. There is very limited choice of products. If you think you will have a continuing need for them, consider stocking up now. Buying a multi-battery package also brings down the cost per battery considerably.
