Bought for my daughter to use with her Wii U. Charges in less than 8 hours and seems to hold a charge well. Good value when on sale. Not sure it is a particularly good value at full price. Used some of these from a different manufacturer (battery packs and charger looked identical to this one) previously for her Nintendo Wii and the battery packs lasted less than a year before they would no longer charge. Interested to see if these do any better or whether it is an inherent design defect. Only (minor) complaint is that her Wii U remotes are white and these are black. Still, work well and will be a good buy if they hold up better than the last set we bought.

Very easy to use and works great. We've only had it for a couple of days but I expect it save us money on batteries.

This item includes two battery packs, two remote backs (specific for this charger), the base unit, and a USB charging cable. The remotes fit firmly in the charger. We do not use covers over the remotes so I don't know how that would work. There is a red light and a green light for each remote. Red when charging. Green when charged. There is not an AC to USB wall converter included but I had an extra and for the price I still rate it as 5 starts.

I LOVE THIS CHARGER!

I read plenty of mixed reviews before choosing this charger and i'm glad I stuck with this one. I've had it about a month now and its been working fine for me. My niece and nephew come over alot so I always make sure I charge the remotes before they get here. I'm not the video game type, but love the interactive feature of the original Wii System. I got this in a bundle with the rechargable batteries, Wii remote and nunchuck for a great price. What I love most is you dont have to remove the rubber cover to recharge the remotes like the stand up chargers. All you have to do is lay the Remotes on the pad and wait till the red battery icon come on. Once its done the icon turns green and you are good to go with hours of play time! The discription for this item was vague and even when I called the rep really couldnt tell me if the rechargable batteries came with it, THEY DO =o) 2 battery packs & 4 special covers for the remotes(2 black, 2 White). It's even magnatized to keep the remote in place. Hundreds of dollars will be saved thanks to this item!!!

It's great not to have to change batteries...2 rechargable batteries come included with this, and you can charge the controllers even if you have silicone sleeves on them. The thing is, as they are charging (and once fully charged) they are warm to the touch. They never get HOT, but I was at first a bit alarmed at the temperature change. Other than that, the product does exactly as it is described: it charges your Wii remotes. No special connections are needed: they sit on the flat surface of the unit and are held in place with magnets (even with the silicone sleeves on). Indicators on the unit tell you whether the controllers are charging (red) or are fully charged (green).

We had an older type charging pad for the Wii controllers and it lasted years. Using this one with the Wii U was a needed upgrade. Sadly it only is designed to charge 2 remotes but we are making due. We put the rubber/plastic covers on the remotes and I figured it was worth a shot. IT WORKS! All in all a good value for the money.

I have to remove the gel skin on my Wii Remotes in order for them to sit right. Is that supposed to be the solution or are they supposed to work with them on natively? Anyways, it keeps them charged and that's all it's supposed to do.

I have been using this charger for about a month now and it has been working fine. I like the way the wiimotes sits in the base. You may have to do a little moving it around to get it in just right especially if you have the wrist strap attached. I am replacing the Energizer charger with some Nyko ones I had for awhile and those batteries were on their last leg. When the wiimotes are charging a red light appears and when fully charged a green light appears. The lights can be a little bright depending on location. A simple solution would be put some tape over it.
I guess if I had a con it would be for those that use the sync button on the wiimotes. There is no access to that red button once you put the battery cover on. It's a small con but nonetheless important to some.
I caught these on sale for ten bucks apiece, so def worth it to me.

You have to buy batteries for the remotes. This eliminates the need for that. Especially when you play the controller until it dies. No worries. Pop them on this console and tada you are good to go in a few. Love it!!! I hate buying batteries!!

This is a great charger. Replace the AA batteries with this battery pack, put on the new back and put it in the charger. It lights up saying it is charging and turns color when done. Works great and no more AA purchase needed.

This works great, simple as changing a battery. Comes with black or white replacement doors. Only wish could still use original Wii controller doors. But not a big deal.

We really enjoy gaming for hours with our extended battery life and charging station. The charging station has a unique slim design and it holds two hand held devices and charges them simotaneously. Red lets you know it's working and restoring a charge. Green means its fully charged and good to go. My four year old is in charge of keeping the hand held devices charged and he does a great job with this sleek device!

I suppose the only complaint I can think of is that it doesn't charge extremely quickly, but then, I'm not aware of any chargers that do. You sit the Wii remote on top of it, a light turns red to let you know it's working, and then turns green to let you know it's done. The battery packs hold their charge much better than the rechargeable batteries I was using. Granted, I haven't used them for very long; time will tell how well they continue to perform.
