    one time put up in fire alarm ..for hard to reach fire alrms above the stairs at ceiling peaks... no more beep ...beep every year,...

    They are batteries. They do what batteries are supposed to do. Had to buy lithium because when the temp drops too low outside the alkaline batteries are unreliable and the garage door keypad stops working. Would upgrade to 5 stars if it last long enough to justify the much higher cost.
