Lithium is always a bit more expensive, but worth it

We have the kind that use 1 AA battery. Going on 3 weeks now, power is as strong as the first day. Normally we use NiMh rechargeables in them, but with the $5 BB coupon these single-use lithium were only a few dollars. I probably won't buy again simply due to price and will go back to the rechargeables. Eventually I may consider looking for rechargeable-lithium type AAs, if the pricing comes down over the years.

Using any other type of battery still allowed a beeping sound from the smoke detector. We were happy to find that Best Buy had the batteries because they were not available at other stores we checked.
