I try to use these for high power draw and cold weather applications and heavy duty or super heavy duty for lower power draw applications where batteries are left in for a long time as neither type leaks. Alkaline batteries while good performance tend to leak eventually and have ruined many battery operated devices I've owned.

Being lithium they last longer, but to be honest if you're spending this much them maybe you should be looking at rechargeable ones instead. I bought them as had reward points
