Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the sound quality and bass of the Dual 5-1/2" Center-Channel Speaker, frequently praising its performance above the expected level for its price point. However, some customers found the speaker to be larger than anticipated, requiring adjustments to their existing entertainment setups. The substantial bass response eliminates the need for a subwoofer in some listening situations. A few users noted that the size might be excessive for smaller home theater systems.

I reviewed earlier about the Energy CB10 speakers that I bought as an open box. Was very happy with that purchase. Went back to Magnolia to find the matching center channel on sale also. Excellent match for the CB10 front speakers. Very happy with my purchase.

In process of having my new system setup in the next few weeks, but came across a steal of a deal with this as an open box item. Paired with the CF-30 towers in the Magnolia area the sound was awesome. I know what I am getting for my home and pumped about it

    Incredible Sound

I have two Energy CB-10's and an energy sub, along with two def tech surround speakers. I needed to complete my 5.1 system and knew how important the center speaker is. I blindly purchased the def tech center channel based on great reviews on all major websites. I was highly disappointed in it...i paid the extra money for this energy and WOW.....the difference is incredible. The dialogue blasts through without having to turn the volume up real loud. Not only is the dialogue way better, overall my whole system sounds so much better. My only con is that it is big - but I don't care considering how well it sounds.

Chose this speaker with my eyes closed

Went to BestBuy, used the same DVD 5 minute intro to evaluate 5 different center channel speakers using only my ears, and the Energy CC10 won. Listened to a couple of Definitive Technology speakers (8040 and the 8060), a couple of B & W speakers and this one. Not knowing which speaker I was listening to, I chose a run-off with the B & W and the Energy. After determining that I could not choose between the two, I opened my eyes and inspected my choices. The B & W was $700 and the Energy was $300. No brainer, the CC10 wins and sounds equally beautiful in my home as it did in the store. Easy 5 out of 5 stars. By the way, I was planning on spending up to $1000.00 on a center channel speaker and ended up getting a $1000.00 sound out of a $300.00 speaker. Happy. Always let your ears choose.

    Outstanding Center Channel

This speaker was purchased to replace the center channel of the Take Classic 5 Pack Home Theater system. That center channel provided good sound quality but seemed lacking. I had it paired with the CF70s which at times overpowered the little center channel (2 speakers, 3/4" tweeter, 3" Woofer, 100w). I went back to the Energy website to find the Center Channel that should be paired with the CF70s. On Energy-Speakers.com, under CF70 5.1 Home Theater System, the CC-10 (3 speakers, 1" Tweeter, 2 x 5.5" Woofers, 200w) is the center channel speaker sold. I waited for it to go on sale before I made my purchase. Regular Price is $318.99, got it for $179.99 (approx 43% off). Once I hooked it up, I knew I made the right choice. The first thing I noticed was the natural balance & clarity, then the fullness of sound eminating from the CC-10. It blends extremely well with the CF70s especially on the lower frequency range. While the 100hr break-in period hasn't been reach as yet, the sound quality continues to get better and better. Something else interesting happened after installing this speaker. The sweetspot moved. Before it was dead center on sofa, now it's anywhere I sit on the sofa. If you are running a 3.1/5.1/7.1 system, this center channel speaker is a must have. Highly Recommended. The Take Classic 5 Pack has now been moved to my bedroom.

    Loud & Clear

I added this center to a pair of CF-70 towers & a ESW-C10 Sub and what a front sound stage they make! This speaker really delivers the goods for dialogue and since it's the same mid-range driver & tweeter as the towers the L/C/R panning is spot on and seamless. This speaker is also great for playing multi-channel music for the 100's of SACD & DVD-Audio disc's I've played since adding this super center channel to my 7.1 system in my master bedroom. Like my review of the CF-70 Towers, this speaker is well built, has a great gloss piano black front baffle, nice beefy binding posts and is just a great all around center channel speaker. While I don't have Energy speakers for the rear or surround channels they blend well tonally with those existing speakers to create a great surround experience. Adding these Energy speakers (as well as the Marantz AVR) has made bedroom movie watching and music listening so much more enjoyable....almost to the point where my 7.2 Home Theater Room system is getting jealous cause I'm spending less time there! Great speakers! Energy Rocks!

Now I understand why Klipsch bought Energy.

Let me start by saying I'm a Best Buy employee. I work in the Home Theater department. I have been doing very heavy research on what speakers I should buy and why. Thank goodness I did because I learned a lot about everything we carry, so if any of my customers have a technical question, I have the answer! Anyways... I came across these. I didn't know they were owned by Klipsch until I read that they bought Energy back in 2006. When I sat down and heard them I was instantly convinced that those were Klipsch lol. This center channel has very clear bright highs, not to bright though, but just right. The 1" hyperbolic aluminum domed tweeter is the reason why its so clear. Producing up to 20khz in high frequencies. This center channel also has very deep lows. With 5.5" dual ribbed elliptical woofers the lows are simply amazing. Also the low frequencies can go as low as 60hz which is impressive for the price of this center channel. With binding posts in the back I purchased some Monster banana plugs to connect this to my Pioneer VSX-1120-K receiver. Just so everybody knows banana plugs are very important to keep your speakers and receiver safe from your speaker wire corroding into them. Basically what I'm saying is if you connect your speakers with banana plugs you will increase the longevity of your speakers and receiver. Also in my opinion makes your speaker sound better with less distortion. It takes about 2 weeks to break this speaker in, but afterwards it sounds like heaven haha. All in all I'm so impressed with this center I have the Energy CB-10 bookshelf speakers being shipped to my house as we speak. Thank you Klipsch and Energy!

I enjoy the Energy Dual Center-Channel speaker as it truly brings forth the voice audio. Being right under my Samsung 64" plasma HD 3D tv the voice quality is excellent and well placed. It really completes my 6 speaker sound system.

This goes great with my home theatre system. The voices come out so much more clear. I don't have to turn the volume up too high to hear everything. My Wife loves that.

I ORIGINALLY HAD A PIONEER CENTER CHANNEL. I UPGRADED TO THE CC-5, AND IT WAS GREAT. I FOUND OUT THEY HAD A CC-10 AND ONLY THOUGHT HOW MUCH BETTER IT WOULD BE WITH THEM. SO I EXCHANGED THE CC-5 FOR THE CC-10. THEY ARE AMAZING! I WILL ALSO BE EXCHANGING MY CB-10's FOR CB-20's TOO

I was looking for a speaker that produced sharp dialog. I have hearing difficulties. This one works well and fits in with my other speakers for an impressive movie watching experience.
