If you need a slim but big-screened laptop, this is it. I'm using it mainly for writing and editing as well as photo editing, so it's perfect for multiple open windows. It has tons of ports AND a DVD drive, which is hard to find nowadays. Between the HD screen and Bang and Olufsen sound, it's great for media, too. Oh, and 1TB of storage doesn't hurt either.

I am delighted with this computer. That may be just because it is new and my previous laptop was acquired when Windows 7 was a new thing. I am very happy that I opted for one of the largest screens available. It is much faster and has more hard drive space than my previous laptop, and Windows 10 is not a problem as I had feared it might be.

HUGE awesome looking screen, HUGE fast hard disk, ultra fast processor, expandable RAM, expandable storage, nice keyboard, excellent trackpad, heavy but I mean, if you're looking at a 17" screen laptop, you're probably not too concerned about weight, this machine runs like a scalded dog. Too much bloatware, but it's all removable. Give it a look.

Nice with excellent view range, but it is making a lot of background noises. Hope the warranty can be enforced to service the unwanted noise. The power cuts off often too? I wonder why the battery life is bad? But it is a good laptop for the price.

I have been using this laptop for more than one month at present. Touch pad is super sensitive, but within a short time it felt like an extension of my finger. The audio is very good and the wide screen is perfect for what I need. The computer speed is amazing: even with start-up and shut down. It's just a very good lap-top.

The computer functions very well, Boot-up and shut down are quick. The processing time is very good, too. There is only one drawback of this computer: the keyboard. First, please PLEASE give the INSERT key its own dedicated key. I am a touch typist. The INSERT key is available via pressing FN and then PRTSC. The other way to get it is to turn off the NUM LOCK keys and use the zero key on the numeric key pad. But then I lose the numeric key pad. This is very clunky and slows me down. The keyboard itself does not lend to touch typing. It's very difficult to feel the keys under my fingers. They , like the computer, are so flat, that I have to concentrate harder to stay on the home row while typing. Also, the contrast between the color of the letters and the light gray color of the computer itself is poor. The letters need to be black and the font used needs to be more bold or with thicker letters. Because of the light gray color of the computer, turning on the back-lit keys is only good if the room is in low light. With a bright room or a nearby lamp, the lit keys turn almost white. White on light gray is horrible, so I have to turn off the back lighting most of the time. I do recommend this computer, however, improvements to the keyboard would make this EVEN BETTER.

I am old school, as I like a big screen to leave in my office and can handle the wear of tear of many projects. This laptop is very solid and runs fast, even though I added an SSD drive. Worth every penny thus far. I am trying to figure out how to use the SD card reader at the moment!

Although I haven't yet tried all the new features on this computer, I was immediately able to utilize the features I used on my old computer, mostly Office Word & Excel, email, pictures, Internet searches, and games. No additional instruction was necessary. This was a relief to me since some friends have had difficulty adapting to new computers. I look forward to exploring what else I can do with this laptop. It is fast and easy to navigate, even for a 76 year old Luddite,k who was completely dependent upon IT services before retiring from college teaching. Since I am relatively fast at typing, I will probably buy a friendlier keyboard, but that is the only drawback to this computer that I have identified thus far. I am very happy with this purchase.

I got this laptop because of the graphics accelerator, large touch screen and 1TB Hard Drive with Intel Optane memory. I use Pinnacle Studio 21 to edit together videos and photos with SmartSound music generator, and the combination brings most laptops to their knees. I've been very pleased with this laptop's performance. Videos render quickly without the Blue Screen of Death I've consistently encountered with past computers. The touchscreen is responsive and large enough to make reading the newspaper online a pleasant experience. Battery life is fine for non-intensive processing, although I plug in the power for video editing. I purchased this computer as a refurbished item and got an excellent price with no issues so far.

I am partial to HP and find the Envy fulfills my needs for in home computer usage. I purchased one in 2016 and the hinges on the lid broke and it was necessary to send it in for repair. I was a bit unhappy about that issue but thankful I had the extended coverage when I purchased it giving me three years insurance. I decided to purchase another to take its place while it is being worked on. I am glad I did. This is a sleek and beautiful machine that is fast and set up with the needed programs I require to use. It is new yet but hopefully it will continue to function properly and give me needed support for all of my computer needs. It is reasonably priced and a good catch for the price paid. I am pleased with it thus far.

The pictures are so clear. The colors are just right. This 17 inch screen and full-sized key board are just right for senior citizens like us. We are delighted with the HP Envy. It is fast. It stays charged for a long time. WE are so very happy with the computer.

This is one of the best laptops I have ever owned. The screen size is great compared to my last two computers and it is quite speedy. You might say I like it, can not say anything bad about it.

Its a beautiful lap top with all the bells and options fast and quiet and great keyboard. Its defiantly a work horse. I tried the 15 inch screens and just not the same, makes a huge difference, Its a good laptop for around the house it is probably to big and heavy for lots of travel. This one is all metal my last HP was more plastic. So far so good only been a month.

I purchased this for my daughters for online classes. Its touch screen and has all of the things she needed. Its fast and has great storage. Its easy to use, the speakers are loud, it has things we didnt know we needed like a screen magnifier.

I opted for the open-box Excellent model. Saved several hundred dollars and got a perfect brand new laptop. Very happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a fast laptop with good storage and a fingerprint reader.

Found this laptop at Best Buy. Was looking for a computer with a CD/DVD drive and this was the one. It has a huge screen and is robust and very fast. Highly recommended.

I haven't used all the bells and whistles yet. I definitely like the large screen. This laptop is fast and that is worth a lot to me. It will take time for me to give a better review. So far, so good!

Very happy with my purchase. I haven't used the stylus I bought for it, and I bought a mouse because I dislike the ones on laptops, but it is powerful enough for my photos and the boyfriend's podcast.

Purchased this for a friend who has trouble seeing small screens and he loves it. It is a bit heavy though so not great for carrying around half the day.
