son loves it, moves quick and works well out of the box. he's 2 months in to college, is not super techie, and has had no glitches. as a parent i like how this could be good for a solid 5 years based on the processor and memory, and it also feels like it's built well enough to handle a college kid who isn't so gentle with things.

The HP was purchased for my grand-daughter that researched what she wanted and I purchased it for her. She is in a doctoral program at Emory and needed a new computer to do her school work. She is very happy with the gift of the Envy and all it has to offer as far as the memory and the touch screen and the lightness compared to her older laptop which is very happy.

This computer has been great. Programs opens and processes with ease. One of the fastest computers I’ve owned. Despite this there are a few short disadvantages from owning this laptop. First, the touchpad. It’s hard to press for left-click, right-click operation. Also the computer is lacking in the memory department without being user serviceable. The write speed makes up for it though. Overall, I am thoroughly enjoying it and recommend it.

Many reviews are suggesting the screen isnt bright. I have read similar reviews for my previous Acer chromebook. The screen is bright enough for me - in fact as i am writing this, its on half brightness, Since I use it indoors it has not been an issue, I have not tried it outdoors or in an extremely bright room yet however I am confident it would be adequate - as it is a glossy glass screen it is subject to glare. I love matte screens but not sure glass and matte go together, if someone knowss let me know. All other aspects of the laptop are acceptable to me also. The fan is very quiet and has not come on frequently, the glass touch screen to me is a big plus (this is my first laptop with a glass touch screen) I have not tried using it in tablet mode yet, but I will buy a pen soon and try it. The case does not "feel" like metal to me but it feels well regardless. I think the hinges on my unit are plastic also. I dont know how to tell the difference other than touch but it doesnt feel metal to me, maybe this is a different model. Sound is what you can expect from a lap top, the screen like i said has glare but it looks fine to my eyes. As I purchased this open box 550 total for this laptop was a good value. I would not pay more than 600 for this particular model

I was looking for a basic computer that can handle heavy web browsing, and smooth HDMI connection to HD large TV. This computer does that flawlessly. Fast with basic programs like the Office package. I would highly recommend it. A bit heavy and large, but I use this more of like a desktop, don't carry it around with me. I have a Surface to do that.

    First Windows Computer Ever Purchased

I want to start with the fact that I traded in a 3-year-old Mac 12" model with Intel Core M processor. I need a computer for work and personal activities that required a windows platform. I was originally planning on spending upwards of 1k dollars but ended up changing my mind. I spoke to a few of the Bestbuy employees and they convinced me to throttle back and I settled on the HP. I have to say so far (1 week in) The computer is living up to its hype. I do however have some doubts after running some benchmark test online and the computer itself I am experiencing mixed feelings. THere have been many mixed reviews in regards to the doppelganger which boasts a 1TB harddrive versus a 128GB SSD. All in all, I have not really been able to let the computer stretch its legs and get a good test run out of it. I hope that I can settle and keep this computer as long as no issues arise that seem to be regularly happening with the HP Envy 360. Essentially I would refer new users as well as advanced individuals to buy this product as it seams solid. Notable Feature: Face ID unlock Con: Display is not quite up to par after coming from a Mac display

We purchased this laptop last month while it was discounted $300, which made it a great deal. We were looking for a laptop with an SSD and a fairly quick processor. While I wished the SSD was larger, we will just make due with the 128GB. Boots up really quick and can easily handle most tasks (MS Office, Google Docs, etc).
