Fairly easy set up (although the set up was easier with the USB cable than wireless). Simple to print and the photos it prints are great. Works wirelessly with the phone so you can print a photo directly from phone to printer. so far we like it.

The only downside to this printer is it doesn't go to sleep like our previous HP did. It stays on unless you turn it off.

Bought it for my office so I got reimbursed, but it was tooooooo expensive for me to do basic printing. It works just fine. Better than my HP one at home.

LOVE this wireless printer--much better than the wired HP it replaced! The two years free ink is a plus and so easy to set up.

...and I've been an loyal HP printer user for years.
It seem to do what it is suppose to do. On downside is no LCD screen for easy access the HP Smart.
Included color ink cartridge shows full but does not dispense cyan or yellow and traces of blue. Tried to use HP Smart and went thru all the levels of cleaning. Nothing...no where to go for help.
Am on wait list for Brother printer.

You have to set up the printer’s internal WiFi to use it wirelessly, but the password is only found on a network sheet generated by the printer. The fact that you need that sheet is not included in the manual. I only found it by looking at the HP support site.
It isn’t really 2 years of free ink, either. It’s $120 toward their $5/month ink plan. Also not well explained.

This was purchased as a replacement for my HP Envy 5530 when the scanner part died.
This one does not print on business size envelopes.
It has daily paper jams or tears the paper as it prints.
I am glad I bought the extended warranty from Best Buy, I will probably have to use it in the future.
Instead of HP focusing on beeps and lights, they should just have made a straightforward printer/scanner.

Brand response from HP Team
Posted .
Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has performed so poorly regarding printing certain envelopes and experiencing paper jams. The disappointment you express is certainly understandable considering the experience you describe, so I’ll offer a resource and some information I hope will help.
I can’t tell from your review why your printer has performed this way, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
